Katherine was therefore positive that she was correct. Marshall extinguished the cigarette after taking a few more puffs. "What are you going to do next?" he asked, shifting the subject instead of carrying on the chat. Katherine thought, blinked her eyes, "Well, not sure yet. However, I'd want to take a trip and explore a little." Since she and Marshall had recently separated, she was understandably agitated. She can only image the mockery and sympathy she would receive as his ex-wife. especially considering that she wed Marshall for a really humiliating motive. She married the Grants only as a health boon for Old Mr. Grants. Due to his illness, Marshall was compelled to marry her. Katherine had a clear feeling that Marshall initially had second thoughts about marrying her. Moral obligations at the time left him with very little choice. All he can do is tie the knot with her. However, the evidence showing that happy things help stave off illness was complete nonsense. After the marriage, Old Mr. Grant was certainly happier, but his physique didn't truly improve. He still faced numerous challenges. It had only been a year since their wedding. She is therefore able to vividly imagine what others would think of her. She should go and wait for everything to blow over. Recalling her thoughts, Katherine glanced at her cup and said, "I'll be back on grandfather's 100th Memorial Day." After pausing for a while, Marshall said, "You can stay at Peter's. Do you need anything?" Peter had been working for him for years as his assistant. Katherine accepted with a nod, saying, "All right. "I promise," Katherine exclaimed when the food was presented. She didn't say anything at all. The truth was, she was at a loss for words. They also had nothing much to say throughout their brief union together. They did not appear to have any other reason to communicate other than to become entangled with one another while the light was out. As a result, after the divorce, the two were more apart. Marshall ate very little and didn't seem to be very hungry. Instead than listening to him, Katherine focused only on the meal. However, she had to acknowledge that before, she had been a little impetuous. She placed much too many orders. "All packed to go," said Kathrine, leaning back against the chair before she had even finished half of the dishes. It was rare for a customer to bag the leftovers because there was always someone here. The server was dumbfounded. He heard Marshall say, "Pack them." With an uneasy smile, the server said, "Okay, just a moment, please." Marshall eyed Katherine when the waiter went to get the wrapping box. His glares annoyed Katherine, who thought, "What? Was I embarrassing to you? Marshall smiled and asked, "And I haven't ask you why you marry me?" in place of responding. Why, Katherine blinked, "Because you're stinking rich." Before Marshall could even finish his sentence, she continued. "But then I realized that there are way more people richer than you." "So this is why you agreed to have the divorce with me so quickly?" Marshall arched an eyebrow. With a smirk, Katherine remained silent. Following the server's packing of every dish, Katherine departed with Marshall. Marshall called a cab for Katherine since he had to be somewhere else. "What about you?" Katherine said via the window after boarding the cab. "What?" scowled Marshall. "Why did you marry me?" "Because you're pretty." He went on, though, "But then I realized that there are way more ladies who are prettier than you." Katherine put on a glitzy makeup by midnight. Due to her lack of social standing and her unusual marriage to Marshall, she was not well-liked in the Grant family. She felt so uneasy about other people's opinions that she was practically reborn only by applying sultry makeup. Katherine changed into an outfit that looked really good. She suddenly loved her clothing as she stood in front of the dressing mirror. She then proceeded to the biggest and most well-known pub in the downtown area, which was split into multiple areas. A public dance floor included a diverse range of men and women engaging in lap dancing. There was also a business part of the bar, but Katherine didn't think she needed to go there after taking a quick glance around. Next, she moved to the public area, located a location that was free, sat down, asked the waiter to come over, and ordered two bottles of wine and a fruit tray. She then leaned against the sofa to sip the wine and watched others dance. Because of the gaudy, bright ornamental lights, Katherine had trouble seeing other people's faces. However, they all appeared content. Katherine pondered. She's wealthier than those folks. How could she not be content? She placed multiple additional orders for fruit trays while considering this. With the alimony and stock profits, she doesn't need to work at all and can live a carefree life. And then someone approached her and made advances at her. Considering she was the only person here and looked stunning, it was expected that someone would approach her. "Alone?" the man asked as soon as he sat down. She could tell just by looking at him that he had to be a good man. She didn't respond, drank all the wine, and raised her glasses at him because she understood that people were here for fun and open to one-night stands and other such situations. The man took a swallow of the wine as well. With a smile, Katherine set the glass down. She got a refill right away from the man. Inside, Katherine felt much better. She knew she was pretty and would be embarrassed if no one made an attempt to make a move on her. But when she's drinking, she can't help but think. She questioned Marshall's current actions. Given that he finally received the divorce he desired, he is undoubtedly celebrating right now. This notion irritated Katherine, so she placed another wine order. Meanwhile Marshall was in the business area of the bar's private room exactly so it occurred. There's a less formal business gathering. He was hosting a potential business partner who held considerable influence in the foreign market that the Grants were trying to penetrate. It would be much simpler for the Grants to go global if he could close the deal with this individual. Furthermore, this man asked Marshall out on a date today. Therefore, Marshall could not possibly reject him. This individual appeared to be a middle-aged regular customer. However, he only discussed the business matters in a symbolic manner before summoning a number of escorts. In fact, Marshall thought these kinds of sexually suggestive entertainments evil and had no interest in them. Nevertheless, he raised a glass of wine with Martin Newman. Laughing, Martin said, "It seems you are not used to this kind of places." “Yes..”Marshall grinned as well. Martin made a suggestion, shaking the wine bottles, saying, "You would probably feel better after some drinks." With a laugh, Marshall exchanged glasses with him. This red wine, which Martin personally brought, had a little dry taste but wasn't unpalatable. Marshall disliked the wine and was unaware of its brand. Then, after a few glasses, he reclined against the couch and nudged back, pushing the escort girls out of his grasp.
