I glared at Erin as the darkness seemed to fade and we were once again in the cave. He smiled as he stepped towards me before Nezzura's voice rang out. "No!" She yelled and Erin looked up confused, "she is to walk out unharmed." "You promised I'd get her!" Erin yelled. "You silly human, thinking I'm tied down to promises," she laughed, "you sold your soul to me to have her. And you did. You never did say how long or how you got to have her." "Why you-" "Let's not forget who's in charge here," she said, her voice like poison. Fear crept into Erin's eyes as he looked at his feet. "Now, leave," she said to me, "your dragon is outside. You better o save your friends before it's too late." "What-" "Go! Now!" She screamed. I jumped and sprinted out of there to where Jordan sat, looking uninterested. When he saw me, he jumped up and licked my face. "Good to see you too," I jumped on him and glanced back to the cave. Was that really only a warning or something more? "Let's go!" I yelled and Jordan jumped off the cliff and we fell towards the trees before he spread his wings and we were off. My friends were in trouble. And I had to save them. *** "So, Felix," Maurice said as he held a spoon of soup towards his mouth, "you must be hungry." Felix remained quiet as e glared at the old man. Maurice didn't seem bothered by it, however. He just shrugged and left without Felix taking a bit. Felix, doing his best to ignore his hunger, fought against the bonds once more. He couldn't tell how long he had been there. It could have been a couple hours to a couple days for all he knew. He could tell that he was wearing down the bonds that held his wrist. That did give him a thin ray of hope. That's when he heard something heavy upstairs. He glanced up at the boards above his head and fought against the bonds with more vigor. With all the confusion he could escape. But how would he? He might be in the middle of the ocean by now. With one final tug, his hands came loose and he looked at the wooden beam that he had been tied to in triumph. He climbed up the ladder and slowly lifted the trap door. His heart sank at what he saw. It seemed that Jade and Jasmine had come to save him. They were flying above dodging whatever was thrown at them. But he could see that Jade wasn't going to last sitting up there. She was much to impatient. No. Soon she was going to dive and there were too many men for her to handle.
