Spell out the good news!

I was standing outside of Wright Building looking at the facade and amazed at how luxurious it is. I was hoping I can get the job because it will be an incredible experience that I could add to my credentials in the future. Truthfully, I couldn't find any better place to work other than the Wright Company. I crossed my fingers! When I entered the reception area, a snappy attendant welcomed me and I smiled at her. I let her know about my purpose and she made a call to Miss Ana's office to make a confirmation. When she put the phone down, she gave me an access pass and instructions about her office floor. I thanked her for being so accommodating before I proceed to wait for an elevator to arrive. I pinned the 16th floor as per the receptionist's information. When the elevator stopped, I stepped out and I found a woman standing near the glass door. She introduced herself as Marla and she's Miss Ana's assistant.  "This way Miss Adams," she guided and I followed her. When we reached in front of a wooden door separated from the workstations, she knocked twice and we heard a woman's voice telling us to come in. "Good day, Miss Adams. I'm Ana the HR head," I reciprocated the greetings. She motioned for me to sit on a chair across her table. "I have read your credentials and you're applying for a Marketing staff," I answered her with a yes. I was a bit shaky because of the tension which kept me fiddling with my fingers. "You have a good record from school and from your internship program," her next words as she browsed my files. I felt relieved because of her good remarks. Well, of course, I work hard for that in the past. "Unfortunately, we don't have a vacancy in that department," she disclosed and I was a bit disappointed but I masked it for her not able to notice. "But we have a vacancy that for sure will suit you for the time being," she announced and I was back to being spirited "Miss Ana, what will be the job?" I asked curiously. "Our CEO needs additional administrative support because his office has a lot of work to finish in three months," she informed and I nodded. She added that usually the CEO was the one who conducts an interview for his personal staff but he's out for an important meeting. He entrusted Miss Anna to choose for the meantime. "I believe you are capable of being one of his personal team," she was looking intently into my eyes. "I'm fine with it, Miss Ana. Any corporate work will do for me," I assured. I noticed she inhaled a deep breath like something was lifted inside her. "Alright. But if there's a vacancy in the Marketing department in the future, I will tell you immediately," she informed me and I smiled snappily. "That would be great and thank you so much, Miss Ana," I expressed because I felt delighted about it. "Miss Adams, I have prepared your job contract and it would be better if we could do the signing today," I stilled because I thought the signing of the contract will be scheduled for another time.  "Here, please take time to read on that small cubicle and get back to me if you have questions," she handed me a folder and I sat up to move to that cubicle she pointed for me to have space and to understand the contract clearly. I started reading and everything that was written on the first three pages was fine with me. I think it's all fair and both parties could benefit from it. When I turned to page 4, I couldn't believe the figures in the salary section. 5000$ a month, Holy crap! That's good money! It's really true that the Wright company really pays well. Who wouldn't accept the kind of offer? But something caught my attention because a statement was written that I couldn't resign in a span of two years unless the CEO will fire me personally. Or else I will pay the company tenfold and I might get a bad record in the future. When I got back to Miss Ana's table, she repeated important details of the contract and I just nodded at her because I have read those clearly. "Alright, Miss Adams welcome to Wright Company," I thanked her and we shook hands. I felt ecstatic because I couldn't believe I'm already an employee of Wright Company. "Come with me and I will introduce you to Charles, his secretary," I sat up and followed her out to meet him.  We stepped out of an elevator on the 25th floor and a man welcomed us. I believe one of the staff. We walked inside to a man in a suit who was seated on his chair reading some documents. "Hi Mr. Charles, this is Miss Adams your new colleague," he reached for my hand to shake and I gladly took it. I guess he's in his 40's because he's quite matured or just because of his eyeglasses. I noticed he smiled weakly and I couldn't tell if his character is serious or just plain. After Miss Ana's introduction, she left and Charles offered me a tour of the whole office space. Actually, it's the entire floor. Spacious! He said that there are four people working for the CEO's office and it will be 5 including me. He introduced me to the man who welcomed us earlier as Sam who is a bit lively because he's smiling often. Another man named Jazz, a woman named Lana who is a bit short but I have a feeling that she's friendly and another woman named Britt. The office for the staff is on the right side and the left is the whole space for the CEO alone. I am amazed by the design of the working place because everything is in order. Charles showed me my working station and it's near his office cubicle outside the CEO. He said we will be working closely as he needed support because the CEO has a lot on his plate at the moment. "Miss Adams, you can go home in the meantime and take a rest," he said and I nodded. He informed me that he already requested my personal access pass in the building and it will be available tomorrow when I get in. The receptionist will hand it over to me as soon as I enter the premises. "You can start your work tomorrow," I didn't forget to thank him before I turned my back to reach for the elevator.  I did not go home straight because I went to the market to get some groceries. I noticed that we were running out of some items in the fridge when I checked on it before I left. I reached our apartment at six and Audrey was already making us dinner. "Spell out the good news," the first thing she said while holding the spatula. "I got the job!" I screamed and we both jumped in happiness. "Congratulations!" she hugged me tightly and I got teary eyes in an instant. I told her everything about the interview and she stunned by how big my monthly salary is. I shared also about the tour and how beautiful the offices.  "Haven't you meet the CEO yet?" she asked and I shook my head right away. "He was out for an urgent meeting as per Ana," I replied nonchalantly. I could see a hint of a smile on her lips. Strange! "Oh, I see. So it's your first day of work tomorrow, right?" she said and nodded at her. "Alright, Good luck again!" her tone was a bit tease and I felt like something's wrong with her. Damn, Audrey!
