Blood Moon Eclipse: Tales of the lone white wolf

CHAPTER ELEVEN

Next day at school, I met Kairi but she ignored me.  She did not even return my wave.  I went to class dragging my feet, hesitating my day now that i had even lost my best friend. "Look who it is,  Anathi the w***e!" My bully Carly began to say. "Tsk! Hi w that little w***e business of ours going? Made enough for your college?" She smiled in glee as her posse  roared out in laughter. I had had enough. I was tired, tired of her, very tired of being bullied. I bound my  hands into fists, I was ready to attack her and rip her hair out.  "Shut the hell up!" They all circled me. Laughing. "Oh look, the little w***e wanna start a fight with us!" Carly's friend began to say as she slapped one hand in the other The all began to cheer as they started up a mock fight."Shut the hell up! I have had it with you." 

They all drew back in fear. 

"Her eyes just  changed colour! They are yellow!" One of the girls uttered as she shook. The all went quiet. I had never before felt so much  rage in my young life. I had never lost my cool, especially not over someone petty like Kairi. But thanks to God, our little mock fight that was about to surfice was disrupted by an event that would change the course of my entire life forever. The police   showed up directly asking the students for directions to the principal's office. Something was brewing up. Something was definitetly wrong. It was then  twenty minute s after the exam that my friend was called in. What had she done? "Kairi, you're being requested to go to the principal's office in this very moment!" Our teacher said to her in a serious tone. I could smell the fear on her. Literally. It was a wolf thing. Feeling people's emotions, but what was the reason for all this fear? Her limps were shaking. She looked very very scared and unsettled. 

"Well the rest of you can either stay in here or you can go to the library!" She continued to say but no one moved an inch. People did not want to go to the library because of their need for gossip. In class we could talk but at the library we were expected to stay quiet. It was only after ten minutes when I was called in as well. Gasps rang through out along with the gossip. I could hear what they were saying because of my heightened senses but the inner me fought to block out those voices, those things they said about me. Now, I knew for sure I was in trouble but what was it? Had the truth finally surficed? Had the principal found out I lied to her about Dumuzi?"

I motioned my self like a silloughete into her office wanting to stay unnoticed and unrecognized. "Well come in Miss Kimuta!" The principal invited me in. "Seems like you're back here yet for another issue," she smiled looking annoyed. I noticed Dumuzi was present, my friend Kairi and the two officers. Dressed in their beautiful yellow uniforms and their hats and badges. I shivered. They must have come because they heard rumors about me being a wolf. Had my friend betrayed me for the second time? Was something bad going to happen to me? What would I tell father. He had been so happy in the past few days about me getting admission into Atlantis university!  

"First of all, Miss Kimuta, I do not appreciate lying, especially coming from a prodigious student like you!" I was ashamed. I had lied, something that was not at all a part of me and my virtues.  

 "Do you know why you're here?" She asked me. 

"No." I replied. 

"Well the police has been called because apparently a  case of r**e and blackmail was filed against your classmate Mr Dumuzi Dube over there. She motioned her eyes as he looked down feeling ashamed and most of all remourseful. 

"Yes that's right, umm" the officer began to say as she looked at our principal who exchanged glances with him. Love concealed in her eyes. Our very own principal was the masteress of seduction,  her way of form and being brought eligible men to her. She always had a new lover and now it looked like, she had the hearts for the officer,  but all aside now. This was not about her but the serious issue at hand which I had been summoned to witness. 

"A police case was lodged against your classmate Mr Dumuzi over there." The officer began to say. "We would like a personal statement from you regarding this case." He said. "You see this is rather complicated because we got a complaint that you were sexually assulted by this young man!" The officer continued. 

"Complaint? From who?" I asked with my voice shaky. I always viewed myself the confident type, but on that very day I was afraid. 

"Your friend here, miss Kairi Phar." He said motioning his eyes at her. "She lodged it. I looked into Kairi happy, but pleading eyes, then into Dumuzi's to high were plagued with nothing but regret.  Then back at Kairi then at the officer. 

"He has done no such thing to me sir!" I said to Kairi's horror and disappointment and to Dumuzi's delight. 

"What do you mean Anathi, there's is nothing for you to hide. He will be punished for his deeds and you will be free from his name his evil ways!" She said holding my hand.

I drew my self away from her trip. "As if you care, coz if you did you wouldn't have ended our friendship. It's not like I can't survive without you anyways. I don't need you!" I said with tears streaming down my face.

"Okay all the petty chit chat aside,. Is that all you have to say miss!" The officer inquired. 

"Yes, in no way, shape or form was I assaulted by him." I said as the officer looked Kairi in the face disappointedly but the most of all it was the principal's disappointed face that would haunt me for the rest of the day. She was disappointed in me. She knew I lied. She watched me lie to a police officer through my teeth. 

"Well, I have proof!" Kairi began today and at that moment, my heart dropped in my chest. Honestly I denied everything because I didn't want to create trouble for my self considering Dumuzi's parents were influential. I watched as Kairi drew out the letters, torn and taped together with celotape, some still intact. There the truth was out.  It was luch break when they dragged Dumuzi out into the police car with everyone curiously watchng, while he screamed shouting threats at me and Kairi. I hugged her while she console me. "Your my bestie after all. I could do only this much for you after what I did to you!"
