Anna

I woke up to Keith jumping on the bed screaming my name. “God Keith what are you doing up so early?”

“I missed you. Let's go get breakfast. I’ll make you some cereal, I’m a big boy.” He said while showing me his muscles. I laughed and told him I’ll meet him in the kitchen. I went and showered and got dressed.When I got to the kitchen Keith was pouring our cereal.

“Thanks handsome” I tried to eat fast I didn’t want to see Ace that would be awkward.After we ate we went to my room to watch cartoons. I wasn’t paying attention, I kept thinking about Ace and how we have all signs of being mates. But how is that possible I already have a mate. Only I would end up with two mates that are jerks, just my luck.“ Come on Keith let's go find Lance.”

I needed someone to talk to and I had a feeling that he knew what was going on. Lance has a way to get you tell him everything. He jokes around a lot but he can be serious when he needed to be. When I got outside they were playing football shirtless. Oh my word, they were hot as hell especially Ace.

He had a mouthwatering body and had Trish attached to his arm. God I wanted to kill her, a growl escaped my lips. I wasn’t paying attention and got smacked in the face by the ball, everyone was laughing. I didn’t see a damn thing funny. I was in a cranky mood and they were making it worse.

“What the hell man I think you broke her nose.” Lance yelled. There was blood everywhere. Keith was crying and Lance attacked the guy after he said so, she’s just a rogue. I looked up Lance had him in the air by the throat. No one was going to help me and I didn’t see any of the other guys.

“Lance I need help forget about him.” Once he saw my face his eyes darkened and he threw the guy across the field.

“Kevin grab Keith, I’ll take Anna to the doctor.” I looked up and saw Trish smirking at me and Ace standing there shaking with his eyes black, but the douche didn’t do anything to help me.

“Alright Anna it’s not that bad. You will heal in the next few hours. Use ice for the swelling and take these painkillers, you should be fine. Take it easy for the rest of the day.”

“Thank you doctor.” She smiled and left the room.

“I swear I have the worst luck.” I mumbled to by myself.

“What the hell were you doing on the field? I called your name twice when I saw the ball going your way.” I blushed. I was thinking about how hot they all were but I couldn’t tell him that.

“I got distracted, anyway I was looking for you so that I could ask you something.”

We went to his room to talk, his room was cleaner than I expected.

“Is it safe to sit down on the bed?” I asked.

“I mean you guys are the definition of players.” He put his hand over his heart.

“I’m hurt Anna. I’m not a w***e I just love women, and besides the bed is safer than the floor, shower, and couch.”

“Eww Lance.” He laughed and asked what I wanted to talk about.

“Umm well I wanted to know if Ace had a mate and why he hates rogues so much.” He sighed and looked at the floor.

“No he doesn’t have a mate and as for the rogue situation you have to ask him that yourself.” I had a feeling that it was something bad.

“I asked he won’t tell me, I’m so confused I have a mate but I feel the same mating feelings for Ace. I feel the sparks, I get lost in his eyes, and I day dream sexualthingsabouthim.” I said the last part fast but I knew he wasn’t going to let me get away with that. Why did I have to add that in.

“What was the last part?” He asked while smiling. I hate him, I knew he heard me. I blushed again.

“Lance stop joking around.” He just laughed again.

“You're cute when you blush. Why don’t you find him and ask him whatever you want to know. I’m sure he can explain things better than I can.”

My eyes widened. “No way! After what happened last night I don’t want to see him.”

“What happened last night?” I played with my shirt trying to avoid the question. I knew my cheeks were red.

“Can we go swimming?” He gave me a funny look.

“Anna don’t change the subject now tell me what happened.”

“He blamed me for almost getting raped, then yelled at me so I kind of slapped him then we started to kiss. He freaking turns me on then left and slammed his door in my face.”

I didn’t know I was crying until Lance wiped my tears. “Sssshh Anna don’t cry.”

I couldn’t help it, I felt rejected again. I’ll never be good enough for Liam or Ace, maybe I can run away again and hopefully I don’t have another mate out there.

“It hurts to know that he hates me because I’m a rogue. I told him I had no choice but he doesn’t care I’m such a loser I was rejected by two mates.”

“Don’t cry I don’t like to see you this sad. Why don’t you just go and talk to him, he’s in his office I told him that you were coming.”

“I don’t want to.” I said while pouting.

“You have to and try not to jump each other bones I have to sit in that office.” He said while laughing. I threw the pillow at his head, he always knows how to make me smile. He reminds me of John so much.

“I’ll talk to him later or tomorrow, don’t make me face him today. I’m still humiliated from last night.”

“Too bad, now either you walk or I take you myself.” What the hell does that mean? I sat there with my arms crossed like a child.

“I’m not going.” The next thing I knew Lance had me over his shoulder running to Ace’s office.

“Put me down Lance I’ll slap you. I don’t want to talk to him.” We reached the office in seconds, he put me down and I glared at him. He kissed my forehead and ran.

I wanted to kill him! I turned around to leave but Ace came out of the door “Don’t even think about running, now get in there.” I gave him a nasty look, who the hell does he think he is bossing me around?

I sat in the chair at his desk. He shut the door and locked it. “Lance tells me that you want to talk about something.”

“No Lance has a big mouth and needs to mind his own business.” I scowled.

“I don’t have all day Anna, ask me whatever it is that you want to know I have a lot of paperwork.” Stupid Alpha.

“Why do you hate rogues so much? I know that some are bad but not all of them.” His face hardened, he looked angry.

“Rogues are rogues. They kidnap mates, torture them, kill pack members, rape women, and they do it for fun.”

“Are we mates? I know that I already have one but we have all of the signs of being mates.” I asked while looking at my lap I bit my lip, here it goes here comes the rejection.

“Yes we're mates.” I looked him in the eyes.

“Then why do you hate me so much?” I asked with tears in my eyes he sighed.

“I don’t hate you Anna, I hate what you are. I don’t trust you, the last time I trusted a rogue my family was killed. That filthy f*****g b***h tricked me into thinking we were mates, when really she was just working with other rogues to take down the pack. I was in love with her she was my first love. I was blinded and wanted to become Alpha bad and I needed a mate. I lost my parents and my little sister because of her and I WILL NOT FALL FOR IT AGAIN. I know you aren’t a threat but I just don’t want a mate. You have to leave and go back to your pack. I’ll call the Alpha and tell him that I found you. Go and get your things together he’ll probably be here by the morning.”

I felt sorry for him now it all makes sense.“I’m sorry about your family Ace but I’m nothing like that. If you send me back he’ll torture me. He’ll beat and rape me and there’s nothing I will be able to do to stop him. Please Ace just let me go back to my apartment I won’t bother you or anyone else please I’m begging you! You can’t do this.” I was hysterical thinking about what he would do to me.

I started trembling and shaking, my heart started to beat faster, I was sweating I couldn’t breathe it felt like I was dying. “Anna what’s wrong? You need to calm down and breathe.” The last thing I saw before I passed out was Ace’s worried face.
