Gabriella's POV After finishing changing into my uniform, I went to the kitchen like always but Daniel was not there. “Cereal?” Matt the other chef was the one asking. “Just coffee please, Where's Daniel?” I enquired “he took a day off; his mother has cancer so they are going for her chemotherapy today. How many sugars?” “Two, please. Sad! I didn't know, I will call him later today.” I said getting the mug from him. I finished having my coffee and went to the counter I started to go through the cash box ensuring all is in order. I saw Megan coming in like she had not slept for days. “Good morning Hun why do you look like that?” I asked her. “Didn't have a great night Little Logan had a very high fever so took him to the ER.” “Oh, shame! How is he doing now? “ “His much better. Just need some strong coffee. Hopefully, Daniel will work out his magic” she said “Oh, you didn’t hear? Daniels mother has cancer so his off today.” I said “What? Maybe that's why he called me last night.” “And you ignored him like always,” I said to her “I didn't ignore him I was just busy helping with Logan. Let me call him back she said going to our lockers” I followed her behind. She quickly dialled his number and waited for him to pick up. “Hi, I heard about your mother am sorry,” she said “I know I saw your calls but Logan had a fever so was at the ER with his mum” “Sending our prayers, she gets better soon”. She said cutting the call How is he? I asked His doing fine “That’s great,” I said walking out, Saturdays were always busy with customers and I had no chance to have my lunch, I just “What’s for tonight” A text popped up on my phone “Working at Sanchez’s store and you?” I replied with a smile on my face. “I am meeting up some friends for a few drinks, won’t be able to pick you up” he replied “Great! Enjoy” I sent the text with smiley’s time It seems like time was moving so fast. It was past 6 pm but I had to work a bit late cause of all the customers we had. “I will not be coming today still have to work here,” I said sending a text to Mrs Sanchez We closed the restaurant and were ready to go home, “Hey! We are going out want to come? We are going to the Times Cafe” Maria offered “She will say no that I know for sure!” Megan shouted as she went on walking, “C’mon you need to live; all the drinks are all me,” Maria said “Fine I will come with you but am buying my own drinks,” I said smiling, “Yes! She shouted, “These girls got nothing on us,” she said laughing, “She needs to come out of those clothes,” Meagan said What’s wrong with my clothes” I asked her looking at myself “Everything no club will agree to let you looking like that” “My clothes are fine if not then I might as well as go back,” I said to her “Your clothes are fine sweetie, just change the clothes and get this blazer,” Maria said handing me her black blazer and spare shoes from her bag. I sat down on some pavement, removing my shoes and wearing the heels. “You need to let loose your hair and apply some makeup,” Maria said and I did everything she said to me. I applied red lipstick and let my long hair fall freely, “Now that’s some hot chick” she commented and we laughed at the comment, we stopped the cab and got on. ****** I was so busy looking at the financial reports that I almost forgot my date with Kylie at Hussar restaurant, I looked at the time and I still had some time to drive there, I picked up my phone going to my contacts to call her. “Hello” she picked up after trying her phone for the second time, “Hello, it’s Michael. What time should I pick you up?” I asked her, “Oh! Hi Mr Sanders! I didn’t know you planned on picking me up>, I believe 8:30 pm is fine” She replied, “Great! I will be there” I answered cutting the call and going back to work when it was 7 pm I packed everything and looked the office to go and pick up Kylie and the Hotel she was staying. When I reached, I went to the reception “I am here to see Miss Wales” The receptionist picked up the phone to call her room luckily, “she will be coming down shortly.” The lady answered I waited in the lounge for almost an hour before she finally showed up where I was sitting “Good evening Mr Sanders hopefully I didn't keep you waiting for a long time” she came come in peach sleeveless turtle neck dress which complimented her figure. “Of course not I don't mind waiting,” I said remembering mum's words if this date fails am finding a woman that you will only meet on your wedding day. “We can go now,” she said and I gesture my hand leading the way. We got in the car and she just focused on her phone “Have you been here before?” I asked her and she shifted her attention. “Yes I have, I lived here till four years ago when I moved to Manchester,” she said. “Oh really? You must really know the place well, any places you liked?” I asked her “Oh yes! I loved going to times café, is it still there?” she asked me “Yes, it is! Though never been there” I said to her “How about we have a few drinks there? Rather than the restaurant”, she said. “Of course that sounds great!” I replied “Perfect!” she said sounding excited, I took the next U-turn I could find. Maybe it was not such a bad idea meeting her here
