A Shocked Proposal

Maria could not explain what came over her, the waiter just seem to have been able to capture my attention entirely and no matter how much she wanted to look away another voice inside her just kept on persuading her to coutinue staring

She could not place her hand in it but she knew from the first moment she set her eyes on him, her inner thoughts went 'Damn, now that is a fine man' as even with all the clothes Jake was wearing she could see the great body he was hiding under the uniform

The way he speaks, the ways he smiles, she was completely stuck, he even turned towards her and winked and the most funny thing was she could do nothing but smile back, she was not even angry the tiniest bit

She tried understanding what was up with her but she couldn't comprehend what was going on

normally when someone winks at her, it riles her up, but when he did it, it just made her feel more he looked even more handsome when he smiled

Maria was practically acting like an high school girl who just got realised she was crushing on the handsome guy in school ,

and she was someone who always liked to keeping her cool luckily for her Brandon didn't seem to notice anything at all as the Jake finally took all there orders and left ending her staring time short

" so how is your dad doing Maria?" she heard Brandon's voice from beside her and was forced to stop staring at James back as she was brought back to reality

" ohh he is fine" Maria replied hastily, and Brandon kept on trying to make small conversations with her but he could feel the vibes was not really there

though Maria was not really into the conversations she still tried to answer him to the best of her ability

And Brandon never stopped complimenting her about a beauty that it made her doubt if he had read a love quote online cause his actions seems rigid

While he was still complimenting her she noticed the food was been Brought and when she raised my head to feast my eyes again on the handsome waiter she was flabbergasted to see another person there

She felt disappointed inside and turned her back to look for him but he was no where to be found

" hey were is that waiter who took our orders just now" Maria asked the new waiter who was not bad looking also but was a far cry from the first guy she saw and made her fantasize

" ohhh, he was called by the big boss so I had to fill in for him any problems?,"

" no!!, I was just curious when I didn't see him that why, so that would be all" Maria quickly replied the waiter as she didn't want Brandon having any type of thoughts

Not that she cared about him, she was more worried about her dad who he seems to be friends with

and the waiter was off on his way after replying , but the moment Maria turned back to Brandon she saw this kinda look on his face that really made her pissed but she decided to ignore it

" why would you be asking of that broke waiter?" he questioned Maria immediately the waiter walked off

" Is there anything wrong with me asking for him, am just surprised two different people answer served us " Maria replied making him less suspicious of her

" ohhh I see then, am sorry for my rash attitude, I thought you were related with that rude waiter or you know him, you have to see they way he had talked to me, that fu'king low life does not know what is good for him"

Maria sigh as she sat there and just watched him rant about the waiter, she find him to be actually cute complaining like a little boy ,

After he was through complaining he took a deep breath and faced Maria trying to touch her hands but she was quick to dodge that with skills

" Excuse me, I have something I would like to ask you" he asked and maria was sure the main reason he asked me out on a date was about to come out any moment from now

So she looked up from her food and gave him her full attention, as she didn't want to look rude while he was talking seriously to her

"Sure, what is it?" Maria questioned him almost immediately as she took a wipe And clean of her mouth ,

She realised he was having an hard time spilling the beans so she kinda gave him the push he might have needed

" Well, I know we haven't known each other for long, but I feel a connection between us, ever since the day I set my eyes on you, I could feel it with every fiber of my body that this is what I want, that's what Brought me to pass through the back door to get to you and it's because I want to ask you if you would consider marrying me"

Maria was shocked and suprise at the fast proposal that came out of nonwhere, yea they might have met alot of times but they never have never had any proper conversation,

all Maria knew was her father really wanted her to go on a date with him but being asked for my hand in marriage was on another level for her

" Marrying you?, Why?" Maria questioned

Her question seems to come as a shock to him, maybe he thought she was one of his girls that couldn't wait to jump into the bed with him because of his money but Maria was a lady who knew her worth and was not going to fall for that but he seems to wake up from his paused state

" Well, I've been tasked with running my family's business am sure you must have heard , and I'm an inexperienced heir. I'm looking for someone who can support me and give me advice on how to manage it, someone I can come home too that will understand me, You come from a rich family, so I thought we could help each other out "

His way of reasoning suprised Maria as she never even talked about her beauty so closely with any one before

" I see. And what about love?"

" Love? I don't know. I've never been in love before, I just know I find you highly attractive and you fit everything I find in a woman and I would highly appreciate it if you said yes" he said all this while looking down at his plate

And this brought a smirk to Maria's face

" Well, that's a charming proposal. Let me think about it." she replied as she got back to her meal

" Is that a yes or a no?" Brandon asked Maria with his voice sounding anxious

" Like I said, let me think about it. I'll let you know my answer."

" Okay, I understand, thank you for considering it."

" You're welcome." she replied closing the chapter of a proposal as she got back to my meal
