"Mate," He said as he walked over to me and placed his hand in mine. Everyone gasped in shock. I was also shocked because I didn't feel the same way I felt when I met him the first time. His scent didn't smell as good as it did when I met him in the past. I could feel a little spark when he touched me, but they weren't as strong as they had been the first time. It was like the mate bond was there but it wasn't as strong as the first time. I knew the Moon Goddess was giving me a chance to choose if I wanted to be his mate or not. I was so happy because this would make it easier. No matter how strong the mate bond would have been, I was never going to accept Cain. Not after he betrayed me.
