Luna POV I sat silently in the bathroom, waiting for Damien to return with clothing. I used my heightened hearing from my wolf to listen in on his conversation with Anthony. I was learning to trust Damien and fast, but I was unsure of his friend, although he told me I could trust him. "Stop worrying so much." My wolf instructed in my head. I knew my wolf wanted me to calm down. It was just hard in new surroundings. Damien opened the door fast and tossed a bag of clothing in. "Come out when you are dressed." He instructed. I gladly grabbed the bag off the floor. A casual but comfortable pretty blue dress was in it, as well as a set of undergarments and a pair of saddles. I pulled everything on, and they were all a perfect fit. It felt nice to have clothing again, finally. I was used to being in a state of undress since I loved to shift into my wolf often, but I was feeling a little uncomfortable constantly being naked around Damien. I walked out of the bathroom slowly when I was completely dressed to both Damien and Anthony talking. Damien instantly stopped and turned his attention to me. "You look beautiful." He said with a friendly smile as he walked over to me, keeping me close to his side. Anthony was displeased with our closeness and made it clear. "Don't worry about him. Anthony is a pain in the ass, but he will lighten up," Damien roared, not caring what Anthony heard. Anthony cleared his throat. "I secured a safe cabin within the kingdom you can stay at until we get you home." He said, looking at me. "What cabin?" Damien asked with a hint of anger. "It was the only safe place, Damien. It's not like I have many options. Willow can easily hide Luna with her powers if anyone comes looking." Anthony responded. "No," Damien snapped. "It's the only option we have for the time being. The palace is on high alert right now, searching for Luna." Anthony responded. "Willow is a traitor; why the f**k would I trust her with Luna." Damien snapped again. "Willow has only been marked a traitor for falling in love with a hybrid, Damien. If anyone is going to sympathize with you, it is her, and she respects you for trying to help her when the dark fae army took her beloved away." Anthony responded. I felt Damien's wings materialize as they wrapped me against him. "For f**k’s sake Damien. Luna will be safe with Willow. I may disagree with what you two are doing only because I don't want to see anyone hurt. I will not put Luna in any danger." Anthony said calmly. Damien had me pressed tight against him as his wings completely shielded me. I could sense his anger and, most of all, his determination to keep me safe. I felt oddly safe in this position, and my trust in him significantly grew from his action to protect me. "Luna can go stay with her if we find a way for me to sneak in and sleep with her every night," Damien ordered. "Sleep with her every night," Anthony repeated loudly. "Do you even hear how ridiculous you sound, Damien? In under 24 hours, you have completely changed. You were disgusted just days ago with the thought of sharing chambers with Silver, and now you want to sleep with a stranger every night." Anthony blurted out. "I will protect what I love," Damin responded. I froze against him. Did Damien just admit he loved me? "I clearly can't reason with you; release the girl from your wings, Damien, so we can all talk. Luna has a right to know the implications of our actions." Anthony stated seriously. "I'm not releasing my wings," Damin responded. "You are acting like a child, Damien," Anthony responded, frustrated. "I want to keep her safe, and I also sense she enjoys being wrapped in them," Damien responded in a calmer tone. "It's OK, Damien, you can release me," I whispered. "Well, at least the girl has some sense." Anthony sighed as Damien's wings vanished. "Luna, you need to understand just how serious of a situation we are in. Hybrids and other species are completely forbidden in our Kingdom. It was not like this many years ago when the entrance between realms was not sealed, but other species started hunting fae to experiment and steal our special abilities to create offspring with not one powerful being but a mix. The punishment for any relationship with another species is banishment or death. Your life is at risk by even being in this realm, and Damien risks losing the throne and punishment. Silver, his betrothed, is not someone he can simply brush off, as he states. Silver is the dark fae princess, and the engagement and union will help maintain peace among everyone. Damien and Silver are towed on the week of Damien's 300th birthday, as arranged when he was a child." Anthony explained. My feet moved a little. My desire was to stay with Damien, but I was also concerned about causing him harm. I knew very well sacrifices sometimes needed to be made to maintain peace. “I don’t want to be a burden to anyone. If you let me go, I will do my best to find a way home undetected.” I responded. Anthony nodded, accepting what I said, but Damien turned me around, so I was facing him. "Is that what you want, Luna? Tell me the truth." Damien demanded softly as he focused directly on my eyes. "I want to stay with you," I responded. "Good, I don't think I could let you go," He responded. "Well, it's clear we are taking the risk, then. I have secured a place now. We just need to get there with no one seeing Luna." Anthony responded. "I think I already have a way," Damien responded. "Please share," Anthony stated. "Luna can shift into her wolf and travel with us in that form. We have plenty of wild wolves in the forest nearby, so no one will take much notice of one walking around with us," Damien responded. "Really, no one will think it odd you are walking around with a wolf," I questioned. "Damien has the power to communicate with animals, so it is not unusual to see him walking around with them. This idea may be a very good one." Anthony responded. So that's how he talked to Rose when I shifted. I'm sure she was pleased to find out her mate could communicate with her. "We should get going now, Luna. Are you able to shift into a wolf easily?" Anthony asked. "Yes, I just have to undress again first; I don't want to destroy the outfit," I responded. "The clothing here should withstand your shift. If not, I have more delivered to Willow's cabin." Anthony responded. "Anthony is right. They made our clothing to withstand changes such as wings. Your outfit should be fine. It will disappear when you shift and reappear when you shift back." Damien explained. Ok, I said as I spaced myself a little and shifted into my wolf. Anthony stood stunned, but Damien walked to my side and touched my wolf. "Let's go," Damien ordered
