As I left Sonja’s room, I could feel my blood boiling in my veins. Why didn’t I tell her? She would have to know at some point, but I had messed up.
I never had a relationship and was apparently bad at it. I decided to wait until later and then approach Charles to ask for his advice. Since Sonja came into my life, I’ve been experiencing a whole new range of emotions I’d never felt.
As I ventured along the trail behind the pack house, the dense forest engulfed me. Charles met up with me as we came across the underground passage, its entrance adorned with concrete steps that descended beneath the surface. Stepping inside, we were greeted by two formidable warriors who bowed their heads respectfully as I passed by.
