Chapter 5 The Mother of the Children

Spike was taken to the VIP room by the bodyguards soon. There was a man sitting on the leather sofa who looked powerful and cold.
He was in a black suit, and the look in his eyes was cold and stern. Even if he didn't say anything, his aura could shudder others already.
When Spike was taken in, he fixed his eyes on his little son.
"Haven't I told you that you can't run out without my permission?"
Spike straightened his back and talked back, "I just came out for a walk. Was that not allowed either?"
"Yes." The tone of Ray's voice got colder and tougher.
He stood up and walked towards Spike, "Do you know how many people are focusing on you outside? Do you have any idea what would happen to you when you ran out alone?"
"No idea." Spike tilted his little head and thought of the woman he had just met.
When he found out about who she was, he would sneak out to see her again.
"Ray, don't get mad at Spike." The woman sitting on the sofa stood up, walked over, and said gently.
She was in a tight red dress that perfectly wrapped her figure, and the makeup on her face was quite heavy.
She squatted in front of Spike and said, "Spike, your daddy is angry because he was worried about you. Just listen to him and don't get out alone again, okay?"
"Why should I listen to you?" Spike pushed her hand away rudely.
The woman was none other than Amber.
She withdrew her hand stiffly and sobbed, "Spike, I'm your mother. Don't be so rude to me. I suffered a lot to give birth to you. You are breaking my heart."
But Spike gave her a look with disdain in return. He was too young to understand what Amber meant, but he knew very well that he didn't like Amber, who claimed to be his mommy since he was little.
"Spike, apologize to your mother." Ray's face darkened. It was obvious that he was pretty furious.
The Morgado could be cold and aloof, but they needed to learn to respect their elders. A person who didn't show respect to his mother would be kicked out of the Morgado family sooner or later.
"Forget it, Ray." Amber sighed, "I'm their mother, but I barely spent a day with them. It's normal for Spike to alienate me. Don't scare him."
She paused and continued, "We are not married, Ray. To be honest, I'm more of a stranger to children. Of course, they won't respect me as their mother. I think I should appear less here in the future. I don't want them to hate me one day."
She wiped away her tears, looking pitiful. Because she knew how she would make Ray feel sorry for her.
Four years ago, when she appeared in the Morgado family with the babies, she thought that she would become Mrs. Morgado very soon.
However, Ray only accepted the children. He didn't want to marry her at all.
Amber tried all kinds of means to flatter Ray, but Ray still didn't change his mind. In the end, she could only gain a position in the Morgado family as the mother of the two kids.

As for Spike, Amber didn't worry about him. The worse Spike treated her, the more Ray felt guilty for her.
One day, she would make Ray change his mind.
When Lynnsey took the two little kids out of the airport, she saw a car parked on the roadside.
"Ms. Bridge, Mrs. Watkins is expecting you." The driver greeted Lynnsey respectfully and opened the car door for her.
Lynnsey nodded and led the kids into the car first.
The car drove them and headed all the way to Watkins's villa.
The Watkins family was her mother's family. Back then, the Bridge Group was founded with the support of her grandparents.
Therefore, Lynnsey's mother, Jessica Watkins, owned half of the company's shares when Bridge Group was established. When Jessica passed away, Lynnsey inherited the shares. Since she was little, she was loved and carefully cared for. When she turned eighteen, she was announced to be the heir of the Bridge Group.
Unexpectedly, the next day, she was photographed in n***d photos by reporters. After that day, she was locked up in the warehouse, and her life was completely ruined.
And all of this was Amber's plan.
After Lynnsey escaped from the fire, she thought about going to the Watkins family to seek help from her grandmother.
But soon later, Amber held a press conference to publicize Lynnsey's unmarried childbirth. She claimed that after Lynnsey gave birth to the stillborn babies, she set a fire in the Bridge's villa and caused the Bridge family to lose billions. After which, Lynnsey "committed suicide" out of guilt. From then on, Lynnsey became a sinner and also a dead person.
Since Jessica was from the Watkins family, the reporters also gathered in front of Watkins's house, trying to get an interview with the Watkins.
Lynnsey didn't want the Watkins family to get involved, so she left without telling anyone.
Anyway, in the eyes of many people, she was a dead person. It was the wisest choice for her to leave this place at that time.
So she went abroad for four years with her two kids.
Now, she was no longer the naive daughter of the Bridge family anymore. Lynnsey Bridge in the past was already dead in the fire.
The car soon stopped at the gate of Watkins's villa.
