Gathering everything for their trip, Lady Beth generously lent some of her old but reliable friends to guard Lilia on their return to the west wood. It won’t take a while but Lady Beth was completely worried since those men sent by the alpha insisted to join Lerio and Lilia on their travel. They were completely wary about Lilia since they are still doubting her.
The West Wood was a large place that covers almost half of the land of the West, several species already made nests at the borders but feared to walk deeper since the infamous evil witch named “Liliech” was residing there.
But the current Liliech they all feared was currently walking towards the small town at the border, accompanied by Lerio and some men which were completely out of her style.
“Hey,” she called closely to Lerio, the reliable man, “I thought we were going to retrieve my memories?”
Lerio just glanced at her, “Yes.”
Liliech glanced back and could still see the intense stare of Uriel’s group on her, she turned to Lerio, “I’m the patient here and I am not comfortable with those men. Their eyes felt like they’re going to swallow me whole, can’t you feel it?”
“I can,” Lerio answered
“Then won’t you do something about it?” Liliech exclaimed
Lerio turned to her, “Like what?”
“I don’t know…maybe talk to them?”
Lerio stared at her for a while then asked, “Don’t you feel like beating them up? Or burn their tongue since it makes you uncomfortable?”
Liliech was surprised but delighted, “Can I?” she was barely holding herself down since she decided to be careful knowing that she got inside the body of a Luna.
Hearing her statement, Lerio laughed, “No, it isn’t allowed but you love doing it. Those were things you were known for.”
They passed a steep hill to reach the small village on the border of the west wood, they were a small pack of wolves that chose to seclude themselves in this area away from the raging competition of beasts in the Land. Liliech knew them since her sense of smell scopes the whole forest and she could track them in just a small movement but since they are all weak, she didn’t even waste her time giving any attention to them.
“Your hand,” Lerio asked, giving her his hand as they traveled down the steep slope.
But Liliech frowned, “What is that?”
“This area is guarded by several traps, I need to guide you since you’re the weakest here,” Lerio answered
It felt like some angry root bulged around her head and slapped away Lerio’s hand. She was the strongest witch that was produced in her batch, no one even dared to underestimate her abilities and so what if she was in another body? She was still the same!
She no longer wanted to deal with the men around her and stepped forward on her own but it felt like her feet and body weighed so light that she missed the very first step and dropped down on the ground, sliding down that steep slope and completely went ahead from her group.
“LILIA!’ Lerio screamed and lowered his figure, legs spread to carefully slide down that path to chase Liliech.
Then the end of that steep slope was a big trunk of a tree. She needs to balance herself or else she’ll die the second time! Her hands cupped the dried leaves on the ground as she continuously slide down and she felt something like a rope beneath the leaves and immediately pulled it out.
The relief she got immediately disappeared when a net was pulled out from the ground the moment she pulled that rope, it trapped her around and dragged her upward. The roped connected to it was tied to the tree above them.
Lerio had safely landed from that steep path only to see her small figure struggling on that net, the men with them followed down and can’t help but burst into laughter seeing her struggle on that net.
“Oh our dear Luna, how can you be so naïve?” one of Uriel’s men laughed
“And weak.” one of them seconded.
A werewolf being trapped in a net is completely a humiliation!
Lerio gave them a silencing look as he called out, “Hang in there.”
Lerio took a step forward to swiftly climb on the tree to tear down the rope but it seemed like he stepped on another trap and at that moment, a log tied in several ropes was loosened on another tree and swung forward towards Liliech who still struggling inside that net. In just a second, she saw the face of the log and it hit her up in great strength that the rope was loosened! The net along with her was thrown on the other side of the woods with her fading scream.
Lerio was completely dumbstruck. He was momentarily frozen hearing the echo of Liliech’s voice even the men who accompanied them had the same feeling. Their heads followed along with Liliech’s figure who was completely thrown to the other side and was frozen after, they came with different intentions but seeing the Luna disappear in their sight made them tremble in fear.
But Lerio was the first to snap back and screamed, “LILIA!” as he transformed into a big brown wolf. A majestic beta wolf that had his life dedicated to the Luna. He swiftly ran in the direction of Liliech to catch up with her and seeing him transform, the other men also transformed to follow him since they were also responsible for the life of the Luna.
While they were in their panic state, Liliech suddenly felt the feeling of flying in the air for the first time but she knew it wasn’t the case and when she finally landed, she broke several branches of a tree as she slowly drop down and landed on the ground with impact.
She groaned. For the first time in her life, she felt something so remarkable that could scar her reputation for life.
Never in her lifetime, she was humiliated like this. She cursed and sat up, she oath to kill the people who set up that childish trap!
“S-STOP!” he heard a voice behind her and when she turned around, it was a group of children.
“S-Stop moving!” one of the boys called out pointing some sharpened wooden rod at her.
“Eliot, should we just wait for your father?” one of the boys whispered to the boy who seemed to have been leading them. Bracing themselves with bravery while trembling
“No, we must act on our own. What if it is that witch in wood?” the boy asked back despite the trembling on his hand, the wooden rod was still pointed at Liliech.
With his determination, the others followed.
“Speak. Who are you?” the boy named Eliot said with an authoritative tone
But Liliech grinned and stood cupping her clothes from the dust she got.
“So you were the ones who set up those traps?” she asked in a darker tone
