MOLLY’S POV
“Dear brothers and sisters, we are gathered here to celebrate the wedding renewal of Mr and Mrs. Parker who have been in love for the past twenty years,” The priest read this from the wedding invite and we all clapped.
I was seated at the first seat in the front row and Lenny was adjacent to me. I am a sucker for weddings and happy endings and honestly I loved the fact that I had decided to come here. Mr. and Mrs. Parker have practically become my role models. When I get married to the man of my dreams, I want us to be happy and to stay for more than 20 years together just like Lenny’s parents.
Meeting Edward today has also added to the excitement right now. As I watched Mr and Mrs. Parker renew their vows, I couldn’t help but think about my wedding with Edward. It will be as I had manifested to the universe few days ago as I was talking to Lenny. It will be by the Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. I will be dressed in a white fancy mermaid dress that will be designed to flatter and accentuate my natural curves. My bridesmaids will wear long silk dresses that are peach in color. Lastly, only 1820 Juglar Cuvee champagne to be served for the guest. As for Edward, I would love to see him in a velvet tuxedo. That guy is such a charm and what attracted me most to him is the fact that he is a billionaire. He will definitely make all my dreams come true. I will not have to compromise any of my plans because he has secured the bag.
We stood up to clap for Mr. and Mrs. Parker after they got their vows renewed and at that point I couldn’t help but look around hoping to see Edward. I have been fighting the urge to look for him for the longest time but right now I decided to give in. My eyes drifted from the couple in front of us to the men seated across from where we were. Finally, I was so delighted when our eyes suddenly met and locked.
Edward was seated right across from where I was. I wish that I had seen him earlier as the couple exchanged their vows. Anyway, at least we are staring at each other right now. When the staring contest progressed, I felt so embarrassed. I really hope that I am not sending the wrong message. I don’t want to appear desperate too soon. I wanted to be a mystery girl so that he will invest his time and energy getting to know me better. Eventually, I ended up smiling before looking away.
“Who are you smiling at?” Lenny almost caught me staring at him.
“No one, I am just happy for your parents. Twenty years in marriage. Wow! They are the real couple goals, leave alone the fake couples we normally see on social media” I didn’t like doing this but I had to lie to her. Lenny had warned me against associating with her uncle Edward and the last thing that I wanted was for her to know the truth and ruin this night with Edward. I had already fallen for him. I am not that type of person to fall in love easily but now that I have, it makes me even more certain that Edward is the man of my dreams. I know that I promised to be honest with Lenny but I can’t help it. I am doing this start something with Edward. Maybe I will tell her later when she has proven to be less judgmental.
“I know right. I always admire them every day,” Lenny added with a wide smile plastered on her face.
“I wish I could meet a man like your dad. I have always looked forward to getting married. I hope that I meet the right person soon enough.” I told Lenny. Anyway I had already found my perfect match. Few months from now, I will walk down the aisle.
“You will love. You deserve all the happiness and a person who will love you genuinely. I know it.” Lenny assured me.
“Thank you.” I said before turning to look at Edward. When I noticed that his seat was empty and that he was nowhere to be seen, I become worried about him. Where has he gone to? Has he left already?
“Let us go to the house and get something to eat,” Lenny whispered to my ear. Even though I wanted to go around and look for Edward, I had to postpone that for later when I manage to leave Lenny by herself for a couple of minutes.

EDWARD’S POV
I don’t like sitting in front but my angel made me do that. I had searched the crowd earlier and I realized that angel was sitting at the front. Therefore I went to sit at the front so that I can keep on staring at her impeccable beauty. Heck, this lady will be the end of me someday. I can already feel it. She is making me do things that I thought I would never do in my entire lifetime. Wow! I can’t believe that such ladies do exist. I mean, they come to your life and make everything turn upside down.
“If you like her, just tell her after this. I have seen soulmates meet in other people’s wedding. You never know, this might be your luck. We can attend your wedding as well as next week if you shoot your shot today,” A nosy guy seated next to me whispered to my ears after he noticed me staring at Angel the entire time. He really has the nerve huh? How dare he talk to me like that? Does he know who I am?
I was about to tell him to mind his f*****g business when Angel turned to look at me. Our eyes locked and instantly I was hypnotized with her smile. I smiled back, something that I rarely do especially in social functions.
“Gosh, you two are so in love, you should get married already,” The nosy guy whispered again and I knew that I was done listening to him. I was not going to waste my sweet time to listen to his bullshit.
First of all I don’t know what he was implicating saying that I am in love with her. Love has never been a part of me. I don’t believe in such nonsense. All this millionaires who give me money end up doing that because of love and that is madness. I am not ready to lose anything because of a girl. I have worked so hard to reach this point and I was never going to allow someone to ruin my life in the name of love.
I hastily left my seat to go and get some air. Maybe I was overdoing things. Maybe I don’t need the girl. Looks can be deceiving. I started smoking to clear my mind but two minutes into it, my phone vibrated and Antonio’s number flushed on the screen. Why does he have to call me every damn time? Who is the boss here for f**k sake?
“What do you want now? I need time to do my own things!” I was so pissed at him for calling. Can’t this people leave me alone? I just want some time to be by myself. Is that a lot to ask for honestly speaking?
“I have some bad news,” He said this and I realized that I had to give me all the attention. I really work on fragile deals and once someone talks of bad news, it gets to me immediately.
“Bad news? What has happened?” I asked as I paced around to easen the tension that was building up.
“The girl does not believe that her dad died of a heart attack. She insists that her dad was murdered.” Antonio dropped the bombshell.
“What?” I gasped. This is impossible. I had spent so much money paying the forensic scientists to fabricate the postmortem report of Bernard Summers. What Antony is saying is impossible.
“Are you sure about this?” I cross-checked with him.
“Yes, the mum just called me right after talking to the stubborn girl.” Antonio said with a dark tone.
“Well, tell her mum to do all it takes to ensure that her daughter does not do anything that will expose us. Meanwhile, I am going to deal with Molly Summers. She does not know the person she is messing with! By the time I am done with her, she will be dead. I promise you,” I announced before hanging up.
