Alex   The crowd was dispersing quickly, and Nora had collapsed in his arms. Alex needed to get out of there before anyone saw them. He could actually feel her getting weak.   All the years he had known her, Nora had never fainted like this. Something was drawing on her power, and he didn’t know what it was.   He glanced over his shoulder where the crowds were and took a leap of faith extending his wings. Gabe was on his own at this point. He had a priority, and it was Nora. If Gabe got caught, well, he’d figure it out.   Nora was his life.   “Hang on,” he lifted off the ground toward the direction of that door they came through in Bernard’s office. Her mouth was slightly parted open, and eyes shut. He could see the color actually draining from her face the longer they were there
