R A I N
We were having our dinner when we heard a few knocks resounded in the living room. Kelsey stood and looked whoever it was.
"Good evening, Kelsey. Is Rain here?" I heard Jack's friendly voice asked.
"Hello Jack. I'll go call him." Kelsey said and went out of the kitchen. "Jack's looking for you." She said.
I stood, excusing myself and walked to the living room. He must be there because he invited me to a party outside the pack land and knowing Zach would be there, I didn't feel like going and I also don't feel so well, but. . . I couldn't say no to Jack. Not after three years of not seeing him.
"Hey!" I greeted and he smiled. "Did you eat already? We're having dinner."
"Thanks, I already eat at home." He said and dad came out of the kitchen.
"Jack! Come. We're having dinner." Dad invited and Jack looked at me, troubled in a cute manner. I fought not to laugh because he didn't know how to refuse, especially if it was dad.
"Okay?" He said and we walked to the kitchen bumping his elbow to mine and I just chuckled.
Jack sat next to me and he only eat a little.
"What's the reason why our alpha's son is here?" Mom said after drinking her glass of water.
"Um, yeah. We're going out tonight and I would like to take Rain with me." He said. "We wanted to catch up with our three years of not seeing each other."
"Sure." Dad said immediately and mom followed.
There was no way they could say no to Jack.
"Thank you."
"We can't say no since it's your birthday." Mom said.
"Can Kelsey also come?" My sister said and mom and dad just looked at her. She pouted her lips and sulked on her seat.
Jack chuckled. "Maybe after you turn eighteen." He reached his hand and ruffled her hair making her blush slightly and nodded.
Jack waited for me as I changed my clothes. We first went back to the pack house because he also needed to change his clothes but I stayed and waited outside. I tucked my jacket closer to me when the cold night air blew.
I was leaning to one of the cars parked there in front of the pack house and my sluggish senses woke up and my eyes from staring blankly at the ground when I smelt him, and it was getting stronger every second. It made my stomach turn and I felt sick. I raised the collar of my jacket and pressed it on my nose but the scent just passes through the fabric making me groan.
My heart was beating erratically in my chest and my wolf was trying to kick out making me feel uneasy and uncomfortable.
I stood straight and decided to start walking back when I heard the front door of the pack house opened and it went worst. I struggled to breathe and the intoxicating scent was getting heavier and heavier.
I kept my gaze to the ground because I was afraid that my eyes were glowing. I tried to calm myself down but I couldn't. My heart was beating so fast that it was ringing in my ears.
"Rain." Jack called and I raised my head to look at him. I could sense that Zach was also looking at me but I never dared to look back at him when he was the reason why I was turning like this. "Let's go." Jack said and I nodded.
We went inside his car that I was leaning a minute ago. I felt calmer when I am with Jack which was good. We drove for fifteen minutes before we arrived at our destination and I had the urge to remove my jacket because it seemed like Zach's scent was sticking there, but it was too cold. I didn't even know if I could really endure it all night.
When we went into a crowded pub, I felt dizzy from all the lights, the blaring sounds, and the scent. It was all mixing up. I was surprised to see my old friends there and I really wanted to chat with them, but I could only manage to crack a small smile.
I refused all the drinks that they offered and just sat comfortably on the sofa. I didn't mind when I was the only one left at the table and they were all dancing. It was better.
Maybe it would be better to go to the restroom. I guess it would be a little bit quieter there. I stood and walked to where the restroom was. I was surprised at what I saw when I opened the door. Two men were making out boldly and one of them was already naked and the other was only in his jeans. They went inside one of the cubicles and continued what they were doing when they saw me.
A chill ran down my spine every time I heard their moans and it was way far worst there. I just washed my hand and planned on going out immediately when someone from my back pressed me at the sink.
I didn't know the man basing on his reflection. His hands were in the sink leaving me no space to escape. A pervert was the last thing I wanted in my current situation.
"I was watching you the moment you entered here." He said, his mouth was so near my ears I could feel his warm breath and it just made me feel so disgusted. I was about to elbow him when he guessed what I was about to do and held my arms.
"I'm not into guys. Sorry." I said and it seemed like my breathing became heavy again and I felt like throwing up and I wanted to throw up to that pervert's face.
He gathered both my hands and his other hand was on my nape. I didn't have the strength to fight him back no matter how I tried from dizziness making me curse. He pushed my nape making me bent until my forehead hit the mirror. It was some kind of a kinky position for me.
I was gathering my strength when the door flew open and for the first time, I was glad that I smelt the familiar spicy sweet scent. Zach kicked the pervert, throwing him to the floor and my knees just gave in and I slid down.
Zach caught me in the middle of falling down and I almost hit my head with the sink. My back was pressed on his chest making me shiver. Zach wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me and it felt so right. It was all gone, the nausea, dizziness and headaches, and I was afraid to open my eyes but I had to when we heard the door flew open.
It was the cubicle where that horny couple came in and I was glad that they were fully dressed now. They both looked at me and Zach and I let go of Zach's hold feeling embarrassed. I also noticed that the pervert was already gone.
"Thanks." I muttered without looking at him and I jumped when he held my arm and dragged me out of the men's restroom. All I could hear now was our beating hearts instead of the blaring music. I was only looking at Zach's hand that was holding mine and carelessly followed him.
We went outside of that noisy place from the back door. It was a dark alley with huge trash bins were located but despite the darkness, I could still see him clearly. We just stood there while he was still holding my hand until he turned to look at me, and it was so. . . powerful. It was pulling me to him. I didn't know if he was feeling the same but he looked at me as if he felt the same.
I was taken aback when he pulled my hand making me took a few steps forward towards him. He again wrapped his arms around mine making me suck my breath and the fact that he was so close, I was drowned by his scent.
I didn't avoid him when his face was leaning closer. I felt excited and I didn't wait for his lips to land my lips, I was the one who kissed him first surprising him. I stretched my lips with a smile.
Surely, I'd kissed girls but Zach's lips were different. I didn't know that a guy's lips were better than girls or maybe because it was just the fact that we were mates that made it felt something. He pushed my chest making me step back but without disconnecting our lips until my back hit the freezing wall. I placed my hands at the back of his head making the kiss go deeper.
We both released a moan when we used our tongues. . . but we were interrupted when the back door flew open. I pushed Zach's shoulders away and turned my head to see Jack who was looking from his twin brother to me, back and forth for a moment and he moved to snatch my arm and pulled me beside him.
"You okay?" Jack asked me and I saw Zach rolled his eyes.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I said. Jack misunderstood but it was better than getting us caught kissing in a dark alley.
"He didn't do anything, did he?" Jack looked at Zach who scratched his head.
"Think whatever you want to think." Zach said and walked to the door and before he went inside, our eyes met and it made me shiver.
"He just saved me from a pervert." I said. " He didn't do anything to me."
Jack looked at me thinking if he should believe me or not.
"I'm fine and if he ever does something, I'm not a kid anymore. I'm eighteen and I can fight him back." I said and it seemed to convince him.
I was thankful that Jack interrupted us because I didn't know what would happen next if he didn't barge in.
What will happen next. . .
"As long as you're okay." He said.
"I can protect myself." He smiled at me and I felt guilty for keeping it a secret.
Jack opened the back door and went ahead inside but I stayed standing outside. "Would you believe if I say that Zach and I are mates?"
Jack paused for a while and then chuckled. "You're joking." He said and I just looked at him, not moving. "Seriously?"
"I'm serious. We're mates and I don't know why it was him out of all the people here on earth." I said and he looked at me as if it was a joke. It was so sudden for him.
"If that's true. . . Zach's not that bad if you get to know him better, and he's lucky to have you as his mate." He smiled and I nodded.
"Yeah? We're still working it out, I guess."
I went home ahead of them and hitch a ride with one of Zach's friend. We were silent along the road and I was glad that he never really attempt to bring up a conversation. I thanked him after dropping me to my house. I went directly to my room and threw myself at the bed without bothering to change my clothes and my thoughts immediately drifted away to Zach.
I rolled on my bed back and forth remembering the kiss we shared at the back of the pub. I was the one who kissed him!
And come to think of it. I didn't feel so sick anymore, only a slight throbbing on my head, but it was bearable.
I forced to close my eyes and sleep. I could think of those things tomorrow.
But sleep never came and I couldn't stop thinking about it again.
I think my mind was sick.
