'GIVE ME THIS DAY' HE SAID

"Hey, what's the matter?" a familiar face popped in to see him closer.

"Go away." Fendice shoved her face tirelessly as he lean his head on the table.

Mierin chuckled and joined him on the table, "You look exhausted. Did you slept late? Or did you watch the whole season of that anime?" she said as she sipped his coffee

Fendice groaned, "Father unreasonably scolded me the whole night again." he said not moving on his position

Mierin laughed, "What did you do this time? You didn't even came yesterday for the get-together."

Fendice made an irritating groan as he place his arms on the table and leaned his numbing head on it, "I was unlucky yesterday that's all." he said without speaking a word about what happened between him and Shawn.

Mentioning his name on his mind make him shiver to the core.

"By the way, I heard Shawn and your Father was planning to complete the partnership." Mierin said

He grown an angry root and abruptly face her, "I don't care and stop mentioning names, it makes my morning worst."

"What? Your morning looked destroyed already." Meirin laughed.

Mieirin was his best friend, they graduated together in the same program but she's currently employed at Reel's company which makes things awkward for Fendice working alone in an unfamiliar company, he has never been socially inclined in making friends.

And as an energy booster, this is the usual place they both have breakfast. A peaceful place before going to work.

"But hey I'm dead serious Fendice, your Father will have a partnership to Liu! Doesn't that concern you?" she expressed her sentiment on Fendice who got himself plumped infront.

"The chance of you being on the higher position will lessen because partnerships means more competitive employees will join the bandwagon!" she's referring to joint units where employees from the partnered company will have a role on the growth of the partnered Company.

"It's okay. I'm a useless son after all." he mumbled

"What?" Meirin asked

"I'm a worthless son that was unintentionally brought on this world." he mumbled to himself. Remembering what his father spoke to him all night, scolding him whenever he want to.

"Yes you're worthless because you're so sluggish and timid." Meirin sighed.

"Maybe Uncle is just a bit worried to your future."

Fendice straightened up, "Worried my face, he's been scolding me and wanted me to go abroad. What kind of father would do that to his youngest son?" he complained

Meirin frowned, "Really? He wanted you to go abroad? But why?"

"Because I'm a useless son." he replied in a gloomy face once again.

Mieirin laughed, "That's why I kept telling you to change for the better. Become more proactive and competitive!"

But Fendice ignored her words and glanced at his watch, "It's time." he released another depressing sigh.

"I'm going. I need to work to make a living." he said before standing up

Mierin could only laugh at him, Fendice has always been like this. Tired, timid, lazy and unreasonably frustrated to life which he made for himself.

Fendice walked out on the place and spotted a familiar car. He frowned but ignored it, his mind has been busy thinking for his future financial saving when he got to leave his father's home. He need to save a lot-lot money to sustain him until the end where he can no longer ask for support on his parents or siblings because his father has been nagging him all day long.

He concluded that staying in the house will just become a bigger issue on their family because they would always nag at him that being a free loader, that he no longer need to be sheltered.

Femdice walked on the sidewalk meters away from the restaurant when that car beeped at him. He ignored it thinking that it wasn't meant for him.

But the car moved towards his side and directly beeped at his direction which made him finally turn to it.

"Hi Fendice." the car window opened and a face, which he never want to see now, showed up.

He frowned and looked ahead, he hastened his steps as if he didn't knew the person inside the car.

"Ignoring me now?" Shawn grinned and rode the car slowly to follow his large steps.

Fendice completely shut himself and just stared ahead.

But Shawn, determined to disturb until he turn his attention to him continued on beeping and calling for him. And in Fendice's impatience, he stopped and turned to glare at the man.

Shawn beamed a smile.

"Come." he invited

Fendice raised his brows, "I am fine by walking Sir."

"Really? Observed on how you take your paces, you'll reach the building by 8AM. Don't you think it's a bit late for the working hour?" Shawn leaned his arm on the edge of the car window, grinning.

"My company cannot tolerate such behavior... Oh, are you always like this every single day?" Shawn pretended to get shocked on the idea teasing him more.

But Fendice don't find it funny and gritted his teeth. He once respected and admire the man's leadership and skills but it was completely destroyed after yesterday.

He just publicly harassed him!

"Sir, please don't act like your being friendly and all. You're just a douche that has nothing to do with me. Now if I may." he excused himself and walked away not waiting for his response but he suddenly heard the door opened.

He glanced back and his eyes widened because Shawn Liu got off the car and walked towards him!

He immediately ran away as fast as he can. Disregarding poise and manner, he ran like a rabbit being hunted.

'Stupid Shawn Liu!' he whispered on his mind.

All of a sudden, a hand reached his arm and pulled him back. He clumsily stumbled due to the force but the man got hold of him having him wrap his arms around his waist.

But Fendice, realizing it was Shawn, he harshly pulled out from his embrace but bounced back when Shawn pulled him again.

"And because we're late on work, why don't we skip for today?" Shawn asked, holding him tight.

Fendice struggled like a dying chicken but the man was too strong.

"No thank you." he said trying to free himself because the people who were passing by started to stare at them in confusion. Some are already whispering.

"I'll let you go if you say yes." Shawn grinned

"I am completely sorry if I did anything wrong or have mistaken you but for goodness sake, please let go!" Fendice has started to get embarassed from the stares, the passerbys eyes clearly conveys irritation as if they're a couple showing off.

He wanted to be this kind of romantic but not with the Liu's CEO!

"Say yes." Shawn spoke without a hint of letting go.

Fendice groaned, "Okay yes!" he shouted impatiently.

Shawn smiled and freed him from his embrace. Fendice thought he was completely free and was about to run away again but Shawn's hand was grip-locked on his arm.

"Why are you running away?" Shawn titled his head in wonder.

Fendice twitched in irritation but straightened up to properly talk to the man.

"Mr. Liu I don't know if you're just joking around but I wanted to tell you that I am honestly disgusted to your vulgar actions that haunted me overnight and my respect to you has completely shattered. So will you please joke around people who can cope up with your behavior." he said with a straight face, without pause.

Silence occupied them both, letting the people stare and whisper around them.

After a while, Shawn Liu curved a smile.

He let go of Fendice's arm and gently took his hand.

He leaned to kiss it gently.

"Just give me this day Fendice, and I'll stop."
