Chapter: Blood

Wade's Point of View

The rogue in front of me is smirking at me as if he thinks that he has the ace just because he is holding Mia with a dagger in his hand. He is really going to scare me using her.

“What's wrong, Wade? Are you afraid that I might

kill this woman?" He said trying to mock me. “I didn't know that you care about having a mate."

It is true that I actually don't want any mate. My wolf is just bothering me to take her and I don't want to refuse since he has been my best friend since I was still young. He deserves to be happy.

“Let go of her or you will regret it big time," I said with gritted teeth.

Knight is already mad and he already wants to get out to kill this man but I know that he might make a naive move which can result in her getting hurt. I know that he doesn't want that to happen so I am doing my best to control him.

“I will regret it? Or you will regret it if you keep on threatening me as if you are the one who is in control of me. You are nothing, Wade, and if I kill this woman, I know that you will be so devastated." I am already furious at this pup.

Mia's neck is already bleeding because of the wound that is created by the knife but she is looking at me as if she is telling me that she can handle it. She is trying to be strong which surprises me since she doesn't look like it.

“Wade, just make sure that every prisoner they have is set free." She yelled.

She is the one who got kidnapped and with a dagger in her neck but she still cares for others. This woman should think of herself first before anyone else.

“Don't mind them! You are more important here." I yelled.

“They are our kind and some of them are human so please save them too." She yelled back.

I can see the concern in her eyes which made me cuss in my breath. She is really worrying about others and it is starting to annoy me because I only came here to save her.

“Stop talking to each other as if I am not here at all." The scared pup said. “Aren't you afraid that I might kill you?"

He is now threatening her but she doesn't look like she is afraid.

“Kill me as if I care." She is even vexing him.

Knight is starting to go crazy to save his mate. I will unleash him in a few minutes. All I am waiting for is for Josiah to fire at him using an arrow in his hand so he will let go of Mia. We are just taking our time.

I can see Josiah from my peripheral vision and he is about to shoot him when Dominique suddenly transforms which takes the rogue's attention. He was so surprised that he stabbed Mia on her side.

When he lets her go, I run towards her to see if she is okay but I can see that the wound is so deep which can be the cause of her death. I am already panicking and Knight too. He is starting to be afraid that he will lose his mate.

“Our mate! She might die!" He yelled.

“Just relax," I said. “They are strong and they will get through this."

Mia is staring at me and I can see in her eyes that she already wants to close her eyes but I keep on telling her not to do it. She is fighting but she is just too tired from all of this. Her eyes were slowly closing which made me shake her whole body but she already lost consciousness.

Dominique seemed to see us that is why he stopped attacking that pup and went to us. He is now holding Mia in his arms.

“Mia, open your eyes? Mia!" He shouted.

He carried her and started running. I know that he will make sure that Mia will wake up. She will be safe and I know that.

My attention went to the wounded rogue who was trying to stand up but he was too hurt to do so and before he could do it, I kicked him which made him fall again. He is now staring at me with fear in his eyes which made me laugh.

“Now, you are afraid of me?" I said with grit teeth.

I look around and see that their camp is already burning. Half of his people are also dead while some of them are deeply wounded which made me smirk at him because I know that this is why he is starting to get scared.

“They are almost dead. You don't have anyone to rely on anymore." I said, mocking him. “I already knew that you are confident because you think you have a lot of people who will obey your commands but where are they now?"

He even transformed into his wolf form to fight me and I also did the same thing. This man is known for being the strongest rogue there is but I am the first born son of an alpha so he is nothing to me. I can end him in just a minute.

I let him attack me until I started to get bored of dodging every attack so I fought back that is why he went flying. His wolf even let out a loud cry when he hit the wall.

“You can't defeat me and you already know that but you still tried this stvpid stunt," I said after turning back into my human form since he is back to being human too.

He is doing his best just to be as far as he can from me. He is crawling away.

“Don't kill me, please!" He begs.

I stopped walking towards him because I could see that he was already afraid. He is not going to do anything like this again so I turned my back on him, trusting that he will not pull any stunts anymore since he is afraid to die however I felt that he stood up.

“He is still really trying to kill us." Knight said.

I turned into my wolf form and bit him before he could even stab me. He is screaming for me to stop but all I did was sway him around as his blood sprays all over the place. His wounded troops started to feel afraid and I could see in their eyes.

After killing him, I let go of him and went back to being human again. I looked at all of them which made them shake from fear.

“I will not end all of you but if you ever try to act like rogues again, I will just end you all. Don't ever try to pull some stunts on me too because you definitely can't fight back once I am already furious, do you all get that?" I asked and waited for their responses but they didn't answer. “I said, is it clear?!"

All of them answered yes in unison.

After making sure that we saved all of those who got abducted, I went back to the pack where Mia was. They tried to stop but I didn't let them. I want to see her and make sure that she is alright.

“What are you doing here? You are the reason why Mia got hurt!" Dominique said furiously. “That rogue knows you! My daughter will never be safe when she is around you!"

He is right that Mia is not safe but I am also doing my best to protect her that is why I am the one who planned this whole attack.

“I am not the one who attacked without even thinking," I said.

We were about to attack each other when Esther got in between. She looks at us with a furious look on her face.

“Mia got hurt because of you both! Because you can't even stop fighting like kids so for once, stop it." She said.

Dominique breathes heavily before going back to Mia's side. He is now holding her hand.

They have fixed their wound and she told me that she is also stable. All we are waiting for is for her to gain consciousness then after that, all she needs is to heal completely. It was a miracle that he was still alive.

We waited for two days for her to gain consciousness. Every minute, Knight wants to check up on her. He already wants to take her back to our place but I told her that she is still unconscious and travelling her back at night was not helpful at all.

Mia suddenly got her conscious back which made Knight want to jump for joy. Her eyes also landed on me.

“I am glad that you are awake," I said. “All you need to do is rest for you to heal."

She nodded her head.

“Can I ask a favor?" She said.

I was hesitant but she deserved it.

“what is it?" I asked.

She stared at me for a few seconds and I could tell that she was having second thoughts to tell me.

“Can I stay here as I heal?"
