Chapter 15 I Come Back to Collect Your Debt

Amber hadn't seen that coming, and she never thought that Lynnsey would attack her first.
"What the hell are you doing! Let go!" Amber's face turned pale as she exclaimed loudly.
Lynnsey clenched her grasp and said coldly, "I didn't know you brought some men to join us."
"I didn't!" Amber immediately denied it.
However, when the bodyguards of the Bridge family hiding in the dark saw that Amber was threatened, they all rushed out and surrounded them.
Lynnsey glanced around. There were nearly twenty of them. The Bridge family really took her seriously to send so many people to get rid of her.
Lynnsey had learned some Krav Maga skills for self-protection when she was abroad, but they were not enough to deal with twenty bodyguards at the same time.
Without hesitation, she turned around and locked Amber's neck with her elbow. "I just came back, Amber. You just couldn't wait to kill me, right? Are you afraid that I will kick you off the seat in the company?"
Amber almost passed out from the pain. She gritted her teeth and said, "Are you f*****g insane, Lynnsey! How dare you attack me! You want to die?"
The tone of Lynnsey's voice was extremely cold when she spoke again. "Haven't I died once in your hands four years ago? Do you really think you can get me again this time? Since you care so much about the position of the Bridge family's heir, I'm going to let you know how it feels when it is taken away from your hands!”
Amber felt her heart skipped a beat at her words. She suddenly realized that Lynnsey had changed, and she was not the one she used to be anymore.
The way Lynnsey spoke convinced her that Lynnsey would really take away what she had. If Lynnsey knew that her two babies were still alive, then...
Amber was overwhelmed by panic. Before she could react, Lynnsey dragged her towards the east side of the cemetery.
Being strangled made her feel difficult to breathe, and she almost even passed out. All the bodyguards saw it and didn't dare to act rashly, they had no choice but to follow them.
"Lynnsey, think twice." Amber said with difficulty breathing, "It doesn't do any good for you. Why don't you let me go first so we can have a talk?"
"I'd love to, but only you and me. Tell them to leave us," Lynnsey said flatly.
Amber gritted her teeth. If she dismissed these bodyguards, Lynnsey would definitely kill her.
She nearly burned Lynnsey to death in a fire four years ago. She knew that Lynnsey had come back to collect her debt.
But Amber didn't know Lynnsey well enough. Lynnsey didn't plan to get her hands dirty.
She did come back for revenge, but she didn't like killing people. She preferred torturing them and making their lives hell.
She dragged Amber all the way to the east side of the cemetery which was crossed by a river that ran through the whole of East Plergant City.
Lynnsey sneered, "If you don't tell your people to stand down, I will push you into the river."
Amber shuddered because she knew that Lynnsey was capable of doing that. "How dare you!"
"Why don't I dare? You brought so many bodyguards with you to kill me today, didn't you? It's not bad to take you with me if I have to die." After that, Lynnsey lost her grip and pushed Amber forward.
Amber closed her eyes in fright and let out a scream. The next second, the collar of her dress was grabbed.
She opened her eyes and found herself on the edge of the bank. She was pretty close to falling into the river.
Amber had no choice but to shout, "Back off! Back off! All of you!"
Otherwise, Lynnsey would definitely push her into the river!
The bodyguards exchanged a look at each other and retreated, but they didn't dare to leave them too far. If something happens to Amber, all of them have to face the consequences.
The next second, Lynnsey yanked Amber hard and the two jumped into the river together.
The cold water startled Amber quite a lot. She tried her best to get to the surface of the water and shouted, "Help! Somebody! Help me!"
The bodyguards heard the shouts and ran over. But it still took them some time and when they arrived, Amber was almost drowned.
By this time, Lynnsey had already disappeared into the water.
"Go find her! Bring that b***h to me! I'm going to skin her alive!" Amber yelled at the bodyguards, trembling all over. Her face twisted in rage, which made her look like a hideous witch.
Getting the orders, all the bodyguards jumped into the river again to find Lynnsey.
But Lynnsey had already deep-dived into the river and swam far away. In the past four years, she had participated in winter swimming training every year to be fit. Compared with the cold and icy water in winter, this temperature at this time was nothing at all.
She swam to the shore when she heard someone talking.
