It's been a week since Brandon asked Maria to marry him, though she had told him that she would think about it, she had not even given it a second thought after the date they had or let it cloud her mind.

There was no way she would jump Into a marriage so easily with a guy she barely knew and was not even familiar with, everything about him seems shady

" I don't care what my dad thinks anymore all I know is that am not going to see him anytime soon" Maria mumbled to herself just as she thought about Brandon her mind automatically drifted towards the waiter boy who had stolen her attention that day

A Small smile blossom on her face as she remembered the way he had winked at her, she was really captivated by him, Jake was not only good looking but was also blessed with a hot body with that jaw line that just wanted to make her kiss around them while she run her hand Through his hairs,

Maria quickly shook my head to remove such unhealthy thoughts of him away from her mind

" what is wrong with you Maria, stop. Behaving like a depraved lady,"

she said to herself as she was trying her very best to resist anything she felt for Jake , she have seen alot of guys and have also been courted countless times

But there has never been any guy that has been able to make her look more than twice or able to attract her attention to this degree , instead she was always the one who always got the feeling of stares behind her, she always knew she was the center of attraction

'A Queen' that was what her dad calls me in Italian, he always said it with his cheap itallian accent 'regina '

she never really took all of that so seriously yes she know she was a beautiful lady, but the part of her dad pressuring her to get married was already getting on her last nerves already

Chin Gigante wanted his daughter to get married to someone who was loaded and would be able to take care of her he never wanted his princess to lack anything in life , and when Brandon had told him of his interest in his daughter, he had wasted no time setting it up, after all Brandon was a son of an old friend, and that was why he made Maria meet up with Brandon Johnson the other day

Maria little stomach seem not to be enjoying her little meditative time as it growled just a little to remind her that she had to eat to keep her shape

she made her way to the kitchen as she tried to make herself a fastplate only to realise that most of the food stuffs were finished again

" why on earth does dad has to forget this everytime, now what am I going to eat? "

Maria was pissed at my father's nonchalant attitude, all he was supposed to do was pick the groceries from the store when he was coming home yesterday but he didn't, she would have love to do it but ever since her mom died few years ago, he has taken it upon himself to get the foodstuffs himself

And anytime she asks him why won't let her do it, he will say

" that was the only house chores your mother allowed me to do when she was alive, so at least leave me with the privilege of continuing to do it till my bones can't support me again"

Seriously Maria had no Qulams with him buying the food stuff, she just wish he would always remeber on time with the delivery of it, Maria's little mind drifted to the memories of her late mother

seems still have to take care of my two siblings till they are old enough to fend for themselves, her mother had died cancer and she could remember her dad promising that he was always gonna take care of them no matter what happened

Maria mother was nothing like her dad(chin Gigante) they were like two opposite of a coin even when her mother was alive, she have always wanted Maria to marry who she wanted and she was always preaching of love, telling Maria to wait for the right person, as she believe true love existed

"I guess I really need a fast meal"

Maria exclaimed and her mind moved to the restaurant that she and Bradon had there first date and she remembered she had collected a flyer saying something like they do delivery to homes

She quickly rushed to her room as she was determined to taste there meal again , so she got the card and order in

Jake has not really been have the best of days at the restaurant for a while now and the other day his boss had call him after he had locked gaze with a very beautiful lady that had manage to entrap his attention and made him smile sincerely with lots of love for the very first time

He has been trying to remember a vivid picture of the lady face in his mind but no matter how he tried he could not seem to remember or come up with her beautiful face perfectly all he remembered was that she was extremely beautiful

In fact he felt his mind was failing him because they were in shock that day when he saw her, that he was not able to capture her beauty completely

Every day since that day he had always gone to work with a wide smile hoping she would swing by to eat again in there restaurant, even if he knew she was on a date that day he was still expecting to see her even just once

The other day his boss called him, she had call to confess her feelings for him which put him in a tight spot , it had came as a shock to him but he had politely turned her down giving alot of excuses until she let it go and let him resume back to work telling him they would talk later about it which he was not really interested in talking about again but by the time he came down the lady was long gone

He had shouted that day and asked his colleague if any of them had even gotten here name but to his dismay none did, so all he did was crush on a girl he does not even know her name

" hey brother she ain't coming , you have to stop looking so sulk, look all our regular customers who are always coming here just to catch a glimpse of you are even affected with your foul mood"

Joe wrapped his arms around jake's shoulder as he stared at him straight in the eyes before Jake released a sigh

" Calrisa said there is an order that needed to be dropped somewhere not too far she felt you should do it if you are interested, maybe help you clear your head and come back to your right sense, we do need the happy version of you so are you up for it?"

" yea I will take it " Jake replied weakly
