doing my best not to act any different with Ashley.

yesterday I didn't have her in my class but today I will and on top of that her friend seem to be constantly with her. from what I gathered from the flowers she got from Zack yesterday it's apparently a birthday week celebration. she said her friends and her aunt go all out every year for her.

we'd talked over text Sunday and she told me a little about her parents and how she ended up with her aunt.

to say that my first thoughts of this girl have been completely blown out of the water and I had to again apologize for being such an ass when we first met.

I don't know if I'm supposed to get her something or if I'm just supper to sit back and watch. I don't know what the rules are for this but I also don't want her to think I'm a shitty guy.

because trust me when I say I may have a couple years on Zack but he seems to have this caring guy friend thing down, anyone looking in can tell he's in love with her but she I guess doesn't notice.

I think I'm going to call my buddy after work and fill him in, he won't judge me about this and maybe he would know what to do.

I sit at my desk looking at my computer when the class starts filling in.

when I look out the door she's on Zacks back as Alex feeds her food and Ellie is taking pictures of them. they are just chatting outside the door.

and I'd be okay if it wasn't for her on his back.

I stand up and make my way to the door clearing my throat

" let's get to class guys. Ashley off his back"

I send them all a glare and land my last one on her.

she slides down his back grabbing the rest of her food from Ashley and hugging her and Ellie just glares back at me before they walk away.

I stand there and wait for them to enter the room of course Zack makes her go in first so I don't get to actually say anything to her.

once everyone is settled and the lesson is out they are just catching up on what we they haven't finished so far.

me- what'd you get today?

she looks up and smiles

Ashley - Alex brought me donuts and they came to tumbling with me which means they got up before their usual time. they will hate me later ( laughing face)

me- howd tumbling go?

Ashley - same as always. isn't much of a challenge anymore since the old director left, I may stop going.

I look up and see her looking out the window lost in thought. I wish I knew what was exactly going through her pretty little head.

me-you look beautiful today.

she doesn't respond right away as Zack caught her attention and he rubs her back gently telling her something.

Ashley - thank you. you don't look so bad yourself.

we continued to talk back and forth until she left my class and I just wish I could have a real conversation with her.

towards the end of the day I was walking to the athletic hall to get things ready for practice when my phone went off.

Ashley - so just a heads up Ellie invited us all to swim this evening. so Zack is thinking about getting pizzas and making a thing of it.

but if you don't want us bothering you I'll make up and excuse.

ugh! I could do without him coming to my house and flirting with her openly but i know she wouldn't go for telling him he couldn't come.

me- I'm cool with that.. as long as you make up an excuse for hanging a little after they all leave.

Ashley - sounds like a plan. I could use a really big hug at the moment but it can wait.

me-everything okay?

by this time I'm on the field with the guys and she's down field with the cheerleaders so I guess I want find out right now.

after practice she left and didn't stick around to work out or run in guessing since my sister has made plans with her. so I rushed home to clean up a little and call Dalton thankfully he answered after the second ring

Dalton - hey man how's it going?

me-I'm alive. and Ellie's doing good. when you coming to visit.

he played football with me but didn't go pro by his own choice he got a job working in sports therapy and he seems to enjoy it.

we made small talk and caught up for a minute

Dalton - okay dude what's up? you seem distracted.

I sigh. here does nothing.

I explained to him from meeting Ashley to her coming over and telling me how she felt. to dealing with her friends and the fact that I don't know what the hell to do.

he laughed. hard.

me - okay so whenever your done any advice?

Dalton - is she hot?

I rolled my eyes

me-honestly someone 17 shouldn't look the way she does.

he laughed

Dalton - okay but you said she was about to be 18 right?

me - yes Thursday.

Dalton - so what's the problem?

me- because she's a good girl. she's got a good head on her shoulders.

Dalton- so basically you aren't sure if you know how to date her with the extra since dating is really your thing. and no Macy doesn't count, that wasn't a serious relationship.

I sigh rubbing my face

me- basically.

he gave me the advice to just go with the flow. but how do you go with the flow with a girl you shouldn't actually be with and is constantly surrounded by other people one being a dude who loves her.

wasn't long after there was a knock at my door and I knew it was Ellie and everyone else

" hey el"

I hear a giggle and look up and find Ashley standing there with her clothes she had on from school on , just shorts and a tee with a bag

" ash" she smiles at me

" can I come in?"

I nod looking behind her for the rest but it's just her.

she comes in placing her bag on my counter and she hops up just smiling at me

" you look lost"

I shake my head trying to clear it

and for and stand in front of her between her legs

" just wasn't expecting you, just you"

I place a small kiss on her lips feeling out how she's feeling about everything and she lets her body fall into mine as her small hands rest on my chest

" thought I could use some time before they all showed up"

she kisses me this time her legs wrap like around me and our bodies fully pressed together.

she taste f*****g amazing. when we pull back to catch our breath she has a smile on her lips

" I needed this"

she sighs I put some of her hair behind her ear rubbing her cheek

" everything's okay?"

she shakes her head sighing

" I don't know yes I guess but no at the same time"

she doesn't have more time to explain because there's another knock.

groaning I kiss her lips one more time

" we will finish this later"

she nods agreeing before hoping down and I go to answer the door this time it being Ellie, Timmy , Alex and Zack.

I look at Ellie and Timmy

" why is he here?"

she shrugs and I hear a giggle behind me

" he's a friend chase don't start"

Ellie says rolling her eyes pushing her way in. I glare at their retreating back and then land one on Ashley who just shrugs like shes innocent.

she goes to change and I make myself comfortable in my office trying to focus on anything but my girl outside with that dude.

my birthday week is always fun but ever since Monday Alex has been saying things about me needing to give Zack a chance, one I can't explain to her I'm sort of seeing someone and two I've never seen him as more than a friend's so it's just made things weird. today she told me that he has told her he likes me as more than a friend but was sworn to secrecy. which she obviously didn't keep and now things are just uncomfortable because I don't know if he's being friendly or trying to show me he likes me. it all makes my head hurt.

being in chases arms makes things drift away so that's why I came early I needed that I need a moment with him.

" Ashley what is your aunt getting you for your birthday?"

Alex asks and I shrug in the water.

" I'm not even sure you know it's always something over the top"

we share a laugh as we swim around and Zack is eating some pizza so I can just enjoy for a moment.

Ellie and Timmy are in the water but by the steps talking and flirting I can tell by the slightly blush they both have.

I look up towards the house and see chase looking out him window he winks at me and I look around no one is paying attention so I stick my tongue out and I see him laugh.

I soon got out and ate some pizza and talked Ellie and Timmy

" thank you for inviting me El. you really didn't have to just because of my birthday, they act crazy like this every year"

she waves her hand

" it's what friends are for and honestly it's more fun hanging out with y'all"

I give her a smile. I'm happy she's finding her place at the new school and she's happy.

she has told me a little about her life beforehand coming here and I'm noticing she's coming out of her shell more and more.

" think he has anything to drink?"

she laughs

" just raid the fridge"

I nod hopping up and going to the fridge.

beer and sandwich meat. typical guy.

" what are you looking for?"

his deep voice comes from behind me scaring me to death I jump and turn and I'm face to face with his chest I look up and see him smirking at me.

I push his chest but he doesn't budge

" you scared the hell out of me"

he chuckles

" I shouldn't have it was a good view"

I know I'm blushing now and he moves my hair out of my face as I bite my lip

" what did you need?"

at first I forgot what I'd even come in here for but then it clicked

he whispers out and I turn bending back over to get it and hear him groan out behind me

I stand up closing the fridge and he pins me to the counter

I raise a brow at him

he lets his finger slide under the string of my top Making my heart rate pick up

then he pops it against my skin making me gasp and my eyes snap to his there dilated as he looks me over

" walking around my house in Hardly nothing when I can't bend you over is definitely teasing me"

everyone left and I said I was going to stay and clean up our mess.

after I was sure everyone was gone I went upstairs and found him on his office, thankfully the door was open so I knew which room his was in.

I stood in the door way Taking it all in. he has a few awards, his college degree but what caught my eye was the picture of him in his football uniform running off the field smiling with his helmet in his hands.

I walked over getting a closer look, he doesn't look much different so it couldn't have been long ago.

I didn't hear him come behind me

he nods

" everyday but I enjoy coaching and where I'm at now."

I nod crossing my arms shivering a bit since I'm still only in my swim suit

" let me grab you a sweater "

I was going to say I could just go change but he was gone before I could protest.

he came back putting a sweater over my head and then I finished putting it on smiling like an i***t, it smelled like him. I looked down and it looked to be a college sweatshirt.

he smirks before grabbing my hands and pulling me with him

his body falls in the chair and he brings me to straddle him

my voice cracks at the end

" you can't control his feelings for you and he can't be upset if you don't feel the same way"

I just sigh out

" I guess we will see how it goes"

" what are you weekend birthday plans?"

thankfully he changes the subject

" just the normal. I'll have a girls morning with my aunt then a small little party at the house. nothing crazy"

he thinks for a moment

" want a pool party?"

I raise a brow at him

" oh and how are you gonna pull that off?"

he chuckles

I nod before I kiss him being this close to him and his warmth makes it hard for me to think straight.
