The next morning  the weather was still bad, a carriage pulled up to the small cottage.  Thorn sent the carriage to pick Emma up and the carriage was then ordered to pick me up at the house, but seeing as I already was with Emma, the driver was spared that journey. As he helped me with my bag he told me his name is Bert. “Where are we going now, Bert” “Mr. Thorn ordered me to take you to the ship directly miss” We traveled about 2 hours to get to the harbor, when we got there our luggage was immediately loaded onto the ship.  Emma and myself were in a cabin with 2 beds in it.  Thorn’s cabin was next door.  I snuck a peak and saw his cabin had a double bed in, with a desk to the side with some papers on it, the bed-cover was red with gold embroidery, his cabin also had a washbasin in it
