Be careful

Flora's behavior had taken an unexpected turn since the time Nora confronted her in the dinning hall. Damien couldn't understand why she was acting scared of Nora, it felt like she was constantly trying to create confusion between them. Flora would whisper things in his ear when Nora wasn't around, making insinuations that made Damien doubt Nora's character. One afternoon, Damien found Flora sitting alone in the library, seemingly lost in thought. Determined to get to the bottom of the situation, Damien approached her cautiously. "Flora, can we talk?" Damien asked, taking a seat beside her. Flora looked up, blinking away a few tears. "Oh, Damien. I didn't expect you to come talk to me." Confused, Damien couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Flora. "Why wouldn't I? You're my friend. What's been going on between you and Nora?" Flora bit her lip, seemingly conflicted. "I... I heard rumors about her, Damien. Rumors that she's been bullying people and got to know that am not the only one. She has been manipulating everyone around her. I'm just trying to protect you. You deserve to know the truth." Damien's heart sank. He didn't know if he could believe that Nora could be capable of such behavior. Nonetheless, he needed to hear Flora out. "Flora, it's hard for me to accept these rumors without any proof. And Nora has always been kind and considerate to everyone. How can I trust these allegations?" Flora sighed, her eyes filled with desperation. "Damien, I know how you feel about Nora. But think about it logically. Why would someone like me, someone who's been by your side and hers for all those months, try to hurt you? You know me better than that." Damien stared at her, his mind swirling with confusion. He couldn't deny that he really did develop a friendship with Flora, but he also couldn't dismiss the trust he had in Nora. "But Flora, I've known Nora for a while now, and she's shown me nothing but kindness. I can't just turn my back on her based on rumors alone." Flora looked down at her hands, her voice barely a whisper. "You should at least consider the possibility, Damien. Maybe you're also under her spell." Damien's heart ached at Flora's words. "Flora listen, I can't believe am saying this but I care about you, cause your my friend but I won't let baseless rumors cloud my judgment. I need to confront Nora and find the truth for myself." As Damien stood up, ready to seek out Nora, Flora reached out and grabbed his wrist, tears streaming down her face. "Damien, please. Promise me that you'll be careful. Don't let her manipulations cloud your judgment. Promise me." Damien hesitated for a moment before gently pulling his wrist from Flora's grip. "I promise, Flora. I'll listen to you, but I also need to listen to Nora. And until I find the truth, I won't let my emotions take over." With that, Damien left the library, his mind filled with a mix of doubt and determination. He had to confront Nora, not to accuse her, but to understand what was happening between them. He couldn't let his feelings for her blind him from possible deception, nor could he let Flora's fear dictate his choices. As he walked towards where he knew he would find Nora, Damien took a deep breath, reminding himself to approach the situation with an open mind and a steady heart. In the quest for truth, he needed to preserve both his friendships and his feelings.
