Swift turn

ADIRA'S POV A few weeks later, the ambiance kept my mind relaxed. I hold dear to my diary, putting down so many new things I have tried out, including the new relationship experience. The moment I was shattered by Brayan's appearance. He ran in, and in his hand was the lifeless body of the same lady who embarrassed me a few weeks ago. Brayan ran inside with her, and I followed up immediately to find what was trying to unfold before me. Was she lifeless, or was it a trick? "I trust Brayan," I murmured as I ran inside. I grabbed Brayan by the hand as he turned to leave. "What happened to her? Who is she?" I curiously asked. We exchanged glances, and through his eyeballs, I searched for my answer in his heart. But I met a dead end. He swiftly removed his hand from my grasp and said, "That's the princess. I met her unconscious on my way back," Brayan explained, as he was already looking for the best medication to use on her. "The princess of this pack?" I shockingly asked, and my hands paused. "Yes. Have you met her before?" "No!" I answered, unsure if she was the one who crossed my path. I became confused; his explanation wasn't clear. "You met her lifeless on your way back. Why didn't you take her to her family? Why bring her back home?" I asked, and I also joined in helping him find what he was looking for. "She might give up the ghost before I get to the palace. The king might blame me or think that I killed his daughter." Hearing that, I paused and asked, "Does that mean the king is rigid?" "I can't say he is, but he doesn't tolerate any form of weakness. And he doesn't go back on his words," Brayan said and paused. He placed his hand on my shoulder and said, "Let's forget about this; she will be up soon and returning to her parents." He assured me, and I nodded in agreement. After giving the princess the proper treatment, I became tired and slept off on the chair close to the bed, which I have been doing lately. Because of the bad dreams, I woke up. The sight before me was disheartening. "Brayan!" I called out. He couldn't answer immediately until he finished what was in his mouth. "Yes!! Are you awake?" I angrily stood up from the seat, trying to comprehend what I saw. "No! This is my dream world. What the hell are you doing? She is feeding you. What is going on here?" The more I try to fathom what is going on, the more my view gets blurry. Brayan acted as if he didn't care; he sat there and continued taking the food from the so-called princess. As I rushed to drag the food from her hand, I fell. I couldn't see anything clearly; I couldn't stand on my feet, nor was I able to say a word. All these things happened; Brayan didn't make a move. "My dream is coming to pass. Please, moon goddess, I don't want to experience such a life once more. Take it away, please." I pleaded as my breath slowly seized. ********* I woke up with my body wet. My head felt a sharp pain as I struggled to sit on the wet floor. After some time, I managed to stand on my feet and clear up the mess. I searched every corner of the house; Brayan was nowhere to be found. I was shocked, and I still find it difficult to believe what happened. "Did I offend him? Did something happen that he refused to talk to me about? Maybe the princess said something to him." I couldn't come to conclusions yet; I waited for Brayan to return, but he didn't. As darkness approached, I ran out to look for him. I searched for him everywhere we used to go, but he wasn't there. "Maybe he took the princess home," I said, running to the palace. Getting there, the environment was something that I can't speak of. There are so many giant guards, which makes it very difficult to access. But I was allowed because I mentioned Brayan's name. Before I could get close to the king, he asked in a fierce tone, "Who is that fool?" I didn't answer until I got to him and greeted him. I introduced myself, but it seemed like I was in the wrong place. The king slowly changed his position: "Oh, you are the one who harassed my daughter on her way? How dare you?" I was shocked and couldn't say a word for a few seconds. "I didn't do anything to the princess, my king. She attacked…." He loudly cut me short: "Bloody fool. You have the guts to stand before me and accuse my daughter of such a thing? Today, you will learn the lesson of your life. Lock this fool up," he commanded. I pleaded with tears in my eyes, and he stood by his words. I spent two days in prison, with no sight of Brayan. When the guards found out about my pregnancy, I was released. I sluggishly went home. I bumped into Brayan, and the princess drowned in the ocean of lust right on the bed. My mouth widened in shock; I couldn't scream or say a word for some seconds. I finally broke out, "The princess again? What is she doing here?" My question was like a mere whisper. Brayan only looked back, ignored it, and continued. My heart shattered, and my world came crashing before me. I still found it difficult to believe my eyes. I stood there, tears rushing down my eyes, as I watched the only person I love to showcase his s****l tricks. I couldn't stand their presence anymore. All the promises he made to me, he destroyed. "How did we go from the sweetest match to this? What did I do wrong? Is this a curse?" I asked myself and slowly walked out of the house. I gave them the privacy they needed while I cried down the mountain.
