CHAP 18 : NANDANI'S BIRTHDAY

At night, Nandani was sitting on the bed. She thought, "Tomorrow is my birthday,  I hope Manik remembers my birthday, and wishes me at 12:00 am"

Nandani was waiting for the clock to strike 12:00 . Finally it was 12:00 , and Manik called her up. Nandani received the call happily , "Hello Manik"

"Hello Princess , sounding happy what's the matter ", asked Manik.

"No nothing you tell me how did you call me ", asked Nandani.

"I was missing you, so I just wanted to talk to you", said Manik.

"You called just because you are missing me?", she asked

"Yes ", said Manik.

"Manik , its 12:00 ", said Nandani trying to give him a hint.

"Oh I forgot you might be feeling sleepy. Bye sleep well, good night", he said and hung up the call.

Tears brimmed in Nandani's eyes. She cried, "Manik you didn't remember my birthday. I thought you loved me,  but I was probably wrong"

She slept crying, while on the other hand Manik was looking at Nandani, and his photographs, "Happy 19th Birthday sweetheart. I am sorry baby for hurting you, but I wanted to give you a surprise. I want to make your 19th birthday very special for you as well as for me. I love you princess", he said kissing her picture. 

He than called up someone and told, "Did you receive the proof? I hope that all your doubts have been cleared now. I want you and your wife to come tomorrow at my mansion "

"Sure Manik", said the person.

Manik than hung up the call. 

The next morning, Nandani woke up and was shocked to see her room entirely decorated with balloons. Nandani rubbed her eyes to see whether she was dreaming or not. She was admiring the decorations when suddenly Manik came and hugged her from behind. "Happy 19th Birthday Princess", he said nuzzling into her neck. Nandani immediately turned back and hugged him back, and asked,"You remembered my birthday?"

"How could I forget my princess'es birthday", he told hugging her back.

"Thank you Manik its one of the best suprise I have ever got", said Nandani.

"Baby there are many more surprises left, you go and freshen yourself up and wear this", he said handing over a parcel to her.

Nandani nodded and went to the washroom to freshen up. She wore the dress which was baby pink in colour and it reached up to her thighs. Manik was looking at her constantly. Nandani blushed. She went in front of the mirror and was about to tie her hair in a ponytail, but Manik caught her hand and whispered in her ears, "You look beautiful with open hair"

Manik than a tied a blind on her eyes. Nandani asked, "Manik why are you tying this blindfold?"

"Baby there is a small surprise for you", said Manik

"Manik, I can't see anything how will I walk?", she asked.

Manik picked her up in his arms and told, "I am there always"

He went towards his car and made her sit inside the car carefully and drove off the car. Nandani asked, "Manik where are you taking me"

"Baby have patience, we will reach in some time ". said Manik

Within an hour, Manik stopped the car . He got down from the car and got Nandani out from the car carefully. He opened the blind-fold and Nandani was shocked to see a villa, in between water.

Manik smiled and asked, "Baby it was your dream to live in a villa over water, isn't it?"

"Manik but how do you know that?", she asked surprisingly. 

"Of course baby, I know that. From today onward I will be fulfilling all your dreams and wishes", said Manik

Nandani hugged him tightly and Manik also hugged her back. Than they went inside the villa. The entire villa was decorated with balloons and rose petals. Manik said, "Princess you wait I shall be back in a second".

Nandani nodded and Manik went inside the bedroom. Nandani was admiring those beautiful decorations. When Manik came with a huge teddy which said "I LOVE YOU"

Nandani hugged the teddy and told Manik, "Its so big and cute Manik, thanks for making my birthday so special. "

"Baby there is lot more to come , now lets have breakfast ", Said Manik.

Manan had breakfast and spent some romantic time. 

In evening, they returned to Nandani's residence . He called up a few of his maids and beauticians for readying Nandani up.

Nandani wore the off shoulder, pink lavender ball gown gifted by Manik. The beauticians gave a light makeup to her and the hair-stylist tied her hair in a bun leaving a few strands of hair on the face. She wore beautiful earrings and a pair of sandal with dainty flowers on them. No doubt, she looked like a princess. 

On the other hand, Manik changed his dress and wore a white shirt and black jeans accompanied with a black leather jacket. He wore black boots . He looked damn hot like a Greek God. 

Manik than held Nandani's arms and went to his mansion. No sooner did they enter, the rose petals fell on Nandani. Suddenly her friend Navya came and hug her tightly. Nandani hugged her back and told excitedly, "Navya you..? I missed you so much"

"I missed you more Nandani", said Navya 

"When did you come to Mumbai", asked Nandani.

"Yesterday morning Manik called me up and told me to come to Mumbai, he sent me the flight tickets and last night I came to Mumbai. He sent his driver to pick me up from the airport and I was staying in his mansion. He told me not to inform you, since he wanted to give you a surprise ", Navya explained. 

Manik invited Abhimanyu, Alya ,  Zoya and her husband Aditya Hooda and unwillingly he had to call Aryaman too since it was Nandani's birthday. Manik's friends and Nandani's brother, uncle and aunt were also present. Everyone wished her and they did the cake-cutting. Other three love stories began between Cabir and Navya, Mukti and Abhimnayu , Dhruv and Alya.

They went on the dance-floor and the music was played. 

[ Cabir + Navya = Cavya  , Mukti + Abhimanyu = Mukhbi , Dhruv + Alya = Dhrulya , Manik + Nandani = Manan] 

Manik was looking right into Nandani's eyes while dancing and so was Nandani. The song got over but Manan were still lost in each other which was seen by Cabir. 

"Manik the song has got over", said Cabir pulling their legs. 

Nandani hid her face in Manik's chest and Manik showed an angry glare to Cabir. 

"Nandani baby I have one more surprise for you turn behind", said Manik. Nandani turned back and was shocked to see Mr and Mrs. Kapoor, Karthik's parents

Nandani was scared since she thought that Mrs. Kapoor would again bad mouth about Nandani's character, so she held Manik's hand tightly, digging her sharp nails into his skin. 

But her eyes opened wide with shock when Mrs. Kapoor apologized .

"Nandani dear, I am sorry for the blames I had put on you. Manik cleared everything to us with proof that Karthik died, since Harshad and his group ragged him, and posted his videos on social networking sites ", said Mrs. Kapoor

"I am sorry dear, for whatever we said. Please forgive us if possible and Happy Birthday. Stay blessed", said Mr. Kapoor

Nandani hugged Manik and cried, "Thank you Manik , for clearing out everything. I think I have done some good deeds in my previous life, to have a person like you in my life. I love you Manik"

"I love you more baby. Stop crying now ", he said wiping her tears. 

He went on his knees and proposed her for marriage, "Nandani Murthy will you marry me?"
