We had been running for about ten minutes now, maybe more, until Sarah stopped and said, turning to me, "No one is following us, but maybe we could use some help."
I was still looking around in amazement; I didn't care much about what she was doing. Everything looks different here; I don't know how, but even the air looks different, and I feel my body, I don't know how to describe it, but it's lighter.
Sarah interrupted my meditation on the place around me and then said, "I don't know what to call you."
I looked at her stupidly; the trauma I'd been through had slowed my brain down. She smiled at me like she knew how I felt and said, "I mean, your name."
"Oh, Emily, Emily Winter," I said.
And she said, "Well, Emily Winter, don't freak out, but my bestie will show up any minute."
I immediately remembered Mia. Oh my God, I didn't even know what had happened to her.
"Listen, Sarah, I have to go back; do you know how to do that?" I asked her, and my mind felt as if I had just remembered my world, my real world. I remembered the fight that happened between me and my mother. They must be looking for me now. I looked at my feet to see that the device was still there, but it had stopped issuing those sounds as well as the light. It must be because I moved to this world. How did I come here in the first place?
Before Sarah could respond, there was a loud noise in the area, which was thankfully not an explosion but rather a girl screaming. Sarah put her hand on the crazy girl's mouth, stopping her from screaming, then said, "Damn Lydia, they will find us because of you."
She said excitedly, "Where is the human girl? I want to see her."
Why do I feel like a pet, They both turned to me, and I stood looking at them strangely, and Sarah said, trying to fix the situation, "Sorry Emily, Lydia is just too excited."
Lydia came up to me and extended her hand and said, "Hi, I'm Emily Edwards, the Witches' Princess."
I couldn't help but wonder why everyone here is so royal, and I exclaimed, "Princess of the Witches and Princess of the Sirens, you mean princess, princess!" Lydia nodded excitedly and said, "Yes, I will take over the crown one day."
Wow that's so unreal
"So, do you know how I can go back?" I asked, looking at both of them.
Sarah asked me, "Do you know who brought you here, or maybe why?"
I really don't know. Should I tell them that I was going to drown after I ran away from the house, and that something hidden was pulling me down, I thought I was dead a few minutes ago, and I don't think that idea has been denied, but I still have my doubts.
Lydia said, "Why were you moved here exactly? This place is not easy for anyone to enter."
"Why, what is this place?" I asked, surprised; it's just woods, I think.
Sarah said, "We are here in the royal area. This place is for royal families only."
Lydia asked excitedly, "Are you from any royal family?"
Confusion was running through my mind. "No, I don't know."
But Lydia suddenly stopped jumping excitedly and said, "Werewolves!"
"Guards!" Sarah said anxiously. Lydia rolled her eyes boredly and said out loud, "No, it's that loser beta and his minions."
Damn, I don't want to get involved with all of those, so I cried, "Guys, can we just focus here for a minute, please? I want to go back to my family; which one of you can do that for me?"
Three topless boys wearing only jeans interrupt our conversation. Thank goodness Mark is not with me; he would have taken them as his style idols for the rest of his life, I think; oh, my eyes!
But I have to admit, their athletic, hot bodies qualify them, and one of them, apparently the captain, said, "What do we have here, ohh, fresh meat?"
"Back off, loser," said Lydia hostilely. "She's under my protection."
Perhaps her defiant voice annoyed him, as his fangs and claws appeared, and I don't know, maybe his eyes changed colour as well, and he said angrily, "Beware Lydia, I can bite."
Sarah stood in the middle and said in a loud voice, "Enough, both of you." She turned to Lydia first and said, "We've got a bigger problem now, Lydia." Then she looked back at the wolf boy and said, "We obviously don't want you to be a part of it Tom, so go back to where you came from."
And as the atmosphere foreshadowed a heated discussion about to begin, I felt my breath starting to be pulled from me, and the world was spinning around me. What the f**k is going on?Lydia was closest to me, so I grabbed her arm as I struggled to catch my breath.
"Oh my God Sarah, Help," said Lydia, anxiously akin to screaming.
The world was spinning around me, and I didn't feel anything but Lydia and Sarah's hands grabbing me before I fell to the ground, and suddenly I woke up to see myself standing in the middle of the void, with literally nothing around me but the void. I started spinning around after all the sounds disappeared.
"Lydia, Sarah, is anyone here? Hey, Wolf Boy, guys!" Didn't I lose consciousness! What is happening to me.
While I was turning around, like a lost bee, a man in his forties approached me; he had a white tuft at the front of his hair. My eyes clung to him, and I could not take them away. He was looking at me calmly and comfortably, and he came forward from me, hands behind his back, and stood in front of me, saying, "Hello, my daughter."
