I was the last student remaining in the classroom as everyone already left, packing my things into my bag as the bell signaled the end of the class. As I prepared to leave, I turned back and my heart skipped a beat when I noticed someone standing in the doorway.
He is leaning against the wall, his arms on the door frame, he was looking at me, waiting for me.
My heart raced, as if I were being chased, it pounded loud enough for me to feel uneasy and nervous, the cold air seemed to intensify the heat within me. Despite my desire to speak, to asks what is he doing, why is he at the door way, why is he looking and waiting for me, in the end, my breath was the only sound that escaped from my lips.
Swallowing my own saliva helps me suppressed my anxiety, I mustered the courage to stand up for myself.
“You do things slow.” He said, Mason embarked. He started walking towards me and every steps he take, the more beat my heart is pounding. I felt like I am being eaten alive, like every focus I have is stuck to him, that I could hear his steps, echoing in my ear. “And you are not very aware of it.” He stood before me. He is looking down at me, I am short, and he is a little bit tall compared to me. His blue eyes stays the same. His piercing blue eyes fixed on mine. I am still trying to understand why his eyes had glowed yellow the previous day, but his intense gaze captivated me.
I sigh.
I am aware that I am breathing fine, but I am feeling suffocated by his presence. The words "I'm your fated mate, Elena" echoed in my mind. I remembered his soft-deep voice from yesterday and the assurance that I was safe from the wolf-man.
“You shouldn’t stalk me.” A word finally escaped from my lips. “But I can’t help it.” he answered and slowly align his height to me. “Can you stop me?”
Those words, beat my heart faster than it should be. Never approach or even tangled yourself to the Alpha Three. Especially Mason Mones, he is the worst of them all, beast of the beast. I suddenly remember what Olivia adviced to me earlier. I should stay away from him. I have to remind myself that he is a psycho who claim me to be his mate! What does that even supposed to mean? He will mate me? What am I? An animal he could just mate with? I am a person! Not an animal!
I push him. I am not going to be a victim of his puppy blue eye.
“Who do you think I am? I do not know you, so you have no right to stalk me you freak! And you still owe me for leaving me out there in the dark! You could’ve guide me my way home, but instead, you blew a powder in my face that made me lost my consciousness!” I scolded him and kick his right leg that sent him to the ground. “Never get too close to me again! Or else I will call the cops! I don’t care how rich you are, but you are violating my human rights, Mason Mones!” I walked out of the classroom, still processing the fact that I had stood up to him. Despite Olivia's warning, I couldn't allow myself to be a victim. Kicking him may have consequences, but I cared more about asserting my boundaries. I don’t know what consequences I would get for kicking him, but I care much more the lecture that I can teach him. Stalking a woman like me, should never be right, especially to a rich guy like him that has privileged to get away from any consequences and crime.
I do not who Marissa is, but I am pretty sure, that Marissa fall for Mason’s trap, and now, she suffered a consequence because of it. And I will not make the same mistake as her. I would not fall for the Alpha Threes’ trap.
