Jakob’s pov
I rolled over to turn my alarm off then got up and headed to the shower. I had training this morning and then I had a class to teach. Once I showered I headed down to the training field and started once everyone showed up. I took it a little easy on everyone on days I had a class so today I halved everything. Hardin walked up to me after sparring and said,
“I like class days bro. I have enough energy afterward to go upstairs and go around with Aspen if the pups are still sleeping.”
I laughed and said I can’t wait until Annalynn and I start our family man, I love how Silas is Uncle Jak’s boy and it’s good practice for Anna and i when we help with them. Hardin looked at me and raised his brow. I said come on man you are really the only person I have to talk to about stuff like this and I know it’s weird because she is your sister but I would never go into detail on things with you when we do you know. He nodded and said,
“thanks bro, I don’t think I would be able to handle listening to stuff like that without beating your as*.”
after training, I headed to the gym to get started with my class and when I got there Brie came up to me and said,
“there is someone here wanting to sign up.”
I headed towards to self-defense room and when I opened the door I turned around and said Brie, please tell her to leave now. I refuse to teach her.
She said “yes Beta Jakob.” and she headed into the room.
I heard yelling coming from the room and I know it is Colette. I called Aspen and said it was an emergency and needed her at the gym. When she arrived she asked what was going on and I said just listen. After a minute of listening to the yelling, she walked up to the door and opened it, and yelled,
“what in the hell is going on in here?”
Brie told her she was only doing her job and asking Colette to leave. I walked up and said that is true Aspen. I asked Brie to tell her to leave because I refuse to teach her. Colette pushed past Brie and said,
“I would like to know why I am being sent away from the class when I have done nothing wrong.”
Aspen held her hand up as I was about to tell her why and she said “Colette the Beta has the right to refuse to teach anyone and he does not have to explain himself in this case. You know as well as I do why Beta Jakob does not want to teach you.” Colette huffed and said,
“I have done nothing wrong I am here to learn how to defend myself.”
I stepped in front of Aspen and said unless you want everyone in this class to know why I don’t want to teach you then I suggest you leave now before you pis* me off to the point I tell everyone. She huff and said,
“I demand to speak with the Alpha. I am being treated unfairly and I was told I would not be treated as an outsider.”
Aspen said “ok I will escort you to my husband’s office right now.”
once Aspen left with Colette I sent her and mind-link and said thank you, Aspen, I really didn’t want to be a dic* but she wouldn’t leave.” she said “no problem and don’t worry I will make sure she doesn’t come back.” after we cut off the mind-link I started my class.
Aspen’s pov
As I was walking Colette up to the packhouse to go speak with Hardin I was mind-linking him letting him know what was going on. I told him to just act like he knew nothing when we got there and let her talk. When we got to his office, Colette pushed past me and opened his door, and started yelling she was being treated unfairly for being an outsider. I walked into Hardin’s office and grabbed her shoulder and turned her towards me and said excuse me Colette but the last time I checked my last name was Tifton and I'm 100 percent sure I am Luna over this pack and you just disrespected me. She gasped and said,
“see Alpha Hardin I am being treated unfairly”
He growled at her and said, “you pushed past my wife and Luna to make your way into my office to complain you are being treated unfairly but yet it seems like you are doing nothing more than disrespecting my pack and when something is said to you, you pull the being treated unfairly because of being an outsider card.” Colette stopped whining and said,
“Alpha Hardin I am not disrespecting your pack all I was trying to do was take the self-defense class so I could learn how to defend myself but your Beta refused to teach me then had the Luna come down to make me leave when all I was trying to do was ask why I was being told to leave.”
I looked at Hardin and said Beta Jakob refused to teach Colette because he is uncomfortable being around her due to continuous flirting by Colette even though she knows he has a mate. Colette turned and said,
“I didn’t know being nice and trying to conversate with someone was called flirting.”
I looked at her and said Colette you know good and well you have been flirting with him. I have seen you at dinner. She huffed and said,
“I have done nothing but try to be friendly with people here, and I'm sorry if you mistook that for flirting.”
Hardin mind-linked me and said, “let it go, my love if she does anything else I will step in because from now on I will be keeping an eye on her.” I stopped arguing with her and let her think she won this argument. Hardin said “Colette out of respect for my Beta I will allow his request to refuse teaching you. Now if we are done here I have other matters to attend to.” Colette huffed and walked out of Hardin’s office. Once the door was closed he looked at me and said,
“why don’t you teach her?" I laughed and said you are hilarious baby. He said “I wasn’t joking. Since Jakob will not teach her why don’t you?” I said why don’t you ask Anna to teach her? I'm sure she would love the chance to spar with Colette.
Hardin looked at me with a stern look and I said oh no don’t even give me that look Hardin Tifton we have 3 pups that I have to tend to and I am Luna of this pack I have other duties to tend to and do not have the time to teach some low she-wolf who cannot respect the mate bond and leave Jakob alone. He said,
“fine I will find another female to teach her self-defense.” I stood up and walked towards him, kissed him and said good luck with that baby, and walked out of his office.
After I left Hardin’s office I went to the kitchen to check on the menu for dinner and to see if Mrs. White could start canning homemade baby food for the pups. She was happy I came and asked her she said the only pups she had ever been asked to make food for were Hardin, Anna, and Jakob and that was years ago. She said to give her a list of what all I wanted them to start with and she would get on canning for me. I told her thank you and then headed to my office to see what I had to do for the day.
