Selena POV:

I walked down to the kitchens for my shift and could hear the voices of all the omegas but as soon as I entered, the entire kitchen silenced itself. I quietly walked towards the sink that had now filled and got ready to wash the dishes, "and what do you think you're doing?" Asked a voice, I turned around to see an older woman about Ro's age wearing her uniform. She stood in front of me with authority and to say I was extremely puzzled would of been an understatement. "I'm washing the dishes," I replied dumbly, "are you trying to get us into trouble!?" Growled this new woman. I had never seen her around here but that may be because she worked in a different sector, "Ro didn't tell me to not come in," I said quietly and many of the girls bowed their head at my statement, "Ro doesn't work here anymore." My head snapped up to this new woman, "what!?" I couldn't hold back my surprise and the anxiety in my voice, "where is she?" I asked. "Careful slut! You may have the young Alpha wrapped around your finger but you are still a lowly omega!" She growled her words at me and I noticed many of the other girls also looked afraid. "Emma!" Scolded the Luna as she entered the kitchen, "Luna Anna," bowed Emma, "you will never speak like that to your future Luna again!" She growled, her anger was so uncharacteristic, it was like the world had really fallen upside down. Many of the other girls were also surprised by Luna Anna's personality shift, "thirty lashings!" She announced and Emma bowed before leaving, she finally looked at me and her face softened.

"Selena," smiled Luna Anna, I couldn't help but look at her puzzled, she cascaded towards me and grabbed my hand in hers. I flinched instantly from past trauma, which she ignored. "As a future daughter in law of our pack, you deserve to be treated with respect. I know that we have not been very kind to you but please, can you forgive us for Ethan's sake?" Her words were alarming and shocking and I had no words for her. I looked around for validation that I was hearing the same thing and was surprised to see that many of the omegas were also staring with their mouth open. What was happening!?

"Selena?" She asked again, bringing me back to this twisted reality. "Yes, sorry... It's just a lot to take in right now." She smiled and gave my hand a squeeze, "that is understandable and don't worry about your birthday!" She giggled, "I have a splendid surprise for you and so many ideas for the party!" She was gushing with excitement, "what do you mean?" I asked, seriously confused now. "Your birthday is in three days," she smiled and I continued to look at her dumbly, "I can see that you're taking a bit to adjust, why don't you go back to your room and relax!" She smiled again and gave my arm an affectionate squeeze before pushing me off to the exit. I slowly, walked away. Unsure of what the hell was going on. This was going to be a lot to process.

I left the kitchen and headed to Ethan's room, maybe he would be there and could explain the drastic personality shifts. In all the confusion, I still hadn't found out anything about Ro's whereabouts and what happened to her. The last time I saw her was yesterday when the Luna summoned her to her office and now there is some new lady who has taken over her job and everything... Everything is just getting stranger and stranger.

With all these thoughts swirling in my head, I didn't notice Alice coming down the stairs and we collided, except I fell back and she stood over me, fuming. I was stunned by the impact but quickly gathered my wits and scrambled to my feet, "Selena!" She growled, I tried to step around her and to just ignore her but she grabbed my arm, digging her talons into my flesh, "you think you can steal my mate and walk away!" She growled, baring her canines at me. I yanked my arm out of her grip, ignoring the pain from having my flesh ripped, "he is not your mate Alice!" I growled back, tired of her constant whining. "You cheated on him!" My voice was now raised and my head had started to pound, on top of all the changes, I had to deal with this petty drama. Alice raised her hand to strike me and on instinct I raised my hand to block her attack and she just flew back hard against the wall. "What the f**k!?" She growled getting up, I took a step back and stared at my hand. Did I do that? "You'll pay for this!" She made to run at me but Isaac appeared and stood in front of me, blocking her path, "Alice, you need to stop!" He shouted and she started hyperventilating and seething with anger, "get out of my way!" She screamed at him but he did not flinch. "She is our new Luna," said Isaac calmly, "not yet! And I thought you hated her!" Shouted back Alice, "Selena," said Isaac turning to me, "please go, she won't hurt you while I'm here." His voice was soft and very different to the Isaac that I had encountered in the last eighteen years. I nodded and cautiously walked away. Alice made to attack me but in a flash Isaac had her pinned to the ground, I heard her scream in frustration as I ran to Ethan's room.
