Chapter 6 Lynnsey Is Not Dead!

929 Words
The Watkins villa was located in a quiet and green neighborhood which was also a typical wealthy area in East Plergant. The servant led the way respectfully, followed by Lynnsey and two kids. "Lynn, you're finally back!" Tanya Watkins waited for a long time at the door. When she saw Lynnsey, she was suddenly in a trance, as if she saw Jessica who died young. Her poor daughter was beautiful yet unlucky. Unfortunately, her granddaughter inherited her mother's fate and suffered a lot. "Grandma." Lynnsey hugged Tanya tightly and finally caught a trace of peace in her heart. Except for her kids, Tanya was the only one Lynnsey cared about in this world. When she moved into a small and remote town abroad, Tanya still found her and persuaded her to come back home. But Lynnsey knew that most of the Watkins' did not welcome her back, so she delayed her return all the time. "You must be Liam and Nikii, right? You are so adorable." Tanya bent and touched the faces of the two kids. A smile appeared on Liam's face as he said, "Grandma." But Nicole took a step back on alert. Her pretty face was written with indifference. Tanya knew about Nicole's condition, and she sighed, "I have already contacted the doctor. We will send her to have a check-up in a few days." Lynnsey didn't think it would be helpful, but she nodded and didn't refuse Tanya's arrangement. Then, they followed Tanya into the villa. All the Watkins gathered in the living room. This villa was the family mansion, and those who could live here were all the direct descendants of the Watkins family. "Mom, why did Grandma ask us to come back here today?" Erica Watkins asked impatiently. Erica was twenty-eight, and she was Lynnsey's elder cousin who had been married years ago. Today, she was told to come back. Erica's mother, Kelsey, took a sip of the coffee and said lightly, "I think it may be about the will." "The will?" Erica's eyes lit up when she heard it. She was already married, but her grandma still called her back in a serious manner. Did it mean that she could also share a part of Tanya's property? Not only her, but the other people in the living room were also restless. They all cared about Tanya's will. After all, it was about the property of the Watkins family. Just as they were thinking about how much money they could share, a few people walked in. Besides, Tanya was a young and beautiful woman who was in jeans and a shirt. She tied her hair up in a bun. Her outfit was simple, yet it couldn't lessen her charm and beauty. Even in East Plergant couldn't find another woman who could be as gorgeous as she. Erica suddenly felt that this woman looked familiar. "Lynn, here are your aunts and uncles. Say hello to them." Tanya gave Lynnsey a nudge and said. Lynnsey greeted everyone with a perfect smile on her face. However, the living room fell in silence when they heard the name. "Lynn? Lynnsey? Didn't you die four years ago?" Erica found it hard to believe and exclaimed. "Watch your mouth, Erica," Tanya said with a straight face, "Lynn has always been alive, safe, and sound. She didn't want to attract attention, so I haven't told you guys about it." Everyone was shocked at her words. Who would not be surprised when they saw a person who had been dead for four years suddenly appear again? It turned out that Tanya knew that Lynnsey was not dead all the time, and she kept them in the dark so completely. Kelsey's eyes fell on the two kids and asked, "Lynn, you didn't give birth to two more bastards, did you?" The smile on Lynnsey's face faded when she heard Kelsey call her kids "bastards". She looked back and retorted, "I remembered that you were pregnant with Erica before you married into the Watkins family, Aunt Kelsey. Are you saying that Erica is a bastard as well?" "You!" Kelsey's face twisted in rage. "You uneducated brat!" Kelsey got pregnant before she was married, which was outrageous in a wealthy family. She was ridiculed in her social circle for a long time because of that. Now now it had been almost thirty years, and Lynnsey dared to bring it up again. It did hit her nerve badly. Erica was also angry, "Lynnsey, this is the Watkins family. How dare you call me a bastard?" "Enough!" Tanya scolded, and everyone instantly became quiet. Her gaze drifted around the living room, and then she said slowly, "Next time any of you try to talk about Lynn's two kids again, I will let you know the consequences." Everyone present immediately looked away, but they were not convinced. Jessica was Tanya's only daughter, who had been doted on since she was a child. After Jessica got married, Tanya gave her twenty million to establish the Bridge Group. Jessica was the apple of Tanya's eye. Tanya gave her everything she had. The rest of the members of the Watkins family thought that the old lady would turn to pay attention to them after Jessica passed away. Unexpectedly, Lynnsey became her next favorite. Everyone was jealous and couldn't help but guess how many things the old lady had given Lynnsey in the past four years without telling them. Lynnsey knew what they were thinking of, and she was amused. "Grandma, I came back this time to cooperate with the Watkins family."
