(Narrator) As Alexander and Elizabeth were really giving each other a chance, they had no idea what was soon coming, Jason wasn't happy with just taking the The Alpha of Alpha position from Alexander, he hated being under the humans control and now was his chance to strike and make it clear his people weren't tame puppy dogs, but monsters to be feared"Hello, congress men." The man was behind his desk preparing for the next day.

"Jason, hello, what are you doing here so late?" Jason closed the door to the office and locked it behind him, the congress man noticed what he did. And moved for the gun in his desk, with silver bullets"You are dead before you even touch that gun, Congress man."

"If you don't want us to exterminate you like the animals you are, you better walk out of here!" Before the man could regret what he said Jason, was behind him and grabbed him by the throat, lifting him up in the air.

"We'll just have to see who wins that fight, and I'm willing to bet it's not going to be you."

"You..you.." Jason twisted the congress man's head, breaking his neck, and dropping him to the ground.

"May the games begin." Jason spat on the congress man as he walked out of the office. War had just been declared.

(Liz's POV) The next few days Alex helped me to phase and oh, boy did it hurt, at first I just froze between wolf and human, Alex helped me go back to human, the second try I did it. I was a mess too exhausted to turn back for the day, he and I spent the whole day as wolves, the kids loved it we gave them rides on our backs for a little while, until my wolf growled at Eden pulling my tail. I reprimanded my wolf for scaring her, both Alex and I went outside and ran for a while. He taught me to hunt, how to track, and how to use my strength. I could tell my wolf wasn't afraid of blood or how people say to get down and dirty. What worried me about that was how much she enjoyed it, Alex explained that that's at first our wolves slowly start getting a better idea as time goes by. I also learned that Alex was really hiding a lot of what his power was, I mean he's handsome, smart, and a great leader. that in itself is okay but for a werewolves you needed a little more. There was a point when my wolf was really pushing it and even I couldn't get her under control, he asked her give me back control, she didn't listen, and he tackled her, along with a punch of power, this feeling like my body was being forced to obey, I slowly laid down and exposed my underbelly to him, and stayed like that until he allowed me to. It was the strangest feeling in the world.

Early the next morning he helped me phase back, I was so sore, I soaked in the tub with nice hot water. After I went down and apologized to Eden for my wolf and she just giggled and asked when she could come and play again. These past few days, I've grown so attached to these two, but my wolf had other ideas, she didn't like them because they didn't come from us, I told her to grow up and not to take it out on them they were just kids. After that she tried to get to know them, and told me actually was impressed by how smart these two were. Apart from that, Alex and I would often walk around the village, to check how things were going. We were organizing new traditions and new ideas, for the younger wolves, and some things they could work on together. We were really trying to bring our village together, until one day I was surprised by someone.

"Beth?" I asked shocked. She came and gave me a big hug.

"Hey, girl, how are you?" "I'm good,um...not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?"

"you haven't seen the news?"

"No, why?" We walked inside and turned on the TV, every news channel was running the story. Congress men and women and their families were being killed off, by a super natural being. Until it figured out all supernatural staff of any job was to be put on leave or fired to until further notice.

I looked at Alex who had walked in just as the story was running, he looked angry.

"Who could be doing this?" Right at my question Jon ran in.

"Boss, someone is here to see you!"

I looked at him and he nodded I followed him outside, as did Jon.

Once outside there was a black SUV standing a ways in front of the house, and a man and a woman, stepped out, along with some body guards with guns out. My wolf peeked out and Jon was on guard too, soon Ben and Marsha came out to join us.

"There's no need for weapons here." said Alex to the man and woman.

"Tell that to the others..."

"That's enough, we are safe with Alexander, if he says no harm will come to us no harm will come to  us."

The guards lowered their guns but followed anyway, it looked like the woman was really ticked off about something and the man was just shaken. They stood in front of the house, and the woman looked at me for a second.

"What brings you here?" asked Alex with mock innocence.

The woman's eyes then focused on him, and she looked angry.

"You're kind, have been killing off our colleges, and their families!"

Alex looked right back at her.

"Let's talk in my office."

They followed and so did I and Ben, the body guards tried to stop me.

"Touch me and I'll break you arm off!" I said to the one guard.

"Not just anyone can be in here listening to government discussions!" said the woman, but the man too took notice of me and looked right at me.

"She is my mate and she can listen in on this, if things get as bad as I think they are she'll need to be briefed." said Alex and the guard walked aside letting me in, the two congress officials just stared, until the man got to his feet.

"I'm sorry but have I seen you some where before?"

"Not, that I'm aware of congress man."

"What's your name girl?" asked the woman. Before I could speak my name, Alex did it for me.

"May I preasent my mate, and Dr. Omar Gutierrez only daughter."

They froze, like that had been news to them, I guess my father was well known, even to the humans.

"Dr.Gutierrez was your father?"

"Yes, ma'am."

That seemed to change their whole idea of me, they were more respectful, and spoke to me.

"The first we found was," they said a name I didn't know who it was," he had been working on a speech that night."

"Who do you think this could be?" I asked.

"Jason Jones, the new werewolf they replaced Alexander with."

"Oh, shut your mouth Bret!"

"You wanted a younger werewolf thinking he'd be easier to control, I was against it and made you aware of the consequences nobody listened!"

The woman went red from anger and embarrassment.

"So what do you want from me?"

"Alexander we would like to sit here on our high horse and say we don't need the help, but before we can even move half of our army will be killed, we need your help, to bring this enemy down!"

"No, you don't need our help, you want us to do the whole job!" I said.

"More or less, yes." said the woman.

I looked at Alex we were thinking the same thing, but I couldn't make him turn these people away or else a lot of innocent people could die, I sighed and sat back.

"How many?"

They were surprised by the fact we accepted.

"We've seen at least a hundred rouges."

Alex nodded and got to his feet.

"Make an announcement, to get them to us, in three days, we'll deal with them, in exchange, I want to be free of the government, we can patrol our own, and if you wish to put a shoot to kill only to the those that want to attack then by all means, but I don't answer to you or anyone, after this."

They weren't happy with the demand but it was that or they had to deal with the problem. So they too got to their feet and shook hands with Alex.

"It will be done."

"You have today to put that in writing, and signed Ma'am or you can deal with the problem yourselves."

She went pale, I guess she didn't think to play fair, but Alex knew her that well. They shook hands and excused themselves. They left and we sat on the porch making sure they got out okay.

"I have a few phone calls to make, Jon show Elizabeth the tunnels."

"Sure boss, let's go Liz." before I could excuse myself with Beth, I was pulled away, the kids were playing with their cousins, so they were fine, but we walked into the old pack house, down to the basement.

"Why, do I feel like the beginning of a horror movie is going to start?"

"Because it is, come on."

We walked a ways in and found three tunnels, he explained.

"All three head out, but this one," he point to the one on our right," heads a little closer to the city, and these two out to the forest, one to a cave and the other to a dug out hiding area."

"Okay let's go check them and make sure things are still good."

"Sure, let's go."

As we walked I couldn't help, feel how nervous he was.

"Hey you okay?"

"Huh, oh, yeah, war, rouges nothing weird about that."

"Okay then why are you so nervous?"

He sighed and we stopped.

"Who was the chick at the house?"

"You mean, Beth?"

"Yeah."

"She's my best friend growing up why?"

"What is she?"

"She's a doctor," he sighed in relief," and she's a witch why?"

"She's a witch?!" he said in anger.

"Yes, why Jon?!"

"s**t, can't I get a freakin break!?" he murmured more to himself then to me. I grabbed his arm.

"What is going on, sense when did you become so racist?"

He groaned with frustration, not looking at me.

"I think Beth is my mate."

I froze, a witch and a werewolf now that was interesting.

"Did you talk to her?"

"Kinda, I felt the pull, but honestly why couldn't she be a wolf?"

"Why, Jon, why does it matter?"

"She's a witch, Liz, witches are ...they're."

"What evil, all black magic, what?"

"It's not the same as a wolf mate, Liz it's nowhere close to the same."

"You think she'll leave or something?"

"My mom was a white witch, my dad a wolf they loved each other a lot, but they came and killed her, Liz, f*****g black witches just came and killed her, she wasn't strong enough to fight them off, it destroyed my dad to lose her."

"I'm sorry Jon, so you're magic too?"

"Yeah, but I've never practiced it, or even checked if I have any kind of power."

"Well, maybe Beth can help you unlock that, that and maybe something else." I teased, he laughed, but he was still lost in thought.

"Come on before the boss freaks out."

We continued the way and checked two tunnels, when Alex mind linked us both and asked where we were?

"Just on the last tunnel, boss, it's the left one."

Soon he caught up with us, we were looking for the shelter Jon had mentioned, but we couldn't find it. Alex, walked a few steps and stomped, we heard the hollow sound, and lifted it up, it was in the ground. We made sure it was stocked with supplies for people made sure it was still holding up strong, then covered it again. headed back.

"Go help Ben and Marsha."

"Yes, boss."

Alex ordered Jon before we got out of the tunnel. I was about to follow, but he stopped me. Once Jon was gone, he turned to me.

"What?"

"You're not coming with me."

"What? I want to fight along side you."

"No, you're not."

I was getting angry with him, was he being sexist.I scoffed and walked away, this was bull.
