Third Person's POV
Carlos and Tiffany went out of the kitchen.
"So, which place we can talk privately? We need to talk in private." Carlos said.
"Ok," then Tiffany hold his hand and teleported. They appeared in the forest park.
"Where are we?" Carlos asked.
"We are in Spreewald," Tiffany replied.
"Wow, this place is amazingly beautiful!" He exclaims as he looked around the towering trees that surround them. This place has eighteen thousand different species of plants and animals and is protected by UNESCO.
"Ok, what help do you want us to talk about?" Tiffany says. And Carlos backs his attention to Tiffany again.
"Alright, the first thing I want to tell you is, what is happening to the place which I live in as of now."
"Uhuh," as Tiffany listened to his stories about the kidnappings and murderings in Seward Park. When Carlos ends his story, "So how can I help?" Tiffany asks. Carlos breathes deeply before speaking.
"Tif, I want you to go with me to Seward Park and help me to solve these cases." Carlos looks at Tiffany with hope in his eyes.
"Carlos, I told you before I don't want to involve in the cases like that. I want to live a peaceful life, you know that." Tiffany says.
"I know, Tif, but what if this movement will involve humankind and other creatures aside from us?" Tiffany felt silent as he looks Carlos with a blank expression.
"Tif, I have a hunch that this is not a simple case. One of my subordinates told me that this case involves a prophecy." Carlos says trying to convince Tiffany as he reveals what Officer Gonzales says, Tiffany frowned.
"W-what prophecy?" She asked curiously.
"You don't know about the prophecy so how can we disclose it?" Tiffany crossed her arms and looked at the placid lake in front of them.
"Well, I guess we can get help from someone who knew or at least have an idea about ' The Tales of A Vampire," Carlos smirked. Tiffany gasped, putting her hands on her mouth to cover it from shock.
"T-tales of A Vampire? Someone knew about Tales of A Vampire?" Tiffany couldn't believe what she heard from Carlos. Carlos nodded.
"Yes, somebody knows about it. Do you know something about it?" Carlos asked curiously. Tiffany shrugged her shoulder.
"Some say it's hearsay but one of my elders said it's true. That 'Tales of A Vampire is a sacred book bound by spells of the most powerful witches around the world. It disappeared with those elder witches who made it after the Moon Goddess gone to be back on her sacred place to watch us over." Tiffany said.
"Hmmm. What you said is the same as what Gonzales said." Carlos said, rubbing his chin, and thinking deeply.
"Gonzalez?" Tiffany asked.
"Yeah. He is my officer who gave me the information." Carlos says.
"How did he know it?" Tiffany is interested in the topic, especially in Officer Gonzales.
"His grandmother did. His grandmother made it a bedtime story when he was a kid." Carlos explained.
"So, where is that book? Does her grandmother know where it was hidden?" Tiffany asked curiously.
"Unfortunately, he doesn't know. All he knows, like what you said was gone with the witches and Moon Goddess." Carlos replied.
"Oh." Tiffany was frustrated when she heard it. They are silent for a couple of moments.
"I want to find out more about that book. So come with me on the quest of finding it. Let's make an adventure, and let's find out. What do you think?" Carlos smiled.
"Cool! Ok, let's find out. It's been so long since that book cannot be seen or found by anyone." As Tiffany rubbed her fingers on her chin." Tiffany said.
"I'm glad you are interested in finding the book." Carlos smiled.
"But we have to do it discreetly. As far as I know, many have died in finding the book." Tiffany said. Carlos snapped when Tiffany said that and gulped.
"Really?" Carlos replies anxiously.
"Yeah. It seems the book has also a killing spell. Whoever finds it will die. But I don't know if this is true or not so it's very risky. So are you still in the game or out? I'm warning you. And this is not a joke." Tiffany said, smirking.
"Ok. Since I'm the one who needs your help and gets you involved in this and you are in, then I am IN!" Carlos said. Then they clasped their hands as their 'brotherhood' signature. Carlos stood from the ground. He pulled Tiffany to stand up. Tiffany rubbed the dust on her bottom. They continue walking in the beautiful forest.
"So, why does this book convince you to agree with me?" Carlos said with interest. Tiffany put her hands on her trench jacket pockets and kicked the stone into the lake.
"Well, I'm interested in that book because it is said that the past and the future are written there. So If I get that book I will know who killed my father and why? How they killed one of the strongest creatures in the world. And w-why, why I must seal?" Tiffany's eyes clouded with sadness. Carlos hugged her.
"Don't worry, Tif. We will find out someday. And for you, of course, you need to be sealed to keep you safe, I guess."
****
"But for how long? Do I need to hide in my life? For Moon Goddess's sake, I'm in millennium years now, Carlos. I hope that someday all the creatures in the world live in harmony and peace. Not live in the dark. Did you know that many shifters like ours live in the dark? I want us to be freed." Tiffany said with sadness in her eyes. Carlos smiled at her.
"Don't worry princess, this is our chance."Carlos coaxed her.
"Don't call me that. Someone might hear you." Tiffany gives him a grotesque look.
"Oh, sorry. I forgot, Tif." Then Carlos sniffed the air. When he smelled there was nothing something peculiar, he relaxed.
"I think this place is safe to tell secrets, right?" Carlos says afterward.
"Yeah. I think so but let us not be overconfident. Let's go back now and see what John is doing now." Tiffany said.
"Oh, speaking of John, when you will discover his power and teach him to control it?" Carlos suddenly asked.
"In the future. I will have plenty of time to do it." Tiffany said.
"Oh," Carlos thought. When is that future? So he shrugged his shoulder.
"Come on." Tiffany grabbed his hand and she teleported with him.
