I got to the front desk, asking for a ride into the little town down the road, they were going to call a cab for us and I told them I would get my girl and we would be right back to wait out front. I might not be able to help her pick out a dress... or anything really related to the day, but I could look for her ring, her luggage, anything she will need. I had all my things with me, I walked back to her and saw her getting the plates picked up and taken off and she smiled as she saw me. That smile on her face... I was glad I was starting to see it each time I blinked. I could tell she was still worried about how comfortable I was around people... like I would have issues with normal people or normal wolves that weren't in a pecking order. I held her hand as she started to ask where we were going, but then we got to the front of the resort and I saw the cab pulling up and I opened the back door for her. She looked shocked again, like I didn't know how to open my own door, but she slipped inside and I took her hand in mine. We were in the cab for a short amount of time. I remembered being in the car service when I got here it seemed to be half an hour from town to the resort, but going back it look less than 15 minutes. I chalked it up to less traffic and moved right onto pulling her out when we got to the small shops that were here for mementos and shopping tourists. There weren't any high class shops, and most were crowded since it was such a beautiful day to ski and snowboard.  Most people were probably on the mountain until it started to get darker. We went into a few shops and we looked around until I saw a jewelry shop and I pulled her in with me. "Now here is where the Prince part comes in nicely... find one you like... maybe a matching set and it's ours." I told her and she took a hard intake of breath before she looked up at me. "Go on." I told her and she licked her lips, putting her bottom lip in-between her teeth and she started to look down into the cases. "What are we looking for today?" "Wedding ring sets." I told the man being the counter and he nodded. "We have a few in every case. We sort the metals and the stones. What metal do you like? We have Yellow gold, white gold, sterling silver, we have a new sort of metal that seems popular-" "I've never really worn any kind of color... maybe a white gold." We couldn't wear silver, but the color against her skin would be nice, so I stood next to her as he pulled out a few options they had that would fit with diamonds.  "Feel free to try any on." He told us and I nodded and moved to pick up the big diamond that could be seen from 15 feet away and I grabbed her left hand. She looked nervous, and her palm started to sweat as I slipped the ring on her fourth finger. "I think that one is a bit too much." I heard my mate say and while she looked at it and seemed to like it, I knew something about it said exactly what she was feeling. She might be my mate, and she might deserve the biggest ring...but she was going to wear it everyday, she needed to love it and pick out her favorite. I saw a few that were medium sized, but she seemed to float to look a the ones with small but plenty diamonds on them. I saw her pick up one that looked like the diamonds were braided with some sapphires. She slipped it on her fourth finger and titled her head like she was just seeing how it looked. She then put it back. She was very quiet and I wish we had bonded already so I could see what was going on inside her head and I knew which one she really liked, which one she really wanted but might be too worried to ask about. But alas, here I was, waiting to see if she chose one, or if I would have to make the pick for her later on. I wanted her to be happy with the one she wanted, to want the one she wanted and I didn't want to mess up choosing for her. "Any contenders?" I heard the man who had brought the rings up ask her as she tried on a third. "Maybe I should see the yellow gold as well. I don't know." She shrugged and her head moved so she was going to look up at me so I plastered a smile on my face as he started to open another case and she moved to look at them. I pulled out the ring that she liked the most, the first one she tried on and set it down before looking at her looking at the options in a yellow gold. There was a heart shaped emerald with diamonds all around it. Nothing too big, but she picked it out first and slid it on before shaking her head and putting it back. There were a few that looked like flowers and a few that had the big diamonds all alone on it but none seemed to make her jump for it. "If you are unsure... give me one moment." I saw the man head into the back, and eh was only gone for a few seconds before he came out with a small arrangement of pinkish gold rings. "These are the few I have in rose gold. You look like you have the skin tone for them, and they are very pretty. this one here... it is a wedding and an engagement set. The engagement has the butterflies and the heart shaped diamond." He lifted it, showing it off and I saw my mate sort of melt as she saw it. He passed it over and she slipped it on and smiled. It wasn't a soft smile... but a smile that lit up the room a bit more. She loved it more than the others, and she didn't take it off after admiring it. "And the wedding?" I asked and he nodded before holding out the band with many diamonds wrapped around it. "Do they really need to come in a set?" She asked as she slid the second on as well and then looked at it again. "That's what they are dear. they are sets. The first to show you are taken, the second to show how much your husband loves you. I work hard to provide for my Mrs. she gets some of the biggest diamonds I can afford to show her my love. Men go into the big sizes or they go into the plentiful. With sets you can do both." He was right... the diamond on the butterfly and heart shaped one was big enough not to be missed, and it also had the diamonds going around the whole thing, and the second ring that came with it was coated in small diamonds. "You like one, I like them both, you can have them both." I told her knowing that she liked the butterfly and heart one, but she would have to wear both. At least, both after the wedding. "It's too much." She whispered but she had no other objections. I nodded to the man behind the counter and he nodded. He didn't say anything about the price but I was sure he knew that I didn't care. He took them from her, made sure she was ok with how they fit before he put the others away and then started to ring us up. "My darling... how about you go and see if there is any other shops you wish to go in while I pay." i told her and she narrowed her eyes. She knew what I was doing.  "You just don't want me to see how much it is." She accused and I nodded. "Fine. But if I find the receipt I am looking at it later." She told me and she leaned up, kissing the corner of my mouth before she walked towards the front door. "Young love always blossoms to a great love." The man behind me said and I turned to smile at him. "Blossoms like a beautiful butterfly." I told him as I made a reference to the rings. "If you come back for anniversary's we do deals on cleanings." He told me and I smiled. "But I guess you are not one to worry over sales." "No. She is a little new to the whole money idea. Not me." I told him and handed over a card and he took it, looked at the name before the name on the ID I had to show to prove it was my card and he moved right over to ring me up. Quite literally. I had both rings in two separate boxes and I walked out with one in my hand, the other in my jacket and I pulled the butterfly and heart ring out to slide on her finger. "So... how about we look for some luggage for you." I told her and she smiled softly and looked around. "Any place you like." We went to a couple stores, saw some pretty big luggage bags and we were hauling them back up to her small cabin. She again said that we could go to the resort for a room and I just smiled and told her that I liked holding her close in the small bed. She had blushed, told me she was going to get ready for dinner and then she disappeared from view. We were just walking in the door to her mothers when she started to show off the ring. I knew the choice was a great one when she did that. Her mother gushed over it, smiled at me, and looked at it a bit harder as she saw the design. Her sisters Elena and Roxana came over and gushed over it and I just stood there and waited. "You must have used a pretty penny to buy this." Elena told me and I opened my mouth to say the truth when Violet looked at me and licked her lips and seemed to want me to wait. "I did." I told Elena and she nodded slowly as she looked between the two of us and then we were invited to sit down. I sat next to my mate, happy to hear a few more stories about her growing up the favorite to all the siblings. It was refreshing to hear that not everyone hated at least one of their siblings, her father came in with dinner and set it down before carving the meat and we passed plates around.  I could feel Violets eyes on me as if she was worried I would have a melt down about someone dishing me food, or someone here was going to do something that offended me... but it was really all ok and again, I wish we had that bond already so I could tell her that her little worry line was back without her father or sisters jumping at me telling her not to worry. When her father opened his mouth and asked me again... "Why do you want to take my daughter away from all she knows," I knew that I had to speak up and let out the truth. "Well, sir, again I mean no disrespect, I did not mean any upset either. But in my experience when people learn who I am, they tend to not act themselves, and being as you are my mates family I didn't want to be in anther situation like that. I am Luka Moroz, the youngest brother to Alpha King Vladimir of  Russia." I paused and waited to see if he was going to get upset about my lie before I continued. "As a prince I cannot stay on another Kings property unless I am mated to a family member of his. As I am prince, albeit sixth in line for now, I still have to live in Russia. As my mate... your daughter has to do that same." I added and that was when people around the table started to share looks. "So she can't come back to live... ever?" "We will visit." She cut in quick and then she looked to me as if I would object and I was slightly hurt that she seemed to be worried I would say never. "We will visit. As much as the Alpha King allows. If he doesn't want me here but will allow her for extended periods of time... we will have to be ok with that." I added and wondered if some mateships were this strained. If she wanted to be home for a month... and I couldn't stay for a month... who was I to make her come back to a place she might not like just because I could not stay. They all started to talk about how they could possibly live with out her in Romania, how it seemed so hard to think of, to comprehend. I let them fret and she started to look from me to them, as if she was trying to make a choice, or wanting a solution to just fall from my lips... the entire table wanted her to stay, and I saw it in her eyes, she wanted to stay. "Excuse me." I told them and I moved to get up, I got my jacket on and I went outside. Did she really not want to move? Not live with me in Russia? Mates were bound for each other, we were built for each other... but I could not be what she wanted if what she wanted was to stay here with all of her family.
