The White Wolf and Her Lycan King

Chapter 2

Six hours flew by, and before I knew it, I was driving on to the Lycan pack lands. Dawn had broken, but the sun hadn't come above the trees that were either side of the road.

Suddenly, I slammed on my breaks and my car came to a stop, as three huge Lycans blocked the road. It still amazed me at the size difference in Lycans. Lycans were like the next evolutionary stage for werewolves. They were bigger, stronger, faster and harder to kill, because they healed faster. One Lycan with dark brown fur shifted back into human form. He was naked, so I kept my eyes fixed on his face. He approached the car, and I rolled my window down.

"State your business here," he growled.

"I am Violet Dean. I am here to stay with my aunt and uncle. Zara and Finn. They notified King Robert that I was coming here," I replied, with a smirk on my face.

I knew he would try to intimidate me, but I was not bothered. His eyes glazed over, so he was mindlinking someone.

"Yes, go through. King Robert is expecting you at the palace. Zara and Finn are waiting for you there," he said before waving his hands at the other two, and they got out of the way straight away.

I nodded and kept on driving down the road. Soon enough, I was at the palace. Zara and Finn were outside waiting for me. Zara had been crying. I could tell. I parked the car, and jumped out of the car. I rushed straight into Zara's arms, it was at that moment that the tears came flooding for us both. Finn wrapped his arms around us both and gently placed a kiss on each of our foreheads.

King Robert came out of the entrance to the palace, his eyes were fixed on me, like he was in complete shock. Last time I was here he was only a Prince. He walked down the steps and approached us.

"We should go inside. We will talk in my office," King Robert stated.

We all nodded in agreement. I grabbed my handbag and locked my car, before going with them indoors. We walked through this incredibly extravagant palace, well, packhouse, but because of the size of the Lycan pack they needed a palace. We arrived at Robert's office. Finn shut the door behind us. I saw Robert's eyes glaze over, he was mindlinking someone, then I noticed Zara and Finn mindlinking too. Were they mindlinking to each other?

"You need to tell us everything. You can tell King Robert the full truth, you don't have to keep that a secret," Zara put a lot of emphasis on 'that'.

I knew straight away what she was referring to. So, I had to do it.

"Well, King Robert, there is a lot you don't know about me. Something which I had to keep a secret since I was nine years old. When I was nine, I first shifted in front of my parents at home. My wolf, Snow, is a white wolf. After I shifted, my parents kept me home, choosing to home school me and prevent me from shifting in front of anyone. They trained me in their basement, as I was missing out on the training at the pack school," I took a deep breath, King Robert was listening intently, so I continued, "Over the years, my parents kept me hidden from most of pack life. Rumours began to spread. Alpha James got it into his head that they were training me to kill him and take over the pack, which wasn't the case. My parents knew some of the history of the white wolves and knew that many were killed before they had a chance to really live. So, they choose to shelter me to protect me."

I wiped the tears trickling down my face. King Robert pulled out his handkerchief and handed it to me. I smiled and used it to dry my tears. His scent on the handkerchief calmed me down enough to continue.

"Being a white wolf, I developed powers. When I focus, I can eavesdrop on mindlinking conversations and I managed to eavesdrop on Alpha James' conversation with his Beta. They were discussing locking me up and forcing me to mate with his son," King Robert let out a low growl, as I said that. I paused before continuing, "My parents knew it was a matter of time before he came to get rid of them. Yesterday, I returned from shopping to find my parents being taken away by Beta Jones. Dad used the code word, so I knew I had to pack up and leave. Just as I finished packing, I had a vision of my parents' last moments. I watched as Alpha James snapped their necks. He killed them."

I began sobbing. Zara wrapped her arms around me, while King Robert moved around his desk and began rubbing circles on my back. His touch sent tingles up and down my spine. He relaxed me. Snow stirred in my mind, "That is our mate's touch. The one rubbing circles on our backs."

"What?! You think King Robert is our mate," I asked her, in my mind.

"That is his touch, but until you are eighteen, we will not know for sure," Snow replied.

"Violet, you will stay with us permanently. I will have to make you part of this pack. You will have to swear allegiance to me and this pack. We will protect you here, keep you safe. Finn, Zara, if you could both wait outside," King Robert told us.

Finn and Zara both nodded and got up and left the room, leaving me alone with Robert. I could feel Robert's eyes on me, before he continued, "Violet, you have truly become more beautiful since the last time I saw you. And, I am really sorry for your loss. What Alpha James has done is wrong. I will not allow him to harm you anymore. Now, to swear your allegiance, you will have to drink some of my blood and say an oath. Then, once we are done, we can talk about your schooling."

"Thank you, King Robert."

He offered me his hand, which I took, and he sat down in a chair and pulled me on to his lap. He allowed his Lycan claws to come out on one hand and he cut his wrist gently. He looked at me and nodded. I placed my mouth over the wound on his wrist. The warm blood trickled into my mouth. He pulled his wrist away, the wound healed instantly. I swallowed a mouthful of his blood.

"I, Violet Dean, swear my loyalty to King Robert and the Lycan pack. I will serve in whatever way I can. I will fight to defend the pack and its land. I swear this on my honour and life," I pledged my oath to Robert.

Within moments of finishing, all the mindlinking and connections I felt in my mind from the Blue Moon pack were severed. It was painful, but the pain disappeared when the connections were made to the Lycan pack. Robert smiled, "I have never seen any wolf withstand the pain of transferring packs without collapsing to the floor in a heap. You truly are special. I look forward to learning more about you being a White Wolf. Don't worry, I will keep you being a white wolf a secret. You also don't need to be so formal, Robert is just fine. Now, let's talk about school."

"Okay Robert, I want to finish school. I have a month left. My eighteenth birthday is the day after tomorrow," I yammered away.

Robert reached over to his desk and grabbed his laptop. He was huge, atleast 6ft 8inches tall. I was rather short compared to him at 5ft 6inches. With me on his lap, he was still able to reach across his desk for his laptop. He made a quick effort at getting the Lycan school system up and the entry information.

"Fill in all your information and choose what subjects you want to take," he smiled, before falling silent and watching my every move.

It was rather nice sitting on his lap while I filled in the forms. He kept rubbing circles on my back, which truly felt amazing. In the time since I last saw him, his handsome features had only grown more defined and handsome. His entire body looked like it was chisled from marble. His muscles were excessively well defined and clearly rock solid. His brown eyes were all the more alluring and his black hair was beautifully styled. His scent, though his scent was natural, smelt like apple trees and a cascading waterfall.

Choosing my subjects was easy. I choose maths, English, science, history, and art. Gym class was compulsory.

"Do I have to do gym class in wolf form? Because it could be dangerous for me if anyone sees me in wolf form, while I am unmated and unmarked," I explained, looking into Robert's eyes.

"No, Finn runs gym class, so he will make sure you do not fight in wolf form until after you have found your mate," Robert assured me.

"I have finished."

"Alright, go with Zara and Finn, unpack and get some rest. I will send someone around to you with your school books later on today. One more thing, Violet, I have wanted to do this for years," he leaned over to me and planted his lips upon mine.

As soon as our lips touched, the fireworks exploded. It was magical. Our lips moved in perfect sync, even after he pushed his tongue into my mouth, deepening the kiss. I really don't know how long we were kissing for because everything really slowed down. It was like he and I were made for each other. Could it be possible that he is actually my mate?

We finally pulled away from one another, completely breathless. Robert smiled, "Zara, needs you. Go be with your family. If I can, I will stop by later today to see how you are, I promise."

I nodded and stood up from sitting on his lap, grabbing my bag. I made my way to the door. I looked back at him and he had been watching me the whole time. I smiled at him, "I will see you soon, Robert."

I opened the door and waved goodbye, as he waved back .
