The woodland people.

As Kimnoth and james ventured deeper into the forest, The Forest grew ever denser and darker. unknown strange sounds could be heard from the tree tops. It was like the sound of clicking of tongues.

"Urgh Kimnoth what the hell is that noise coming from up there". James asks nervously as he points to the tree tops above.

"Oh That be the woodland people", He explains as he peers into trees above. "They be short tempered little beasts but so extremely cute , you just want to grab them and hug em", Kimnoth says with humour in his tone.

Suddenly something small drops in front of us from the tree tops. it had its head down and so James couldn't see its face. But it kicked kimnoth in the chins. it barely came up to their knees.

"kimnoth How many times do I have to tell you we are not cute, we are fierce ",It says as It lifts its head to look at Kimnoth. it was fury with giant eyes that was definitely adorable like a puppy. James could understand now why Kimnoth thought it was so adorable.

"Oh yes I am sorry rockdoor you indeed are super scary" Kimnoth says, You could hear the sarcasm in his voice.

It turns it head and looks at James. Gives him a death stare and then walks up to him and kicks him the chins aswell.

"Ouch!, What the hell did I do!", James blurts out.

"I heard what you thought " Rockdoor announces with an unimpressed look on his face.

"What the hell did I think?" James questions confused. James wasn't even aware he was thinking at the time.

"You thought I looked cute", Rockdoor responds as he pointed at him with what James assumed was supposed to be an angry face. James couldn't but think that even when they were mad they still were extremely cute.

Rockdoor took a step sideways and kicked his other chin but much harder this time.

Causing james to loose his balance and fall backwards.

"WHAT THE HELL LITTLE DUDE THAT HURT, WHAT WAS THAT ONE FOR ", James blurts out now feeling rather bit angry.

"If you know what's good for you, you'd stop thinking", Rockdoor says as he pointed at James in the face.

"Gheez you are a short tempered little beast aren't you?", James says amused. as he gets himself up from the ground and dusts himself off.

Kimnoth Bursts into laughter, "James my Boy I did try to warn you ". He says as he continues to walk forward into the forest.

Rockdoor growls at us and returns to the trees in a single bound. Clearly there was more up there.

"Springy little beasts too ", James says in awe. "So How many are up there do you think Kimnoth?". James continues to look up into the Trees. This world was not the world he knew, Mystical creatures and magic where told in fairytale's certainly not living and breathing creatures of truth.

"There is exactly 100 up there ", He says to James in a serious tone.

Kimnoth threw his arm out forcing James to holt. "Do Not misjudge them, They will protect and help those they feel they can trust, But if they cannot Trust you believe me they can and will inflict pain upon you".

James looks at Kimnoth, "Oh I have no doubt". James replies. "So why have we stopped?". James say's curiously.

"We are waiting for them to grant us Further passage", Kimnoth say's as he looks up as he points to the trees above.

"How are we to know it has been granted? ". James asks with curiosity.

"Wait boy and you will see ", Kimnoth says as he stare off into the forest ahead. "Watch ahead boy ".

James looks at Kimnoth and decides to follow him and observes the forest ahead. "So Kimnoth do all the woodland people live in the trees?". James asks as they stand side by side.

"No Boy only the woodland guards". Kimnoth responds as stands tall never loosing his focus ahead. "They protect the others from larkin beasts and the snakes of Helma.

"owe ok, Uh do I want to know what the snakes of Helma are? ".James questions.

"Cause that larkin beast was rather terrifying".

"Nope", Kimnoth responds in a matter a factly tone.

"Alrighty then, Let's not meet one of those then ", James says. Just then a green light in front of them and whispers around there heads. the tiny little creature made a strange buzzing noise as it zips around there bodies and darts around their faces. James watches it nervously.

"Shhhhh" Kimnoth warns as the creature does its thing.

As quick as it appears it ascends back into the trees. Immediately The forest ahead slowly vanishes and a village full of woodland people emerges with their tiny little houses and small gardens.

"Wow", James blurts out absolutely stunned by what he just saw. as they step through the magical barrier that protected the village , James looks back and watches the barrier close over again.

As they come closer into the village , Everything goes silent and all the villagers stop and stare. "KIMNOTH" One of the villagers yell out, as they push through the crowd. "YOU FINALLY CAME BACK". she says as she emerges through the crowd crawling on all fours. once their is an opening she stands up. she appears to be twice the size of the rest of the villagers but still rather short in comparison to them and she is not hairy like the others either.

"Oh pinky, How are you my dear ", Kimnoth says as he leans down to give her a hug.

"Oh I am doing great, Thankyou Kimnoth ", she says with a smile.

"And how is your Mother Dear? ", Kimnoth questioned as he seemingly perused through the villagers seemingly looking out for her.

"Oh, Well She is mad as heck with you at moment. Well actually she has been fuming now for the past year". Pinky proclaims as she places her hands on her hips. "You know the Fatherly duty you were supposed to fulfill last year".

James looks stunned for a moment, as he suddenly blurts out , "FATHERLY DUTIES! , Did you.....With a ... woodland woman!!?" .

Kimnoth Gives james a stern look. "Its not what you think boy".

"Sure sounds like it" James responds amused.

Kimnoth looks at James and seems thoroughly annoyed by his out burst. Kimnoth whispers a quick chant that james did not hear.

"Oh my God why do I suddenly taste Dirty feet", James suddenly blurts out with disgust as he opens and closes his mouth desperately trying to get rid of the taste.

Kimnoth Bursts out in laughter so loud it echoed through the Village. "Foot in mouth my boy, Foot in mouth". kimnoth says as he continued to laugh whole heartedly.

Pinky let out a giggle. as she walked beside kimnoth.

"Oh man this is nasty ", James whines as he follows behind them .

"Now pinky, please take me too your Mother I have some apologising to do". Kimnoth requests.

"Your game kimnoth, very game indeed", pinky responds as she Looks at Kimnoth.

"No point in delaying the inevitable my dear". Kimnoth says but You could see he was a little reluctant but He continued on anyway.

pinky looks at him and raises her eyebrows and shrugs "Its your funeral I guess ".

It appears upon arriving to the village Kimnoth has some woes he needs to attend too. So many questions are running through james mind. He will get his answers but it definitely isn't as he expected.
