Sonja “Wake up Sonja,’ Alessia’ voice rang out in my head. A heavy scent of disinfectants along with the most intoxicating smell of fresh rain and pine invaded my nostrils. My eyes felt painted shut, and my body felt like a truck had hit it. Summoning every ounce of strength within me, I pried open my heavy eyelids. As my vision cleared, a symphony of tingles coursed through my palm. My gaze landed on a large hand enveloping my own. Nestled beside me on the bed, laid a head of brown hair. I tried to remove my hand, but the person’s hold tightened. The head that was beside me now raised as green eyes met mine. Alessia howled inside my head, “Mate!
