Tiffany's POV
Tiffany's POV
"It's been so long, Tif," Carlos said.
"Yeah. So all these years, you stay in Seward Park. Are you belong to the pack or still a lone wolf?" I asked while focusing on my driving.
"Yeah, I have a pack called Blue Moon Shadow Pack." He said. I happily said and glanced at him.
"Oh, they are good. Clarissa taking care of the children while I'm away. So, how is your life here?" Carlos asked.
"It's quite good here. I'm a surgeon here. Lately, I operated on a man who was a victim of the vampire." I replied, remembering Mr. Olsen, so I told him.
"A vampire?" Carlos said with shock.
"Yes," I said.
"So what happened? Did he die?" Carlos asked curiously.
"Unfortunately, no. He turned into a fledgling now and he is under my care." I replied. He sighed.
"Good thing that you saw him before others do," Carlos said.
"Yes. You know I won't allow him to kill innocents and patients in the hospital." I said, glancing at him.
"Yes, I know that, Tiffany. You are very different from your other kind." Carlos remarked.
"There are many vampires who want to live in peace and harmony with humans and other creatures, but you know, some are not like that," I said with sadness.
"Yeah. You are right." Carlos agreed with me.
"You see that painted white house with blue rooftop?" As I pointed out the house.
"Yes." He replied.
"That is my house." As I continue driving toward the house. At last, we reached it.
"This is it." And I parked my car in front of my house.
We go out of the car.
"Let's come inside." As I invited Carlos, he followed me.
Third Person's POV
She opened the door of her house and called John.
"John! John!" As she shouted. No one answered. She went straight to the kitchen. She saw a note that was stuck above the door refrigerator. She picked it up and read.
Dear Tif,
I go to the Supermarket, so do not worry about the cheese, I know you will forget it because you have a visitor that you must accompany. It won't take long. I cooked steak, pasta, and surkal. Hope you and your visitor will enjoy it.
John
"Oh, he went to the supermarket. Ok. Let's go upstairs to put your luggage there." Tiffany said.
"Ok." Carlos nod and follow Tiffany upstairs. She gave me the room that was beside John's room.
"Here you go. This is your room."
"Nice." He looked at the whole bedroom. The interior and the color were for a man: gray, white, and black. He went to the window and looked outside. The trees and flowers were good sights to look at while the rains pour on them.
"This is marvelous!" Carlos said smilingly with crossed arms.
"Thank you," Tiffany said as Carlos turned back to sit on the bed.
"You like it?" Tiffany asked with glee.
"Of course, I like this. Thank you. I'm hungry. Let's eat." Carlos said.
"Ok. Come on let's go back to the kitchen." Then the two went out of the bedroom to the kitchen.
The aroma of the steak was mouthwatering that Tiffany drooled when she untangled the cover. She uncovered the other dishes, too, that were set on the table. She got two plates and cutlery.
"Come on let's eat Carlos." After she put the pitcher with water and glasses on the table.
"Ok." Carlos sat on the chair and they started to dig for the food.
Tiffany's POV
John was a good cook. Since he came to my house there was always been lots of food prepared by him and ready to eat in my refrigerator. He was a foodie and so am I. I'm grateful to the Moon Goddess. She gave me a companion like him.
We finished the food with nothing left.
"Wow! This is the best steak I ever tasted! More than tasty than a famous restaurant." Carlos exclaimed.
"Yeah. I agree with you. I'm lucky to have him around this house." I said.
"Ok. I'm the one who will clean the dishes." Carlos stood and started busting out the plates to wash.
"Hey, no. You are my visitor. I'm the one who will do the dishes, not you." I try to get away his hands from the plates.
"No. I'm your friend. Let me do this like old times, Tif." Carlos said looking at me with pleading eyes. I gave in.
"Ok, then. Do the dishes." I said in defeat.
"So this friend of yours, who is his sire?" John asked while he puts the plates in the sink to wash. I get the rags to wipe the table.
"I don't know. But his sire is very fast." I replied.
"Oh, how did you know?" He asked curiously.
"Because John was so fast when he caught the deer. He was quick and fast to move even doing a simple task. He is quick to prepare food or cook it and do other things." She said. She based her observations on John.
"Oh, I see. That is good. So what are his other abilities then?" He asked.
"I don't know yet because I am always busy at the hospital. But I trained him to eat human food."
"Really?" He said quietly surprised.
"Yes. He needs to." She said in a flat tone.
"Ok," Carlos said.
They heard a car engine off. Carlos and I looked at each other.
"Maybe it's John. I'll go and check it out." Tiffany said as she strode out to the kitchen and checked who came. It's John. She saw him in the big glass window of the living room while she walked towards the door.
When Tiffany pulled out the door, John entered the house with bags of groceries.
"Thanks, Tif," He walked to the kitchen but halted when he saw the man washing the plates.
"Oh," He slowly came to the table looking at the man. Carlos just glanced at him and continues what he was doing.
"Oh, you are?" John asked. Tiffany appeared at the entrance of the kitchen leaning against it with crossed arms.
"He is Carlos, my friend whom I picked up at the airport."
"Oh, I see." Then John rummaged through the bags, pulling groceries one by one and putting them on the table while Tiffany help him arrange them inside the ref. After Carlos wash the dishes, he dried his hand with the hand rag that is hanging at the side of the refrigerator.
"Hi, You must be John. Nice to meet you." Carlos said and stretched his hand. John took his hand to shake. He sniffed the air.
"Oh, you're smell is different. You smell not like a vampire or human " John said with amusement.
"Yes, you are right because I am a werewolf," Carlos said. John's eyes bulged when he heard Carlos and in a split second, he was on the ceiling, crawling. Tiffany opened her mouth in surprise.
"John, what are you doing there?"
"Oh," John, surprised that he was stuck like glue in the ceiling.
"Oh, h-he is a w-werewolf a-and, and we are vampires." He was stuttering in his explanation. Tiffany rolled her eyes. Carlos chuckled, putting his hands on his hips.
"So?" Tiffany said to him raising her brow. John was stunned for the meantime when she saw Tiffany's relaxed expression. So he jumped down from the ceiling wondering how he did that.
"Werewolf our enemies, right?" He asks anxiously. Tiffany sigh.
"It depends upon the situation. It's on a case-to-case basis. As for me, Carlos and I are the best friends for centuries. He is a good friend of mind."
"Oh," John remarked, blinking his eyes amusingly and looking at Carlos. Carlos smirked.
"Oh, sorry for that." He said to Carlos.
"Don't worry about it buddy." He tapped the shoulder of John.
"So how did you do that?" Carlos said.
"Did what?" John asked with confusion on his face.
"Did as spiderman do. Stick on the ceiling like glue." He said. Then John's face goes blank.
"I have no idea." He said. Carlos chuckled.
