Chapter 7: The visit

Mia's Point of View

Wade and my father are giving killer looks at each other that is why I didn't leave his side. I don't want them to kill each other as soon as I leave this man's side. This is what we agreed upon. My facer shouldn't start a fight or else he will destroy this whole pack since there are a lot of people who are waiting outside. All I want is for us to have a nice dinner together. He also doesn't want the other members to join us.

“So you are their alpha?" My father asked Wade.

I can see that Wade is already scowling because of my father's question since it sounded as if he was already telling some bad things to him. He is trying to mock him already without even saying anything offensive because he knows how rogues hate it when there is an alpha.

“Dad!" I scolded him.

“What?!" He asked as if he was innocent.

They won't get long already and here I am still hoping that they are going to get along just fine even though I can tell that they are already attacking one another in their minds. I am relieved that they are not doing anything yet.

“I am glad that you already introduced him to your father. He is our mate so our family should know about him already." Ashina said.

She harbored some hard feelings because I have blocked her for a long time so she can't annoy me about our mate since she can't stop talking about mating under the full moon which is disgusting to me because I am not ready for those things yet.

“I am not introducing him because I already accepted the fact that he is my mate," I said to her.

“Whatever. If you can't accept it then you should reject him but you can't. I know that you are also afraid to lose a mate." Ashina was mocking me which made me block her again.

I know that Ashina and I should get along because she is my wolf however, she always vexes as if she is trying to see how long my patience is. She should know that I am just doing this for both of us since I know that we are going to be devastated when we reject our mate or if he rejects us and I don't want that to happen.

“Hey, sis." Joshua called me in a hush.

Wade and I are sitting away from each other since the table is long. He is sitting in the middle because that is where my father told him to sit which he surprisingly did. Maybe he is also trying not to make a good scene.

Maybe Wade is not so bad after all.

Wade's Point of View

Mia is looking at me which made me feel conscious because I think I am not sitting properly in front of his family or I don't look formal enough since it's been a long time since I have eaten with others. I always prefer to eat alone because I find it really relaxing.

“Wade, can I call you that." Mia's mother asked so I nodded my head. “My name is Esther Summers and this is my husband Dominique Summers."

Wait.

His name is Dominique.

I can't remember the name of the man that killed my parents but I heard it before and I am a hundred percent sure that his name is not Dominique Summers However his face is the same but the name is not. Is this man pretending?

Mia is younger than me and maybe she was not born yet when this man attacked our pack. He didn't even show any mercy even to the children that are crying for his mercy. We are all afraid that he is going to kill us all which he did but he spared me. I can still remember what he said.

“I will spare you so you can feel the pain." He was even smirking at me when he said those words.

After taking down all of them, he left me there crying as our whole pack was burning. He said he was going to spare but he left me there as if he was going to let me burn with our pack.

I will never forget his face.

“We are all glad that you let our daughter visit us here," Esther said nicely but I couldn't stop getting annoyed at her husband.

“Consider that this is going to be the last time that she is going to see you all," I said without even thinking and just letting my feelings get over me.

I can see that the man who killed my family is starting to get mad at what I have said and he should be expecting that because his daughter already met her mate. She is not one of them anymore.

“What are you saying? That she will no longer visit us here?" He asked in a loud voice.

He is really funny.

His reaction makes me want to annoy him even more to see if he is going to attack me or not since we already talked about this. That I am going to kill all of them if he ever tries to go against me and I am dying for him to try to hurt me so I can do what I'm supposed to do.

“She is already my mate, Dominique so you can't do anything about it," I said cockily. “She is already mine."

He growled at what I said which made me want to laugh.

“I am her father so she is my daughter. You haven't marked her yet so she is not yours. She is ours." He said with gritted teeth which made me laugh.

“That doesn't sound right. You are making it sound like incest." I said to mock him more.

It seems like he can't take it anymore that is why he suddenly attacked me. He is holding the collar of my clothes which made me laugh. All I am waiting for him to do is to hurt me so my men would kill them all already. So when he formed a fist, I was very happy because I could already do what I wanted to do however Mia suddenly got in between us which made us both stop.

“Can you both stop it already?" She shouted. “I am nobody's!"

Mia ran away after yelling at both of us which made us look at each other. I can tell that he is already blaming me.

“This is your fault." I am the one who voiced out first.

He looked at me, annoyed.

“My fault? You are the one who can't stop talking." He said.

Both of us started arguing once again because this man made my blood boil. All I want is to rip him into pieces already.

“Can you both stop? Mia ran away already and I know that all she wants is to have a quiet dinner but the two of you can't stop fighting." Esther said and she was already annoyed.

She was still feminine and gentle earlier but right now she is terrifying. I can already tell that she can end us both if we don't stop fighting.

“The two of you are fighting like kids. You can't even stop." She added while rolling her eyes.

Esther left us there with Mia's brother behind her. He even shakes his head at us.

“This is your fault," I said.

“It's your fault." He said.

We followed the two out of the dining hall and all the way to the grounds to find Mia. I am going to apologize again which is annoying because I already look like I am abusing the word sorry.

“This is actually your fault. If you just controlled your temper she will not run away. She would still be here." Knight said. “What if other rogues find her?"

I can already tell that my wolf is worried about our mate and I am too but I am hiding it.

“Can you relax? Our men surround this place so they are not going to let her get out of here. I am confident about that." I said to let him know that there was nothing to worry about.

The three of us went to the gate because the guards looked so worried which made me feel worried too because I can see my men talking to them with the same look. Don't tell me that she left this place.

“What happened?" Dominique asked them.

The guards look at each other first before telling us what just happened.

“Mia just left the pack." My men said which made me growl.

“And you just let her?!" I said with gritted teeth.

My wolf is already panicking because of what we just heard.

“She was very terrifying and mad when she got out." They explained. “We tried to follow her but another group of wolves took her."
