"In many ways, I prefer my own company" Olivia's P.O.V It's been a week since I attended school. Most people would freak out for wasting so much time but it's not my fault. School's boring. I've been having dreams about that guy now. I don't know what's happening but it's not good. The last time I was this obsessed for someone was for Ansel Elgort when I watched the Fault in Our Stars. I need a very hot outfit to impress him. Wait, am I seriously trying to win him? I mean, it's my choice what I wear it's not like he matters to me anyway. I add some white strappy heels to this and I'm ready. This outfit is perfect, I bet I could capture anyone's eyes in this. I hope it's not against the dress code though. I grab my phone and bag and head downstairs to eat some breakfast. This time I won't be late to school, I eat a granola bar and walk towards my car. After reaching school, I park and climb out of my car. Like I thought, instantly many people look at me. I sling my bag over one shoulder and start heading in the building. Fortunately, I don't bump into anyone related to him. Chemistry class starts and Jacob is actually alive in this one. He seems to be zoning out a lot and keeps sending me sideways glances. Woah, this school is weird. 40 minutes later, I'm walking towards Physics with sweaty hands. I hope he's not here today. I bet he forgot about me, after all I ditched school for a week. I enter the class feeling calm but I'm not ready for what was about to come next. The place where I sat last time, is taken and the only other empty place is with that stupid son of a b***h, a.k.a God's Masterpiece. I swallow up my pride and slowly make my way towards the back. I keep a still face and sit on the chair and drop my bag on the side. I instantly feel someone's blue eyes staring at me but I know better. Just act like nothing's wrong, and continue your life. The teacher starts her lecture and I'm sharpening my pencil in my pouch ( I didn't want to move from my place) when someone whispers to me. "Hey, you know that you shouldn't skip school that often right? Your grades go down." The hot guy whispers huskily to me. I look at him and he smirks. "Hey, you know that I don't give a f**k right?" I answer back in an equally sweet way. I don't want to give a bad impression but he has no right to tell me anything. The guy smiles and looks toward the board. I keep my pencil down and clasp my pen to finish writing the meanings down of some s**t. "I'm Colton." He says after a while. Oh, is he introducing himself to me right now. I guess the outfit really worked. "Olivia." I say while doing my work. The bell rings and after a crucial period of Maths, it's break. I would totally freak out but today I really want to get to know more people. I'm walking towards my locker when someone taps my shoulder. I turn around to see a pretty girl standing there looking at me. Why is she so gorgeous? She has like 3 things on her face which are, eyeliner, highlighter and lip gloss. I'm shook. "Um, did you need anything?" I ask politely as she smiles at me. "Yeah, I thought you're new here and last time I saw you was on Wednesday." She says softly and I envy her voice. It's so calm and poetic. "I tend to skip school, I find it boring." She laughs as I close my locker.  "Do you want to sit with me? Since your new and stuff so I thought you wanted to?" She asks pleasantly and I could see the hope in her eyes. "Sure, it's not like I have any friends anyway." I chuckle lightly as I grab my phone and some hundreds. Don't blame me! "Woah you're rich if you carry that around for spare change." She laughs heartily as I nod. We enter into the cafeteria and it's exactly like I imagined it to be. Well, come parts of it are the same like the horribly crowded lunch line and the nerds. The girl is pretty nice and she introduces herself as Skylar. I buy some salad and a chocolate milkshake while she takes some sandwiches and coke. "Where do you want to sit?" I ask hoping not in this place where nerds and emos are here. I don't find them weird or annoying it's just I'm not comfortable around them. If that makes sense. "Uh, not definitely here. Let's go out in the football field. There's a pretty pleasant weather today."  Skylar says immaculately. The field is definitely better so we grab a seat at the bench directly next to it. The field is filled with footballers and some cheerleaders. "So, when did you join this school?" I ask Skylar while picking into my salad. "Last year, I wasn't a loner but my friends left school. So I guess we're both lonely." She sighs sadly as I look over in the field. To my surprise, I find Colton with a blonde girl stuck to his hip and Jacob next to him. "Why did you shift here?" She asks and grabs her coke. "My dad is a businessman so he's never home. My mom got remarried 3 years ago and I have 2 half siblings with a step dad who pretty much married mom for her wealth. He blew off all her money in 2 months and my dad realized I was in a bad surrounding so he made me shift to his house. I shifted here because Dad moved his business here due to the high market rate." I reply emotionless. It's not my fault my mom totally f****d up. "Woah, I did not expect to hear that. My story is so much boring compared to yours. Dad shifted here because of his job transfer last year. I have a younger sister who is 1 and my mom is a housewife." Skylar replies uninterested. I would totally kill for this type of family. No that I'm ungrateful of my own. "Do you know anyone named Colton?" Skylar looks at me confused. "Talking about the football captain who is an egoistical jerk? Totally." She huffs out and throws her trash the bin. "Why do you say that?" I'm interested now. I should have known he plays football. Clearly the most popular high school cliche. "His girlfriend's the cheer captain and is a total b***h and his best friend Jacob switches girls like clothes in a wardrobe. All both of them do is f**k girls and not give a f**k about how the other person feels." Skylar says with an eye roll. "Cliche 101, which period do you have after break?" I ask and we both start walking toward the end of the field which means crossing Colton's stupid squad. "gym, I swear to god I'm going to kill myself." She yells the last part out and I nod my head. "Both me and you sister." I smile and I find us nearing him. Honestly, there's a 90 percent chance he hates me. Well, we have one thing in common is that we hate each other. "Where do you get these adorably cute clothes from?" Skylar asks and looks down at her green jacket with ripped jeans and Nike Airs with a frown "Online shopping." I say and make a cute little twirl. She laughs attractively and shakes her head. "Should have expected that." I laugh and realize we crossed Colton ages and we're making our way towards the building. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- P.S.
