Eric’s sharp eyes were blocking everyone from seeing what was running inside his mind, especially Emily, who gulped silently as she was waiting for Eric to give any reaction, but he surprised everyone when he said, "Okay, as you wish."
Then he looked at the witches’ queen and bowed and said, "Pardon me, but I must go to lead the training, and that can’t wait, so "
Then he turned and left, not waiting for any to respond; he was already pissed enough, while all the eyes in the room shifted upon Emily, who shrugged and said, "What "
Celestia sighed; she was about to have a good conversation with Emily, but her sister’s words rang in her head like a warning, so with another sigh, she said, "Go back to your class, Emily; you can’t waste your first day; we will take about all of that later."
Emily was a bit mad, and she couldn’t control her tone when she said, "And how the hell am I supposed to go back now, he literally dragged me over here."
Celestia slapped her forehead mentally when she heard Emily cursing; it was clear as the sun that Emily hadn’t gotten the royal part yet.
Then the headmaster stepped into the convo and said, while pressing a button beside his desk, "Never mind, our Stella will lead you there."
Not a second passed, and a soft knock was heard through the room. Then a beautiful young lady entered the room with a very pretty smile on her face, and after the head master gave her the order, she turned to Emily with a wide grin. Emily couldn’t help but turn it back, and that was particularly not a very common thing with Emily, as she always was suspicious of people she didn’t know.
And despite Emily was very mad at Eric and the whole situation, she couldn’t take her eyes off of Stella’s hair on their way back. It was too beautiful, which made Emily wonder how her tail looked like, as Emily now knows that this distinguished beauty was something related to the Sirens, so she knew that Stella is whit no doubt a siren.
They arrived in front of a very tall brown door; it gave a weird vibe to the white hallway, but Emily didn’t think about that much as Stella’s voice, which was as pretty as her face, caught her attention when she said, "Here you go, this is your door; see you again, Luna."
"It’s Emily," Emily corrected, as she thought Stella missed her name, but instead she got a small giggle from Stella before she left.
Emily frowned at her, but as fast as it appeared, she shifted her attention to the door and knocked on it. She then took a deep breath when she heard a male voice allowing her in and slowly approached the door handle. Then she opened it, stepped in, and totally froze in her spot.
At first, when Emily heard a word ‘class’ she imagined one with desks and stuff like her old school, but know with her eyes wide open and her mouth talking an ‘O’ shape, she was completely on the wrong side, it was a great hall, with chairs and desks every here and there, and there were big cabins on the back, with things flying across the room along with laughs and small chitchat, Emily immediately remembered the harry potter movies, and she was on the cloud nine that she could experience something like that herself, forgetting all about her real word, family, friends, and above all of that Eric’s whole mate thing. Emily just mumbled with a small smile "Magic."
Emily Jumped in panic and placed her hand on her heart when a voice spoke literally behind her ears, saying, "You’re late."
Emily looked behind her to see a man. Or she should say a young man; she couldn’t tell; he was very handsome, except for a few grey locks that were like a moon in his black land-like hair. Emily even thought that he could be one of her classmates because the males in this school are more muscular, and that is not what her schoolmates back in the real world look like.
Emily blinked a few times as she remained in her panicked state, and that young man added as he put his hands behind his back and said, " Maclean, Peter Maclean, your white magic teacher, Miss Winter, as for this being your First day, and I heard the news, congrats for your mate by the way, I will have a blind eye for this time, so you may have a seat and let’s start our first class, shall we?"
Emily blinked again as she was trying to comprehend what he said, and then she said, "Um, yes sir."
But before she could even move, he transformed into an old man with white hair and a beard, which almost made Emily’s heart stop beating. He laughed amusedly at the look in her face, then said, "I got you."
Followed by the rest of the class laughing and Lydia's voice, who said, "God, you should’ve seen your face."
Emily huffed, all the mad emotions running back to her, and then she said, "That wasn’t funny."
After a while, they sat quietly, and then Mr. Maclean said, "Alright, little miss, have a seat."
Emily rolled her eyes as she followed Lydia, who was trying to push her laughs back in as they sat in Lydia’s spot. Emily saw her bag beside her seat, and then she turned and gave Lydia a death glare to stop.
Mr. Maclean stood in the middle of the hall in his true form as an old Man and started introducing himself to them, as this was his first year as a teacher of white magic. He was giving some meaningful looks to Emily every now and then, but Emily was like a lost puppy in a big arcade; she hardly could catch a word or two out of all the magic studying; she couldn’t even read the book.
Besides, there were tonnes of eyes on Emily that made her more uncomfortable, and she sighed deeply as she remembered Mark and Mia; they were like her Guardians. It's not like Emily needed protection, but right now she felt weak and venerable; she hated the spotlight, so Mark was always making weird moves or sounds to draw all the attention to him. As for Mia, she was like an idol by nature; all eyes were already on her. She missed them so freaking much.
Emily was pulled out of her thoughts by a bunch of flying papers, while Mr. Maclean explained that it was their first assignment, and all of them kept whining except for Emily, who didn’t get any, but she was astonished by the action, so she said unconsciously, "Cool, it’s like Hogwarts."
Then a curious voice from behind asked, "Hogwarts, what does that even mean?"
Emily turned to the Voice owner, Rebecca, one of Lydia’s gang; she was now putting all her attention on Emily, along with Lydia and the others who were waiting for Emily to spill the tea. Emily didn’t know what to say; she paused a little, then said, while she was randomly moving her hands as a habit when she felt nervous, "Oh, it’s a famous movie series, about magic and dark sides and stuff like that; the place here is reminding me of it."
Another blonde one, Victoria, couldn’t get what Emily said, so she asked" what a ‘movie’ mean, is it like the memory flash, do you even have magic in the human land"
Emily was about to laugh; she felt so stupid but in a funny way, but they were interrupted by Mr. Maclean knocking on his own desk, drawing all the attention back to him as he started the other half of the class by starting to practise the new spells they learned. As for Lydia, it was like a piece of cake; she was the princess, so she was playing the role easily. As for Emily, she failed miserably, as she mumbled inside her head, "s**t, like I travelled back to the Empire era."
After a few failing tries, Mr. Maclean finally said, " Miss Winter, it seemed like you’re having a hard time, and that's totally okay, as for everything being new to you, so we’re done for today, and we will talk about your own training after the school day."
As for some habits that never die, Emily gave him a salute as she used to do with her teachers in her old school as she said, " Sir, yes, sir."
It seemed like her spontaneous move made a good impression on both her teacher and schoolmates. Mr. Maclean smiled at her as he headed out, while Lydia, her gang, and other people started imitating Emily’s move, and she couldn’t help but smile, Not having any clue about the fiery eyes staring at her back.
