Chapter 3 My Second Chance

“Hello Kitten. I knew I would find you here.” I was in the library reading like always.

“Go away Liam I’m trying to do my work.” I hate him. He does things to make me mad all the time. It's been three weeks since that little incident. I thought that he would change but obviously it’s not going to happen so I avoid him as much as I can.

“I have a surprise for you baby. Meet me at our spot at eight.” He got up and left, he didn’t even give me a chance to say no. I don’t want any surprises from him I can’t stand him. His surprise will end up him killing me.

I went to my next class, why did he have to be in here? He was in the corner kissing his girlfriend. Yes I said girlfriend, he never broke up with her. I was walking home when I felt an ache in my chest, that meant that he was having s*x again. I learned how to breathe through the pain. I can’t take this much longer. I went home and got dressed ready to go get my 'surprise'.

“Mom I’m going out for a few.”

“Ok honey.”

Typical her, she didn’t even care. As long as I didn’t bother her, my dad, my brother or sisters I was free to do whatever. My parents always compared me to my sisters. I have two and I was the 'disappointment'. I wear big glasses, I have wavy black hair, green eyes and was overweight for a werewolf, so I was told I don't even think it's possible.

I'm a nerd, I loved school and wanted to become a vet, I really love animals. Mary was a year younger than me and Stacey was a year older. They dressed slutty, my mom says it's fashion. Yea right, my family hates me. They say I'm an embarrassment, the only one who loves me is my older brother Jonathan.

I arrived at our spot, it's a treehouse that he and his father built just for them to get away from pack life. I knocked on the door and he opened it shirtless, I hate him but he is so sexy.

“Hey Anna! Go to the bedroom, I’ll be there in a few.” I sat on the bed waiting for him. He came in smiling.

“What’s this about?” I asked him becoming nervous, I had a bad feeling.

“You see, I lost a bet and now I have to pay up. You are the reward.” What the hell?

“What are you talking about?” His friend came into the room smiling like crazy.

“What’s going on Liam?” I was scared then.

“You have to have s*x with Mark because I lost a bet. Now be a good girl Kitten and do what he says.”

“No I won’t have s*x with him. You’re my mate I will only have s*x with you.”

“DON’T TELL ME WHAT YOU WILL OR WON'T DO!” He yelled towering over me. At this point I was crying, he can be scary and intimidating at 6ft3 and all muscles.

“Liam don’t make me do this.” I begged. This is wrong on so many levels. He's done some bad things to me but this takes the cake.

“I promise this is the only time that I will ask you to do something like this. Come here, how about I get you in the mood and he can finish.” He kissed me and I pulled away.

“No I won’t do this.” He slapped me.

“Did you just slap me?” I asked completely shocked.

“Yeah and I’ll do it again. I was going to be nice and only give him 30 minutes but because you're being a b***h he gets an hour. Mark have fun! She’s a good lay.” He said while laughing and walking away, jerk. Mark looked at me with lust in his eyes.

“Turn around and get on your hand and knees, I don’t want to see your ugly face.”

“I’m not doing this please move.” He slapped me and threw me on the bed. I screamed and Liam came in.

“What’s going on?” He asked.

“She’s still being difficult, she should be lucky that someone wants to f**k her.” He said while glaring at me. I still had my hand on my cheek where he hit me.

“He hit me Liam, are you going to stand there and do nothing?” He turned and growled at Mark.

“You can touch her but if you hit her again I will kill you.” So he can have s*x with me but can’t hit me? Way to protect me Liam, I thought to myself.

“Kitten you will do what he says. Don’t make me have to hurt you. Now take your clothes off get on the bed and do what he says. I won’t tell you again.” This so wrong. I did what he said because I didn’t want to know what he would do if I didn’t listen.

I went home and curled in ball and cried myself to sleep. I’m disgusting, I can’t believe he made me do that. The next afternoon I scrubbed myself red and went to get a bottle of water.

“Anna be ready at seven, the Alpha is having a party later. Everyone has to be there.”

“Do I have to go? You all will just ignore me anyway. Why can’t I sit at home.” I didn’t want to see him or Mark. The freaking perverts.

“No Anna, everyone has to be present. Now be ready at seven.”

“Ok dad.” The day went by fast. I got ready for the party, when we arrived I spotted Liam in the corner with his girlfriend. This is going to be a long night. I went to the bathroom for some privacy. I hate being around so many fake people.

“Hey, hurry up in there!”

“Coming.” I opened the door and saw Liam, he pulled me to his bedroom.

“Liam I’m not doing this. I’m still sore from you and Mark please.” I begged.

“I’m not here for that. I’m here to tell you that I’m proposing to Dianna tonight and you won’t say anything. I will still have my fun with you, I will just be married to her.” I gasped he is the biggest asshole ever. They should put his face next to that name with a crown on top. I couldn’t take this anymore it's time I grew a backbone, I knew he would try to kill me for doing this but it’s the only way.

“I will not sit here and watch MY MATE be with someone else! Liam Shaw, I Annabelle Deering rej-” He must have realized that I was rejecting him because he cut me off.

“I order you not to reject me, that’s an Alpha order.”

“You f*****g asshole, you don’t want me so why can’t I reject you?”

"Because you are MINE!” He said and walked out. Forget this I knew what I had to do, I would run away. I would have to become a rogue but that’s just something that I will have to deal with.

I packed some of my things, the important stuff. Laptop, IPod, and a few clothes. I had $12,000 saved up, I never got birthday or Christmas presents they always gave me cash. My grandma left me $10,000 before she moved away. She told me to use it to start school, but this was an emergency.

Family,

I left. I will come back eventually, I just need time to myself. I know you don’t care so you don’t have to worry about your disappointment. Jonathan I know you’re going to be mad at me but I couldn’t stay here any longer. I’m tired of being treated like trash by everyone, mate included.

I love you soooo much you were the only one who cared for me and I appreciate that. You're the best big brother ever, I’ll call you when I get situated. I’ll miss you, stay safe until I return.

I left the letter on the kitchen table, called a cab, and set off to my new life.

Jonathan

I haven’t seen Anna for a while. I know she hates these events, she's usually hiding somewhere by herself. I asked around but no one saw her. Where the hell is she? I called her phone but got the voicemail.

“Hey Liam I’m going home to see if Anna’s there. She’s not answering her phone.”

“Yeah alright call me if you need me.” He went back to kissing his girlfriend.

I ran to my house, we lived around the corner from the pack house. I ran to Anna’s room the lights were off, something’s wrong.

“Anna are you here?” I got no answer.

Where the hell is she? I went to the kitchen and spotted a note in her handwriting. I almost shifted in anger, how the hell could she do this and most important how could her mate do that to her. I wish I knew who the hell he was.

“Mom, dad Anna ran away! She’s gone.”

“What? She has nowhere to go she'll be back.” My dad said dismissing me. He was pissing me off, how could he not care that she left.

“No read this, she left a letter we have to go find her.” My mom started to cry.

“This is our fault, we treated her like an outcast now she’s gone. You have to find her please.”

“Liam I need your help, Anna ran away.” His eyes flashed black.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE RAN AWAY?” He yelled. Why the hell was he so mad? He never paid her any attention.

Liam

“Liam I need your help Anna ran away.” My beta yelled while running to me, I knew my eyes flashed black because my wolf was taking over.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE RAN AWAY?” I was pissed. I’m going to kill her, I didn’t say she could leave this territory.

“Here read the letter she left. Her i***t of a mate must have hurt her too much this time. I’m going to kill him whoever he is.” I growled at being threatened.

“Gather some trackers and fighters, meet me in the back. We will find her don’t worry.” Wrong thing to do Anna, when I find you you’re going to wish that you never left.
