Chapter Eight : My brokenheart

Gabriella's POV

We reached by the club and entered the lounge, we went to a table that Jeff Maria's boyfriend had reserved for us.

“Hey baby,” she said greeting him with a kiss,

“These are my friends Megan and Gabriela” she shouted to him and he brought out his hand to greet us, a waitress came to our table to take our orders. “Please can I just have a cocktail non-alcoholic” I shouted

“Oh, where's the fun in that? Please bring us son tequila” Maria said, the waitress came minutes later with our drinks, I started feeling tipsy and decided to join Megan on the dance floor, I danced to the words of 'let me love you by DJ snake. “Thank you for bringing me here,” I said to Megan as she laughed at my words.

“I need to go to the ladies where is it?” I asked her and she showed me the way, I quickly went grabbing my bag from our table and walked to the ladies I bumped into a couple who I think they were leaving and were trying to find a way out as it was past midnight now I bowed my head down

“Please forgive me,” I said walking past them. After emptying my bladder I want to the mirror and looked into the mirror admiring myself. Guess I can also look beautiful, I walked out and wanted to find my way to our table but ended up at another table, I looked to confirm if it was the right one but I came face to face with Nick kissing some lady.

“Nick?” I shouted and he looked at me, he realized it was me. At that moment all the tequila I took left my mind and become sober.

“Gabby! What are you doing here?” he asked me, he pushed her leg from his lap

“No, please tell me am dreaming!” I said as tears fell from my eyes.

I turned around and start making my way out through the crowds

Gabby! He shouted behind me.

I managed to get through the crowds and was now outside it didn't matter as long as I was out of that place and far from this place. My phone kept on ringing none stop. I started walking in the sidewalk until I could not walk any further I needed to find a Taxi, luckily, I saw one coming as soon as it stopped I opened the door and got in. “ 3261 7th street Boulevard east,” I said closing my eyes recalling all that I saw back there. I just began to sob loudly.

“Hey lady this is not a Taxi!” the man's voice came, but I cried even more.

“Hi, I think we should take her home” lady’s voice come talking to the gentleman.

“Please forgive me, I thought it was a cab,” I said trying to get out of the car

“Hey, sweetie! Don't worry we can take you home” The woman said,

“Thank you!” I said dropping my head.

I closed my eyes years pouring, I remembered all the time people told me not to trust him.

The car came to a stop I believed I was home, I got down from the car and began to walk to the door of our house but not before I thanked them for the lift, I opened the door to the house and went upstairs to my room. I just threw myself on the bed and slept there.

I woke up in the morning to the sound of my phone ringing, “Hello,” I answered without checking the caller.

“Hey, I was worried about you, what happened to you? You just left without saying anything” Megan shouted through the phone, I remembered what happened but decided not to mention it.

“It's complicated, I will talk to you guys later,” I said cutting the call.

“What's wrong? Did she say why she left?” Maria asked Megan at the other end of the call after Gabriella had cut

“Something is wrong with her. I could hear from her voice but she won't say what it is” Megan replied

“Let's wait for her to talk to us,” Maria said and Megan just nodded her head.

I sat up looking at my phone it was past 7 am, I found countless texts and calls from Nick without reading them I just deleted and switch off my phone.

I got my pillow and covered my head before I could even sleep mum walked in. “Is everything okay?” she asked me,

“Am fine, I just need to rest” I replied,

“I can something is wrong with you so don’t lie to me,” Mother said and I began to cry

“Please tell me what's wrong. Maybe I can help” she continued sitting on the bed and gently patting my back

I removed the pillow from my head and just ran into her arms crying, she held me close assuring me whatever it is that was bothering me would soon pass.

“He lied to me, mother, he was with another girl. He cheated on me” I said crying even harder

“Shush…. It's alright my darling, if he decided to cheat on you then he didn't realize the good thing he lost” she said but I was just crying

“What's wrong with me?” I asked her

“Nothing is wrong with you. You're all that a man could wish for, if he didn't see that then it's his loss” she said assuring me, I broke off the hug and wiped my tears

“Why don't you take a shower and come down for some coffee” she continued and I simply nodded my head, she quickly stood up and left

I dragged myself out of bed, took off my clothes, wrapped a towel around me and went to take a shower.

After I finished I pulled out a dress and went downstairs, I found Emily and Sarah were already on the table having their breakfasts. I quickly grabbed a chair and sat down.

“Are you okay?” Sarah asked I knew mum had said something I looked at her and she inaudible said “She wanted to know why you were crying” I just nodded my head. “Am fine thanks for asking?” I said as I got my bowl of All-bran flakes.

We heard a doorbell ring and mum went to check who it was. “Morning Nick,” she said as she opened the door to see who it was

“Can I please talk to Gabby?” he asked her, mum talked to the table and I shook my head.

“Am sorry sweetheart, Gabby doesn't want to see you” she answered

I saw her closing the door and I assumed she had left,

“Is everything okay between you two?” Emily asked after some time of not talking. Mum looked at me and the girls,

“Yes, just need to take some time apart for now,” I said standing up to leave,

“I figured you would say that. Anyway, if that jerk cheated on you, he sure doesn't deserve you” she got her bowl standing up and left. I stood there without knowing what to do next.
