Chapter 38 Having Lunch Together

When Andrew saw Catherine's expression, he became embarrassed and apologized, "Sorry, Dr. Winston."

It was Andrew who made Catherine in such a hurry.

"Dr. Winston, I called you." Ryan interrupted his father. As it happened, he should not say anything else.

"I want to have lunch with you, so I rang the bell." Ryan said with innocence and sincerity, "I'm sorry. I didn't know it would be so serious."

If Andrew did such a thing, Catherine would blame him. If Ryan did so, Catherine would feel that he was just naughty because he was just a nine-year-old kid,

And Ryan apologized to her quite sincerely, so she didn't want to blame him.

Ryan has been looking up to her and he was afraid that she would be angry. Catherine raised her eyebrow and she could only look down at Ryan, "It's fine."

"Could you please have lunch with me together? I want to have lunch with you. Don't take my dad with us."

Was his son really helping him? Andrew frowned but the smile on his face remained the same.

Catherine glanced at Andrew. With such a son, he should be proud but helpless. After all, his son was so adorable.

Adorable? If Zoey knew Catherine used such a gentle adjective to describe Ryan, she probably would not mind to remind her how naughty Ryan had been.

Catherine looked at Andrew. She didn't know whether it was a psychological effect. She always felt that Andrew smiled reluctantly.

"It's all right. Take your father." Catherine rubbed Ryan's head.

"That's good," Ryan answered.

Catherine felt that she fell into Ryan's trap.

Andrew couldn't help laughing, "Let's go. I found a nice restaurant nearby yesterday."

"Well, yes." Catherine nodded. Since she promised to go to lunch, of course she would listen to Andrew's advice.

On the way to the hospital gate, Catherine noticed that there were a lot of envious looks and gossips. Catherine frowned and sighed. Her colleagues were fond of gossiping during their boring daily work.

Weren't there many patients today?

When they walked to the hospital gate, a car rushed to stop at the gate.

When Andrew saw the car, he smiled as usual. He remembered this was Leonard's car, although he has only seen it once.

He looked at his son. It seemed that it's unlikely for the three to have lunch together.

Ryan couldn't recognize Leonard's car, but soon he saw the person who got out of the car. Why was Leonard here?

When Leonard saw the three people walked out of the hospital side by side, he thought that the harmonious scene was really irritating.

Catherine also saw Leonard. She told herself to ignore him, but she could not help but stop her steps.

Ryan was holding Catherine's hand. As Catherine stopped, Ryan stopped too, so Andrew who was holding Ryan's hand also stopped.

"Where are you going?" Leonard was calm and he didn't pull her away like yesterday.

"Uncle, we're going to have lunch with Catherine." Ryan raised his head, looking at Leonard with complacency and provocation. He didn't want Leonard to disturb them.

But how could Leonard be so obedient?

Suddenly, Leonard smiled, "In that case, we can have lunch together. Can I join you?"

Ryan looked at Leonard and his eyes were full of hostility.

But before Ryan spoke, Leonard heard a voice, "Yes."

Andrew turned back to look at Catherine, who agreed with Leonard's request. Ryan also felt unbelievable. Didn't the two have a bad relationship? Why would Catherine agree to let this man have dinner together?

Catherine actually did not think so much. She just simply felt that if the three people had lunch together, there would be a lot of rumors. If Leonard joined them, it should be better.

As Catherine agreed, the other two people had no opinion. Leonard smiled and pulled Catherine's hand.

When Ryan looked over, Leonard said to Catherine, "Dr. Winston works hard. Let me hold your hand."

As Catherine didn't have any opinion, Ryan could say nothing.

Catherine felt it was all right, but when they arrived at the restaurant, Leonard found that it was too late to regret.

so the four people went to the restaurant recommended by Andrew. Leonard was not picky about the environment in the restaurant unexpectedly.

When they were ready to sit down, there was disagreement. All three wanted to sit on the same side with Catherine.

But Andrew looked at his son and he sat down opposite Catherine.

Ryan was sitting next to Catherine, but he carried away by Leonard, who sat down by Catherine's side.

"You!" Ryan looked angrily at Leonard.

Leonard slowly poured himself and Catherine each a cup of coffee, "Sit next to your father so he can take care of you."

"I've grown up! No one needs to take care of me."

"You are only 9 years old." Leonard wouldn't stand up anyway. It's impossible for others to sit beside his woman.

Andrew took a look at Leonard and patted Ryan's shoulder, "Dr. Winston should be hungry."

Then he handed one menu to Catherine and one to Ryan.

Looking at his father, Ryan silently took the menu, "Catherine, what would you like to eat?"

Leonard directly named a few dishes that Catherine loved to eat to the waiter.

"Do you know 'lady first'?" Ryan rolled his eyes towards Leonard.

Leonard took a glance at Ryan. He knew Ryan did so deliberately and he didn't say anything.

Andrew saw that Catherine closed the menu and handed it to him.

Therefore, Leonard knew Catherine's preference completely. It seemed that Leonard was really a strong rival.
