The waterfall

Angels POV Like most teenagers, I have a secret. I’m the Princess of The Royal Pack, or for now at least, I’m just known as Angel. I’ve spent almost my entire life hiding who I really am, which is frustrating, even if it is for a good reason. I’m seventeen years old, and I’ll soon be turning eighteen, so I should be able to find my mate. Though after everything else that’s happened in my life, I’m not holding my breath. What could have happened, you ask? Well, for starters, we’re supposed to get our wolves when we turn sixteen, and that’s also when we shift for the first time, but for some reason, I got mine on my tenth birthday. I’m not complaining, as I don't know what I would do without my partner in crime, but sometimes, I wish the shift would have waited. With my wolf’s arrival, my emotions heightened, and that wasn’t exactly a good thing. If I got angry and threw a tantrum, my wolf would take full advantage and shift. Something that wasn’t allowed to happen, or at least not in front of anyone that wasn’t my aunt or uncle. My wolf is white, just like the purest of snow; she’s beautiful with Icey blue coloured eyes which are ever so slightly brighter than my own—something she never lets me forget. I live with Aunt Marie and Uncle Nick in a little cottage on the edge of the Moonlight Pack. It was nice, but it was lonely. Uncle Nick worked a lot, and Aunt Maire stayed home, which was cool, but I wanted friends, which child didn’t. I haven’t always been a loner; I used to attend school, but once I got my wolf, that all changed, and I became homeschooled. At first, it was fun, but after a while, I craved freedom. Once I had a taste for being in wolf form, I’d shift every chance I got. If Aunt Marie went shopping, I’d wait until she was gone and go for a run. I understood they were doing their best to keep me safe, and don’t get me wrong, I’m more than grateful for everything they’ve done for me, but I hated being trapped within four walls. Like my wolf, I loved to feel the earth beneath our paws and the wind blowing through our fur. There was nothing more soothing. As my alarm began to beep, I opened my eyes and yawned. I was knackered from the previous day and just wanted five more minutes. ‘What are you yawning for? You’ve slept for fourteen hours solid.’ Star’s voice echoed in my mind. I loved her, but I wanted to be left alone and go back to sleep. ‘Not only is it half seven in the morning, but we had an intense sparring session yesterday remember, it wiped me out. I could sleep for a whole week if only you would let me.’ Pulling my pillow over my face, I sighed. A morning person was something I wasn’t. If I could sleep until late afternoon, I would, but unfortunately, neither my wolf nor Aunt Marie would allow it. If you hadn’t already guessed, Star is my wolf, and first thing in the morning, she is full of attitude, not that I can moan because I’m just as bad, or so Aunt Marie likes to tell me. It doesn’t bother me, though; she has always said that my dad was the same. I may not remember him, but it makes me proud when they say I remind them of him. As we sat for breakfast, Star kept picturing where we would run off to, not caring that it would give me a headache. Her favourite spot was just at the bottom of the mountains. At first, I thought it was because of how beautiful and peaceful that place seemed, but lately, I think it’s because of the wolf we often see in the small river at the bottom of the mountain waterfall. ‘How many times have I got to tell you? I get this funny feeling when he’s near or when we see him, even if it is from a distance.’ Star defends herself in my mind as her snout tilts upwards. ‘Maybe he’s our mate.’ I tease while shrugging my shoulders. The truth is, we wouldn’t know for sure, not unless we saw him once I turned eighteen, and let me tell you, I could not bloody wait. I had dreamed of finding my mate since I was a little girl. My Aunt Marie had told me about the mate bond, how much my parents loved each other, and how that love was possible because of the Moon Goddess. The Moon Goddess created all werewolves, and she was the one that would pair us with our mate. That way, there was someone for everybody, a perfect match, making us whole—a true love, just like something straight out of a fairy tale. Aunt Marie had told me that my parent’s love was one of the strongest loves she had ever seen and that I was a gift because of that. I don’t remember my parents, as I was only two when they died, but the way Aunt Marie and Uncle Nick described them in their stories made me feel like I knew them. I mean genuinely knew them. I learned how far my dad would go to protect my mum and the rest of the pack. My mum died protecting me, just as my dad had protected his pack. I knew what I wanted, and I knew I wanted my mate to be like my dad. To have a love as strong or even stronger than theirs. ‘Fearless, strong, compassionate and kind.’ Star mumbled in my mind. ‘But don't forget about being handsome and having a good sense of humour.’ I replied, earning an eye roll and a chuckle in return. After breakfast was another day of training… Whoop! I could taste the sarcasm on my tongue as if I had spoken the words out loud. Uncle Nick insisted I be ready for the day I take back the throne of the Royal Pack, yet being a she-wolf meant I would have to convince the council of Elders to let me keep the title. As I have alpha blood, I’m stronger than many wolves, and because I’m a she-wolf with this extra power, my slim-toned build allows me to move quicker, giving me even more of an advantage. Let’s say I’m a surprise package. “Can you at least put more effort into your punches, Uncle Nick?” I’m getting fed up with how easy this is. I want a challenge. “Believe me, Angel; I am putting all I have into this; you’ve completely tapped into your heightened strength. Well done, sweetheart.” "You seem shocked; surely you should know by now that I always surpass your expectations." Whilst I was busy getting cocky and wasn't paying attention, I was knocked on my ass, flipped over and restrained in a chokehold. I quickly pushed my strength into my arms, pushing Uncle Nick off me, jumping up and sending him flying with a spinning kick whilst in the air. "See, I've got this; I can get out of anything" Standing with my hands on my hips, I raised an eyebrow in his direction. "Angel, you can’t afford to get cocky with training. What I teach you could save your life one day. You may be able to defend yourself, but your fight or flight will kick in in a real scenario. It’s easy enough for you to stand there and say you can do this, but until you are in that situation, you’ll never know how you will react. You need to pay more attention and never turn your back unless you are one hundred per cent sure that your opponent is either unconscious or dead." With that, Uncle Nick turned away, clearly upset that I wasn't taking this as seriously as I knew I should have. I made a mental note not to get distracted and to give him my full attention next time. Plus, I'm sure some form of punishment would be waiting for me later. Last time I had to do all the cooking for a week. I can cook, and I'm actually really good at it, but I certainly do not enjoy it. “Well, if that’s us done for the day I’m going for a run. Star is more restless than normal.” I shouted after Uncle Nick, who stopped in his tracks. “Just be careful and remember no one can see your wolf form; otherwise, they could figure out who you are. And Angel, I don’t need to remind you how bad that would be.” Uncle Nick always worried about me being found out, even if he was annoyed with me, but I knew it was because he cared. I jumped and shifted mid-air as I ran down the little path at the back of our cottage. Star was so happy to be free, while I was happy to take a back seat for a little while yet still be alert to our whereabouts. It was the beginning of autumn, but the air was still very warm. It had been the best summer, with the weather not yet chilly. The forest was beautiful. The tops of the trees were starting to change their colours. Some were a gorgeous shade of fuchsia pink, some of a golden yellow, and others different shades of green. As we headed to the waterfall, I would listen to the songs the chirping birds sang and simply breathe in the fresh air. The waterfall looked like something out of a fairy tale. The water was a transparent aqua blue with bright little flowers scattered along the edges. Star and I thought the same thing; we would bring our mate here once we found him. Jakes POV “Aahh f**k!” I grunted as I blew my load inside the she-wolf. I couldn’t remember her name, but I’m sure it started with a C. It didn’t matter anyway, as I’d be with someone else next time. Once I was finished, I got myself up and headed to the bathroom to shower. “I want you gone by the time I’m back.” “No!” Was all she said, making me stop in my tracks. My eyes turned black as I looked back at her; she began to tremble as I walked nearer to the bed. “Did I just hear you right; I could have sworn you said no?” I knew fully what she said, but I wanted to see if she had the balls to say it to my face. “I said no! Why should I leave, I just let you f**k me, and now you want to throw me away like I meant nothing!” That was all it took before I lost my temper. I’d show her I could throw her away when I liked. As Alpha, many she-wolves wanted to be in my bed, hoping I would take them as a chosen Luna, but they always did as they were told and left the next morning. I grabbed the mouthy b***h by the ankles and dragged her down to the middle of the bed, pinning her arms above her head with one of my hands. I leaned on her upper body and put my still-hardened c**k on her lips, rubbing them with the tip until she opened that big mouth of hers. As she opened up, I forced my c**k deep into her throat and began thrusting my hips, not waiting for her throat to adjust, making her gag. As I released her wrists, she gripped my thighs and bobbed her head up and down with speed slowing every few seconds and licking the tip of my c**k. After a few minutes, I blew again. Standing up, I grabbed the girl and threw her into the corridor outside my room. Shutting the door and locking it, I went to shower. The last few days, I’ve become horny all the goddamn time, and it didn’t matter how many she-wolves I f****d; the relief didn’t last for long. I had a feeling that Benson was right, that I would soon be meeting my mate.
