*Bryson POV*
I picked Caine up and placed his arm around my shoulder. He was heavy, but I wouldn't leave him down there in the torture room. I know that he would do the same thing. Once I got him up the stairs, I headed to his room. I opened the door and looked around.
It would do.
I set him on the bed and laid him down. I turned to leave when I spotted his phone. I quickly grabbed it and decided I was going to head to bed and then call my father.
He needed to know what I thought about him and what his step-brother did. It was completely disgusting. To think my father would support someone with that kind of habit. My stomach gets nauseous when I think about what I almost did to Jade.
I almost acted like Frank. I would never call him my Uncle again. I drûgged Jade and almost took her by force. I know she felt what we felt, but something was holding her back, and at the time I didn't even care.
Don't get me wrong taking her virgin was something I wanted so much. Knowing that Caine and I would be the first and last was so fûcking intoxicating. I wanted her virginal blood on my côck and Caine's. She was ours. It made me hard just thinking about it. She knew that she was ours, but my father had to ruin everything.
I shake my thoughts and reach to open my door when a hand lands on my shoulder. "Bryson, can we have a word with you?" I turned around and saw Anders, Jackson, and Carly standing there. I gulped inwardly but nodded my head.
I followed them until we reached a closed door. Carly opened it and motioned for us to enter. I walked in behind them and noticed a few chairs and a couch. "Please have a seat," Carly says calmly, as Jackson and Anders sit on the couch.
I nod in agreement and cautiously sit down on one of the chairs. Carly came up beside me and I instantly tensed. She chuckled softly and then patted my shoulder.
"I heard you met my mother-in-law and Aunt and that you had a good time downstairs," she whispered close to my ear.
"Bunny... leave the poor boy alone. Krista did enough already. Come over here and sit on my lap." Jackson said with amusement.
"Oh, where's the fun in that?" she scoffed and then stomped her foot. "Bunny. NOW." Jackson said more firmly. She turned around and pulled a knife out faster than I could imagine.
"If you or that other friend of yours, so much as hurt my daughter or even think of betraying her. I will make you suffer worse than I made Frank suffer before my two husbands killed him. That girl is my heart and I would do anything for her. Don't tempt me, boy, don't fûcking tempt me." Carly growled viciously then narrowed her eyes at me before she turned around, slipping the knife back in her pocket, then walked to Jackson, and then carefully sat down on his lap.
Fûck. Dean and that other guard weren't lying. I felt beads of sweat forming on my forehead.
"We have no plans of betraying your daughter or your family, Ma'am," I said with a firm tone.
"So... tell me about your father. My mother mentioned that his name was Steven." Anders said calmly with his arm wrapped around Carly's shoulder and set his palm on the edge of Jackson's shoulder.
I took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
"My father worked for your father back when he found your mother and brought her back home with you when you were two. He worked for the brothels your father ran. Frank was about sixteen when he was brought into our family. I wasn't born yet, but my father and Frank were close. When Landon killed Samantha I never knew that my father loved her. She is the only one I can think that he would be talking about.
"When I was three my father told me about the three of you. He told me everything that Frank told him. Well, at least what I thought was told, but just recently I found out that was all a lie, but anyways, he told me that his step-brother had loved a woman and that Jackson and Anders stole her away from him. Then he mentioned how his step-brother was killed. I am not sure how he knew all of this, but he was very specific in everything.
"He went into detail about how Frank was murdered, but with recent conversations, I don't believe a word he has told me throughout the years. He brainwashed Caine and my mind and told us all these horrific things your family did. He made it seem like your family was cruel and heartless.
"But when his step-brother was killed that threw him over the edge. He trained Caine and me hard and never let us be weak. He said we would help him get his revenge. I trained up until recently when I turned twenty-one.
"When he found out that Carly was pregnant with Jade, he was hellbent on killing her. He had pictures and everything. I am not sure how to tell you, but the only way he could have gotten information like that would be from someone on the inside.
"He wants Jade dead and then he wants to pick off the entire family. He wants Landon to suffer and he wants you and Jackson to suffer. Which means he will go for anything that you hold dear. this entire family is in danger." I said with caution.
"We have to go through the entire crew and find out who betrayed us," Jackson said gritting his teeth.
"I may be wrong, but that doctor friend of yours seemed kind of familiar to me. I never said anything, because I wasn't completely sure, but after helping him and the way he looked at me and Caine, I think he was afraid that we might recognize him. He seemed hesitant at first when he asked specifically for Caine and me, but when he didn't say or do anything, I figured I was just making it up." I said with frustration.
"George? Jackson killed his wife when Craig had taken her under his wing. They both had worked for my family for many years, but Craig had gotten into Kim's mind and she betrayed my father. She helped Craig and Frank get into my father's mansion. when Jackson came home and found Carly unconscious and her chest carved with Craig's name, then overheard Kim telling an unconscious Anders that she had to up his medication and drûg him more, well, my husband lost it and shot her dead. George swore his loyalty to my father, but he is the only one that it could be. He knows every single thing that happens here." Anders said clenching his fists tightly.
"I was in that room alone with that motherfûcker. I swear to God if he did anything to me. I will kill him too." Jackson snarled viciously.
*Ring*
*Ring*
Everyone's attention snapped to my hand. Caine's phone was ringing. I picked up the phone and looked at the screen. "It's my father." I said gulping, "He will kill me if he finds out I betrayed him."
"Answer it, Bryson, and put it on speaker." Anders growls.
I hit the button and answered it. Then placed it on speakerphone.
"Caine? Has Bryson woken up yet? Where in the fûck are you two? You were supposed to be back several hours ago." My father snapped out.
Anders motioned for me to answer.
"It's me, father," I said calmly, but I was hesitant about this call. "Bryson, thank God. What's going on?" He said with relief, but I could hear the caution in his voice.
"I... We... are still here. We haven't left yet." I said stuttering, but ended more firmly. "Why are you still there? I killed that whole fûcking family with the phone bomb. You both were slacking on your end, so I took care of it. Now you need to come home because I have several things to go over with you." He said with a cold tone.
"I'm not coming back Father and neither is Caine. We want out of whatever it is you have planned." I said gritting my teeth. "Excuse me? What the fûck did you just say to me? You backstabbing motherfûcker. You are so ungrateful and selfish. You will come home, Bryson, so help me god, otherwise, your mother will suffer the consequences." He said with a cold and cruel voice.
My face paled and my fingers began to tremble. "You wouldn't hurt Mom." I forced out. "Oh? Wouldn't I? It's not like I care about the bîtch. She is just a means to an end. I am only with her because she gave me you. I have no need for her. If you don't get your âss back home, she will suffer the consequences." He grated out.
"She loves you though. Why would you do that to her? You lied to us all these years. I fûcking hate you." I growled angrily, but realized my mistake, but it was too late.
"Lied to you? What the fûck does that mean?" My father says lowly. There was a silence and then I heard heavy breathing and things crashing on the other end of the line.
"They are still alive, aren't they? You... you chose their side, didn't you? After everything I told you they did. Did you choose that little bîtch over your family? I thought I raised you right, but apparently I failed. I'm coming for you all, that includes you and Caine as well." He snarled viciously, but I heard the snapping of fingers on his end.
No. Please. Don't let it be what I think it is.
"You're my son, Bryson. I will give you one more chance to repent. Come home and forget about that bîtch. We will find another way to destroy that family." He said with a cold tone.
"BRYSON? GET YOUR HANDS OFF OF ME YOU SON OF A BÎTCH. BRYSON!" My mom screamed out and I heard a loud slap and then she was silent.
"Shut the fûck up. I don't want to hear your voice. What is your decision, son?" He said chuckling darkly.
I looked over at Anders, Jackson, and Carly. They were livid, but I knew it wasn't at me. They were trying so hard to keep their mouths shut.
"Mom? Mom?" I said frantically. "I-I'm here, Bryson." She whispered roughly. "Do you remember what you told me, Mom, every night before bed?" I said roughly.
She inhaled sharply and then began sobbing uncontrollably. "Yes, I remember." she sniffled. "I love you Mom and you will always have my heart, but she's for me what father is to you. I don't want to choose, Mom." I gritted out as tears ran down my face.
"Oh, please. Would the two of you shut the hêll up? You're making me nauseous." My father spit out.
"Bryson, you have your whole life ahead of you. I have already lived mine. You are my reason for living this life, Bryson. You are my soul baby." My Mom says firmly, "I SAID SHUT YOUR FÛCKING MOUTH." My father growled angrily. "If you love her, then you fight for her baby. Don't you look back or regret anything," she whispered roughly.
"AHHHHH... WHY DON'T YOU JUST FÛCKING LISTEN." My father says. I hear him slapping my mother and her begging for him to stop, but he doesn't.
"I... love you... mom... forever." I choked out.
"I love you too baby," She strained out and then I heard a gun go off several times.
"Time to die, bîtch. Good riddance," My father says chuckling.
*Bang*
*Bang*
*Bang*
With each Bang, I flinched and began gasping for oxygen. I fell to the ground clawing at my chest as my heart clenched painfully.
"I gave you a chance and you blew it. Now your mommy dearest is dead and it is all your fault. I'm coming for you. You won't even know when, but all things must come to an end. I wash my hands of you Bryson. You are nothing to me. Goodbye." My father disconnected the call and Carly rushed over to me.
"Bryson?" she said frantically as she patted my cheeks. Anders and Jackson were rushing out of the room looking for help.
I felt the darkness closing in on me.
Black spots filled my vision.
My mom was dead.
I killed my mom, she's dead because of me. The one person who loved me unconditionally throughout my whole life. The one person who was there for me no matter what.
She was dead now.
And it was all my fault.
I closed my eyes and let the darkness consume me until all that was left was my broken shattered heart and emptiness.
