Kenji walked off. He considered calling the police but thought against it. Damn, he hated drunk drivers. He went inside to catch the news on TV. After the lead stories passed, there was a press conference from Congressman Berttini’s office. Lo and behold, it was his neighbor, James, giving it. Short and sweet.
“Mr. Johnson’s termination from the congressman’s office was for good cause. For obvious legal reasons, we don’t discuss personnel matters, except to say it had nothing to do with him being a homosexual. No one in the office knew of that status.
