Those were the last words Hazel had heard before giving in to exhaustion and drain. Those same words were the only ones that registered in her mind as she came to in the morning. Lenora more than liked her. Lenora adored her. The declaration, though whispered faintly as she clung onto Lenora, had been loud enough. It had slipped into her ears, sunk into her bones and saturated into her blood. Lenora had admitted them to her.
Hazel stirred from her sleep, a radiant smile swathed on her face as she recalled the previous night’s dark encounter with Lenora. The vampire’s touch had opened Hazel’s mind and eyes to a world she never thought to exist.
