Michael's POV
We stood outside the club and it seemed like there was no getting inside, I looked at the crowd there I thought to myself why did I even bother coming here?
“Let's go,” Kylie said and they let us through without even checking our Id's
“In case you're wondering the club belongs to a close friend's father so they know me” She shouted as we made our way to the VIP lounge, we were welcomed by the manager and given where to sit.
“Mr Sanders it's such an honour to have to host you here,” the manager said almost bowing down
“Thank you! What would you like to have?” I asked Kylie but she seemed undecided. “I will have what you can decide”
“Please can I have your finest whisky on the rocks, and the lady please bring her your sidecar cocktail” I replied and I saw them leave, it seemed like she told them that I would be coming seeing how the manger was already there to welcome us.
“Seems like an interesting place to be,” I said but she was busy on her phone resting,
Let me enjoy this whiskey so that I can pretend to be fine with her attitude. Every now and then she would stand up to dance to different songs, “Do you want to dance?” she asked me,
“No, I am fine,” I said.
She received a text on her phone, I looked at it and it was a man informing her that he would wait for her at the hotel, she came back so excited. “You are missing out on a lot!” I merely smiled at that,
“We should go now! I have a meeting tomorrow” I said to her
“But tomorrow is Sunday,” She said with a frown,
“I know but that’s how it is,” I said standing up to leave, handing her the phone and purse.
We tried to go out and I ended up bumping into a drank lady, no wonder I have not been to such places for years. I don’t know why I even agreed to bring myself down to this level. I left the club in a hurry and Kylie followed in suite. We got in the car and drove away going home,
“Please stopover at the next layby, I feel like throwing up,” She said and I quickly pulled over after a few meters, I unlocked the doors and another lady who seemed to be crying got in the backseat.
I shouted telling her it was not a cable but the lady just went on crying after giving me her home address, Kylie asked that we just drop her off. I shrugged my shoulders thinking of what might happen when I dropped her off, she didn’t pay and left.
“Shame poor girl! She must be going through a lot” she said, I opted to keep quiet.
“Are you feeling much better now?” I asked her, and she nodded her head looking outside as she leaned her head back.
I drove for minutes without her saying a word, I reached the Hotel and woke her up.
“Hey! We are here.” I said and she came out of her supposed nap, she just kept nodding her head, it was like she wanted to say something but I didn’t give her any chance and went around to open the door for her.
I took off my jacket and wanted to give her to put on top but she suggested against it
“I will see you I guess,” she said waiting for me to leave, “I can walk you up to your room if you don’t mind,” I said but she insisted that she was fine going alone.
I stood there as she went into the hotel and I went back to my car driving off.
********
I woke up the next day feeling like my head was pounding, luckily it was Sunday. I did my daily routine and went to have my breakfast, I remembered that I didn’t come in with my phone.
Shit! Am sure I have countless messages from mum asking about my date with Kylie I thought to myself, I went to the carport to get it. I checked the front seat then remembered I must have put it in my jacket, I opened the backdoor, grabbing my jacket but I noticed there was a purse so I pulled the handle to check what it had inside.
I opened the bag checking the contents, I have ID’s for a lady Gabriela Brooks where did I hear the name? Oh yes! I remember the girlfriend of the man whose car I hit two nights ago. I got my phone and checked the number but I forgot that I had forgotten to save the number. I walked back inside while going through everything, I had my breakfast and left the bag on the table with a note for my maid. “have this bag delivered to this address” I wrote and walked out.

Gabriela’s POV
I stayed in bed the whole day Sunday without doing anything, I just needed to be alone. When it was dinner time, I went downstairs for me to join everyone. “How did my bag get here?” I asked looking at it on the couch.
“A lady brought it for you, she said you left it in her boss’s car but didn’t want to disturb you! So, I let her go” Mum said,
Oh! I said I joined everyone on the table we were custom to all of us eating together, I received a text on my phone.
“I am outside! Please see me for a few minutes” it read and I just ignored it, everyone was quiet without saying anything after 30 minutes I picked up my plate putting it in my sink and going to my room
“Don’t you think you should at least listen to what he has to say?” Mum said coming up and in my room. I shook my head and tears began again to pour down my face but I wiped them away. “He's been here for hours and you have ignored him, for you to heal you need to at least listen to what his reasons were,” My mum said and left my room.
