SURRENDERING TO MY SUGAR DADDY

CHAPTER 8

EDWARD’S POV

I pulled out my lighter and my cigar from my back pocket after I placed the documents back to the briefcase. I was going to work on that later for I had lost my concentration, all thanks to her. Actually my priority right now was to think about the beautiful queen that I had just seen. On that note, don’t get me wrong, I have never been celibate. In fact, I have been engaging in a lot of casual s*x. I don’t believe in love so there is no way possible that I would ever commit to someone. Plus I have never met someone as beautiful as the girl.

I was in the process of lighting my cigar when my phone started ringing.

“Antonio, what do you want?” I yelled after picking up his call. Why does he have to call me every time?

“I am so sorry to disturb you sir. I just wanted to know if your trip was fine and if you have been able to trace the girl already,” He explained.

“Of course my trip is fine. Wait, were you wishing for the plane to crash with me inside so that you can take over my businesses? “I asked.

“No sir, of course not.” He mumbled.

“Great. Let me remind you something. I am paying you to protect my life.  If you fail to do that then someone will come to kill you…” I reminded him.

“Of course sir. It is my honor to work for you and to also die for yopu,” He praised me and this is music to my ears.

“So, what do you want, huh?” I asked him.

“I was calling to know if you have been able to trace the girl,” Antonio stated.

“I am at my brother’s wedding at the moment. I will work on finding the girl tonight. I know how to execute my work, you don’t have to keep calling me to remind me what I am good at,” I raised my voice at him.

“A wedding? Sir, I have worked for you for almost fifteen years yet you have never been into events like that. What has gotten into you?” Antonio questioned me.

“Mind your f*****g business!” I told him before hanging up his call. He was right though. Weddings are bullshit according to me. How can a man vow to be faithful till they die and if that is not enough, they include a woman in all of their plans? No, that will never happen to me. A woman will never know of my deals and neither will she be more successful than me let alone work with me.

I wanted to light my cigar again when I heard a familiar voice on the other side of the door. The voice was enough to give me an adrenaline rush and I knew whom the person was. This was my only chance hence I couldn’t afford to waste a second. I jumped to my feel and rushed to the direction where the voice was coming from.

I wasn’t wrong about her angelic voice, she was the one. My beautiful angel had appeared to me once again.

“Hi...” I stammered hoping that she would turn to face me.

“Hi,” She turned and her beauty got to me once again.  Damn, this girl is so beautiful. She is not the type of girl I want to have a one night stand with. She is one of those girls that you want something solid with. 

I really want to get to know her. I want to see her every day when I wake up. I want to know everything about her.

“My name is Edward Parker and I can’t resist saying this. You are so beautiful and perfect,” I confessed as I moved closer to her so as to shake her hand.

“My name is…” Before she could tell me whom she was, she stopped talking instantly as if she had seen a ghost.

“I will look for you after the party. Please don’t follow me,” She instructed after a few seconds. Before I could manage to beg her to stay, she stormed off.

MOLLY’S POV

Lenny was coming towards my direction and I didn’t want her to find me flirting with her uncle. Therefore I had to leave Edward even if that was the last thing that I needed to do. If Lenny was not in the picture, I would gladly spend this evening with him as I get to know him better.

“Where were you? I have been looking for you everywhere,” Lenny scolded me as soon as she saw me.

“I was just looking for the bathroom,” I lied.

“On this side of the house?” She questioned but the bell rang just in time to save me from her constant questions.

“Let us go to the wedding. We are not supposed to be late,” I told her and good thing is she agreed.

I wish Lenny could approve of this relationship. It is such a shame that I will have to hide things from her once again so as to avoid judgement. I liked Edward. I was attracted to him because he was old just like the way I wanted and to add icing to the sugar, he was a billionaire. He was going to help me pay my blackmailers and then after that he would give me the life that I have always wanted. I was not going to give up chasing after him even if it means losing my friendship with Lenny.

I know that saying this sounds selfish but this is my only chance to be happy and I won’t trade it for anything in the world. I have been through so much pain in my past and Edward is my redemption. 

I really hope that he will meet with me after the party just like I had instructed him to.

I want to get to know him better.
