Liam

John thinks I don’t know where he’s been going. I found it strange that my Beta kept disappearing every few months. I got curious so I followed him one time. When I saw who he was meeting I was furious and relieved, at least I knew where she was.

I’m going to give her a little freedom. I told the pack that she was my mate but she didn’t want me and that’s why she ran. They all felt sorry for me, that got me laid even more. Everyone hated her which is how I wanted it so when she comes back they won’t care about me treating her the way that I will. She’s going to regret running from me. I’m going to have so much fun making her miserable.

Anna

“Thank you for seeing me.” I was nervous, I didn’t like Alphas after being with my mate. Ace sat there with a blank expression.

“Yeah Lance has been bugging me nonstop to meet you. I guess you have him wrapped around your finger but I won’t be fooled.” He said sneering. What is his problem?

“He’s convinced that you’re not a rogue. I know differently, tell me your story and if it checks out I’ll let you stay. It’s up to me whether you live or die.”

Die? I didn’t even do anything wrong. I didn’t want to tell him about my mate, I didn’t want him to pity me.

“I do have more important things to do.” He said impatiently.

I told him all about my mate and why I ran away. I saw his eyes keep flashing from black to brown and he would growl. What the hell is his problem now? This guy has serious anger issues.

“I’ll need to call Alpha Liam and verify this since you’re an alphas mate I’m obligated to send you back.” My eyes widened with fear.

“No you can’t! Please he’ll kill me. I won’t be any trouble I promise.” He seemed to be thinking.

“I’m sorry I have to.” I panicked.

"LANCE!... LANCE!” He came flying through the door.

“What’s wrong Anna? Ace what did you do to her?”

“I did nothing, she’s an Alpha’s mate I need to send her back. This could cause a war between us, I know we’re stronger but I don’t want to lose any of my pack members over a rogue.”

“I’m not a damn rogue.” I yelled, I was tired of him treating me like this I did nothing wrong.

“Please Lance, he will kill me if I go back. Don’t let him send me back there, I will do anything.” Lance glanced at Ace I think they were mind linking.

Ace you can’t do this to her, she doesn’t deserve that. She’s your mate.

Don’t you think I know that. I want to kill him for putting her through that but she doesn’t belong to me, she already has a mate and the law says I have to send her back.

Look at her, could you really do that? She’s terrified, do you see a mark? He never claimed her so she’s yours if you mark her first.

Fine, she can stay for a while. If she causes any trouble I’ll throw her ass back in that cell.

“I’ll call your brother and verify who you are. You can stay here for a couple of months but then I’m sending you back.”

“Thank you.”

I was relieved that he was letting me stay. Thinking about Liam and what he would do had me shivering in fear. I’ve been in this room for days, I couldn’t take it anymore. I knew he had already called my brother so why the hell am I stuck in this damn room? I guess he doesn’t want a 'rogue' wandering around his pack.

I saw that the guards were asleep so I snuck past them and went exploring. I went to the third floor and was walking past a door when I heard a child cry. I opened the door and saw a little boy around the age of four or five sitting on the bed holding a teddy bear crying. He looked scared I’m guessing he had a nightmare.

“Hey hey little man what’s wrong?” I sat beside him and lifted him on my lap, he didn’t answer.

“Did you have a bad dream?” He nodded his head yes.

"How about I read you a story. What’s your name?”

“I’m Keith, who are you?” Wow this little boy talks clear for his age.

“I’m Anna.”

“Will you stay after the story Anna?” I looked around, I didn’t want to get caught but he was pouting. I could never say no to that face.

“Alright, let's read you the story and I’ll stay with you like a sleep over.” He smiled and got off my lap. I tucked him in and laid beside him.

I woke up to a screaming Ace. “What the hell are you doing here? What did you do to him? Get away from him” I jumped up waking Keith in the process.

“I-I was just-”

“I don’t give a damn! Why the hell are you out of your room?” He yelled.

“Ace you said a bad word.” Keith said and I smiled at him. Lance came in at that time.

“What the hell is going on? Why are you screaming? Oh hey Sweetie Pie.”

“Hi Lance.”

“Get her the hell out here. I don’t trust her enough to be around my little brother.” I was hurt by that I would never do anything to Keith.

“Come on Anna.” I started walking towards the door.

“No Anna, stay with me please don’t go.” Keith said while crying. I walked to the bed and sat down.

“I have to go now handsome but I’ll see you soon if your brother lets me.” He jumped on my lap hugging me this little boy is strong.

“I don’t want you to go, what if the man in the dream comes?”

“Aww. I told you it was just a dream. No one is going to hurt you, your brothers won’t let that happen.”

“Ace can I go with Anna ppllleeeaaassseee?” Aww he was so cute.

“Can he? Please, I get so bored sitting in the room alone. I like having him around I won’t hurt him I promise.”

Both of them was looking at me with those big eyes and pouting faces. s**t, how can I say no?

“Ok but I have to talk to Anna first and you have to eat breakfast and get dressed. Ok little man.”

“Yaay I’ll see you later Anna.” He kissed her cheek and left with Lance.

“You follow me.” She got off the bed and followed me looking scared.

“Your story checks out. I’m sorry that you had to go through that but you are still a rogue and I don’t trust you.”

“I had no choice but to become a rogue, all rogues aren’t bad. I’ve never done a bad thing a day in my life, the worse thing I did was curse and I barely do that.”

I believed her I talked to her brother he said that Anna is a kind person even though she was treated like s**t by her family and pack. She still kept a smile on her face and treated everyone with respect. She was playing with her hands looking into her lap.

“When can I go home?”

“I don’t know. I still don’t trust you, you’re going to have to stay here until I know that you aren’t working with other rogues.” I had to be careful I wasn’t going to be blinded by love again.

“Ok but..Umm...I.. Wanted to know if you would let me stay in my room please. The cell is so dark and scary and those guards and other men scare me. Please I won’t be any trouble I’ll do whatever you tell me.” She stuttered. She was so cute. I shook that thought away, what the hell am I thinking she’s a rogue.

“If Lance agrees to keep an eye on you then you can stay in your room. But know this, I am watching you so don’t try a damn thing I will kill you.” I growled making her jump.

“Alright thanks so much.” I mind linked Lance and told him what was going on. He was happy to watch over her. I can tell he loved her even though they just met.
