My Second Chance Chapter 6

We were at dinner. Everyone kept staring and sneering at me. I guess they really do hate rogues. When I first walked in everyone stopped talking. I spoke to them but they just kept glaring.

“Lance can I eat in my room? I really don’t like to be around a lot of people it makes me nervous.” I whispered. That wasn't a lie, I hated big events and parties. I would always sit in a quiet corner and read on my phone until it was time to go.

“Aww the rogue doesn’t want to eat with us.” A black haired girl sitting beside Ace teased. I just ignored her, I’m use to people being mean to me.

“Lance please.”

“Yeah get her the hell out of here, no one wants her here anyway.” People started to agree. I became afraid of what they would do. I got up and attempted to run to my room. All I knew that it was on the second floor, I was lost.

“s**t where the hell is the room.” I said to myself. I sat down against the wall crying with my head in my hands, will I ever have any friends? No one will ever like me. Why would anyone like me I'm such a crybaby. Who the heck gets lost in a house. What kind of were wolf am I?

“Come on let’s get you to your room.” Once we got to the room I sat on the bed waiting for Lance to say something.

“Lance I swear I didn’t mean to make them mad. It's just back at home I wasn’t allowed to eat with my family and when we ate at the pack house I always ate alone outside. Crowds make me nervous I was beat up by everyone I’m sorry.”

“It’s ok Anna, no one is mad at you. Trish is a b***h, she likes to bully people. I hate her, she's always around trying to get Ace to mate with her. After my brother Kevin didn’t want her she became obsessed with Ace, it’s sad actually he just uses her for his needs and that’s all.” Why did him saying that make me mad?

“Do you think I should apologize? I don’t want them to hate me.”

“No it's fine, now what do you want to do for the rest of the night since Keith took you away from me all day.” I was laughing because Keith wouldn’t let me out of his sight. We played video games, read books, did puzzles and played board games.

“Can we watch movies?” I didn’t have a TV at home. I only had a laptop because my brother snuck and bought me one.

“That’s so boring lets party.”

“I don’t know, I’ve never been to a party before. I can’t even dance and I don’t have anything to wear.” Larry, Kevin, and another boy came in,I guess Lance mind linked them.

"Where do you want to go? We could go to that new club that just opened.” Kevin suggested.

“Ok we're in, I get to see Anna shake that nice ass of hers.” They all burst out laughing including me until a growl came from the door that shut me up immediately.

Ace

“Anna isn’t going anywhere she can’t be trusted.” I said. Are they crazy? She’s not going anywhere near that place. All of those horny men and slutty women. No, it's not a place for a girl like her.

“Chill bro we'll watch her. How much trouble can she get into with the four of us watching her?” Said Lance.

“I’ve never been to a party before I wasn’t allowed to. I’ll stay by their side the whole time.” She asked with pleading eyes. I sighed, she looked so excited and for some reason I just wanted to see her smile... Stupid ass mating bond is turning me Soft.

“Alright but I’m coming along. You idiots aren’t responsible enough to look after yourselves, once you see some hot girl you’re going to leave her.”

“Thank you so much, but Lance I still have nothing to wear.” She looked at the floor sadly.

“I think I have something.” We still had my mom and sisters things stored in a room we just couldn’t get rid of them. I mind linked my brothers.

Hey do you think it’s alright if we let her choose something from mom's or Alex's things? I didn’t want any of you to get mad at her for wearing their clothes.

“Follow me Anna.” She followed behind me when we got to the room she gasped.

“I can’t wear these clothes they’re too expensive and whose clothes are these anyway?”

“They were my mom and sisters things. You can choose something and hurry up before we are late.”

“What do you mean were?” I wasn’t ready to tell her.

“Just choose something.” I snapped.

Anna

God he’s moody, these clothes are too expensive. I only owned one dress back at home because everyone said I was too fat to fit into one.

“I can’t choose can you help me?”

“I don’t wear women’s clothes so why would I help you? Just pick something and come on!”

“Alright alright.”

I picked up a black dress and some black flats. I didn’t want to die tonight so I didn’t choose heels. I broke my ankle once when I tried on my mothers.

“I’m ready.” I said happily.

“It’s about time.” He mumbled.

“Get dressed and meet us downstairs in an hour.” He didn’t even give me time to answer, he just left. Why is he so rude?

I took a shower and let my hair air dry. I looked under the sink and found a bag of makeup, why would they have a bag of new make up? God they're weird. I put on eye liner, mascara, and lip gloss, I didn’t know much about make up I’m a tomboy.

The dress fit me perfectly, even though my boobs looked huge in the dress it was still beautiful. Plus I doubt if Ace will let me go back and find something else, he’s so impatient. I looked in the mirror and took a deep breath, here goes nothing. I walked into the living room where everyone was waiting.

“I’m ready.”

“Sweetie Pie you look hot! Who knew you had a body under all those clothes.” I'm sure my face was tomato red, I’ve never been complimented before.

“I agree you’re going to have all the men tonight.” Said Kevin. Ace growled at his brothers and said let's go. I wanted to ride with Lance and the boys but Ace wouldn’t let me, he made me ride with him.

When we got to the club I got nervous, I hate large crowds. I started to rethink this. I was about to protest when Ace opened my door telling me to come on.

“Where are the other guys?” I asked. When I turned around they were walking up. The line was around the building.

“Are you sure we're going to get in? And I’m not even 21.”

“Don’t worry you’re with us they’ll let you in trust me.” He wasn’t lying, we walked right in. Lance ordered me a drink that tasted like berries it was good I had four. After those four Larry said let’s take shots. I took one and choked.

“That’s horrible.” All the guys laughed.

“Don’t laugh at me it’s my first shot!” I pouted. An hour later and few more drinks I loosened up. I danced with the boys until they all went their separate ways and I was stuck in the middle alone. I was looking around I didn’t see anybody. I was looking around when a tall guy grabbed my butt.

“Hey!” I yelled. He just smiled and said let’s dance.

“No thanks I’m looking for my friends.” I tried to walk around him but he grabbed my arm and pulled me into his chest. I tried pushing him off.

“Let go! Please I don’t want to dance I need to find my friends.”

“Just one dance please, I’m sorry for coming off as a jerk.” He apologized.

“Alright one dance.” He smiled and we started to dance. He was actually nice.

“Let me buy you a drink.”

“I don’t know I really need to find my friends.”

“I’ll help you find them.” He offered.

Where the hell could they be? We looked everywhere. He found us a table and we sat there talking and did shots. He was so funny, he gave me his number before he left. I went to restroom and when I came out I was grabbed and slammed against the wall, that hurt like a b***h!

“You thought I was just going to let you go? Not after all of that teasing.”

He kissed me and dragged me toward the exit. I couldn’t scream he had his hand over my mouth. It didn’t help that I was drunk off my ass. He pulled me into the alley and started kissing down my neck.

“Please don’t do this.” He slapped me and told me to shut up. I stood there in a daze, then I thought about my life. I ran away from an abusive jerk of a mate. I’m not going to be taken advantage of by this low life.

The next time I have s*x is going to be with my husband. I kneed him in the family jewels he fell to his knees cursing. I tried to run be he got hold of my ankle I let out the loudest scream that I could before the wind was knocked out of me.

“You b***h!” He was on top of me covering my mouth and ripping my underwear, that made me fight more.

“This is going to be fun I like it when they fight!”

“You have ten seconds to get off of her.” Oh thank god.

“f**k off man go find your own girl.” One minute he was kissing my neck the next he was flying across the alley.

He got up and charged at Ace which was a dumb move by the looks of it he was expecting that. He moved just in time, he got up and Ace punched him in the face causing blood to go everywhere. Once he was down Ace kept beating him.

“Ace calm down please.” He just wouldn’t stop he was like a crazy person. Just then Lance and the guys came flying around the corner.

“Shit.” I heard Kevin say.

“Lance stop him he’s going to kill him.”

“What the hell happened?” It took Kevin, Larry and Shawn to hold him back. Lance was holding me because I felt like I was going to pass out. When Ace looked at me I almost peed my panties, if I had some on. His eyes, they were scary and beautiful at the same time. I couldn’t look away, they were pitch black with brown swirls.

“Anna what the hell? I’ve called your name twice, we need to calm him down. I need you to do exactly what I say. Go over to Ace and hug him or touch him I don't care just go near him and try to calm him down.” I looked at him like he was crazy.

“No look at him, if they can’t control him how can I?”

“Just do it trust me.” After getting a nod from the guys I did what they said. I walked over to where they were struggling pinning him to the wall.

“Ace please calm down.”

“Come on bro can’t you see that she’s scared.”

I hesitated and wrapped my arms around his waist it took a minute but he finally calmed down a bit. I looked at his eyes they were returning back but that isn’t what surprised me the shocks I felt when I touched him did. What the hell, how can this be?

“What the hell happened?” Asked Kevin. That made Ace start to shake again.

“That piece of s**t rogue was attacking her. If I hadn’t have come who knows what would have happened. Where the hell were you guys?” They all looked around guiltily.

“I knew I shouldn’t have brought her, I turn my back for one minute and look what happens. I should beat the s**t out of all of you, take care of that.” He grabbed my arm and pulled me to the car.

“Get in.” I didn’t argue he had a crazy look in his eyes and he was driving dangerously fast.

“Ace please slow down you’re going to kill us.”

“Shut up! How could you be so stupid? He could have raped you he’s a rogue they’re unpredictable.” Was he blaming me? All I did was dance with the guy I thought he was nice… Until he attacked me.

“I’m sorry.” It wasn’t even my fault why was I apologizing? When we got to the house he practically threw me in my room.

“What is your problem?” I asked. I was irritated with his behavior.

“My problem is that I have to watch you like a child. First you sneak on my territory, then you sneak out of your room after I told you not to, then you go and get yourself attacked by a f*****g rogue he could have killed you!”

I stood on the bed so we were the same height, well almost. I don’t know if it was because I was a little tipsy or fed up but something snapped in me. I put my finger in his face.

“You listen to me, I have been through hell my entire life and yet I still find the good in people and my situations. You have been nothing but an ass to me ever since you met me. Yes I’m a rogue but it wasn’t my fault. I had no damn choice that doesn’t give you the right to be rude to me. I was almost raped and killed tonight but that wasn’t my fault either. There was no way I could have beat him but I fought my hardest, he’s 6’1 and all muscle I’m 5’4 148lbs what damage could I have done and where the hell were you? You just f*****g left me alone!” I was breathing hard. I was beyond angry, how dare he blame me for everything.

“Who the hell do you think you are? I’m the Alpha, you don’t come into my house and disrespect me you are nothing! Do hear me? Nothing but a filthy rogue.” The next thing that happened shocked me. I slapped him, hard as I could. Uh Oh he’s going to kill me. His eyes started changing.

I wonder if I can make it to the door. I jumped off the bed and tried to run, I didn’t make it far the next thing I knew I was on the bed with him hovering over me.

“I’m sorry please don’t kill me.” I squeezed my eyes shut waiting for the blow that never came.

Instead I felt his soft lips on mine, I’ve never been kissed like that. I thought Liam was a good kisser but Ace... Oh Ace his kisses sent pleasure all over me especially my core. I moaned into the kiss he was running his hand up my bare thigh sending shocks wherever he touched.

Suddenly he pulled away, I was looking at him confused.

“Why did you stop?” He just stared at me, that blank cold look was back.

“This was a mistake I have to go.” I couldn’t believe him.

“Why are you leaving? Did I do something wrong?”

“Good night Anna.” I was running after him when we got to his door he slammed it in my face. I didn’t understand, I thought he wanted this he was the one who kissed me.

I went to my room and cried I can’t believe I was being rejected again, I couldn’t understand why it hurt so much. I already have a mate so why do I feel the tingles and the pull with him that I felt with Liam. I was getting a headache I cried myself to sleep.

Ace

I didn’t mean to be so harsh but I was getting carried away, my wolf wouldn’t shut up about marking her. I couldn’t do that, I wouldn’t put my family in danger again because of my stupid actions.

I know it’s not fair to hold a grudge against her for what someone else did but I just couldn’t trust her. I punched the wall, I was confused and angry I went back to her room but stopped when I heard her crying. Damn it, I must have really hurt her feelings. I was going to apologize and hold her but she probably didn’t want to see me. I went back to my room and went to sleep.
